Well said shivani!😊
Sa re ga ma pa is the original platform which gave us the musical singing programs for the first time and all other programs followed them. They have given us numerous wounderful voices e.g. Sonu Nigam, Sherya, Konal ganjawala, Sadhna sagam etc. The credit for all this hard work goes to Gajinder Singh and Z-tv. Hat's off to them for introducing such a brilliant concept. Singers are not in short supply anymore.
I remember once I read it in Filmfare that Mr.O.P.Nayar sahib, instead of taking a senior artist he took a new singer (Dilraj Kaur) for his new film. I will not name that senior singer whom he had dropped but you can figure out yourself. Later on, few months down the road when he wanted to sign that senior artist for his new movie, she refused to sing and suggested him that he should better get his songs sung by his new singer. From that day he never approached that senior singer again. Most of the times he worked with Ashaji and other new voices.
I mean to say is that our veteran singers had monopoly that time but now tables have been turned around.
