Indian Idol 5 Winner Mynampati Sreeram Chandra is a professional singer from Hyderabad who sings for Telugu film industry.Sreeram Chandra won Indian Idol Season 5 on August 15, 2010 which was announced by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan in Indian Idol 5 final results.Two mega events took place on Aug 15 one was India's Independence Day and other was Indian Idol's Finale where Sreeram Chandra, Rakesh Maini and Bhoomi Trivendi were the three contestants who entered in to the finale of 'Indian Idol 5'. But the Indian Idol 5 Winner is Mynampati Sreeram Chandra from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Sreeram Chandra has beaten Gujarati girl Bhoomi Trivendi and Agra boy Rakesh Maini and won the grand finale at Filmistan Studio. Sreeram Chandra has already worked as a playback singer for several Telugu movies before entering the music reality show.

Sriram Chavdra 24-year-old singer beat Rakesh Maini from Agra and Bhoomi Trivedi of Baroda to win 50 lakh in prize money, a one year contract with Sony BMG, a Tata Winger car, and a chance to sing a song in a Yash Raj Films' project. Sreeram has already recorded a duet with singer Shreya Ghosal for a telugu film.

Bollywood megastar, Amitabh Bachchan made the final even bigger with his presence. The judges Saleem Marchant, Sunidhi Chouhan and Anu Malik went along with the People's decision. In the Indian Idol 5 Finale Sreeram Chandrae 67-years-old, Amitabh Bachchan entertained every one with his dance. He performed for the song 'Say Shava Shava' from his film 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'. Amitabh Bachchan has praised the show and also admitted that he is a regular viewer of the show and he said that his wife Jaya Bachchan is also a big fan of the show.
