And yes he will be back as judge. I am glad he is. So he might improve his image then 😊 Really does not matter as long as he sings well...Looks are just extra 😉

BTW did u like Classically Mild or not? Yes dear ji 😛 Really good 👏

I am a Rafi fan and I loved Sonu until recently...Did u catch his tribute to Rafi saab? He butchered all Rafisaab's song and that was the turning point for me...I started noticing his voice changing...Weight in his voice is not there mostly and voice shakes alot...But he still is the best out there compared to many 😃

I became a Rafi Saab fan after listening to all those tributes. Seriously.
I think you are specifically talking about that concert in London. Right?
Can't comment much on the technicalities. I am a layman when it comes to music. But I don't find any changes in his voice 😊

Chalo I am glad to know that you liked Classically Mild. 😊 We don't get to hear such kind of work much often...especially from a mainstream Bollywood singer.

I am so glad to know that Tribute to Rafisaab given by Dear Sonu made u a Rafifan that is very good news...Yes and that concert was in London...Western orchestra can't do the justice to Indian especially old Rafi saab songs...You do have good taste in music 😃 C YA BTW I am a layman just like u r 😃

That concert has got a mixed response. But its a hellva job to sing with a 75 member outfit. It will sound good when you don't compare with the original. Rafi saab just can't be matched. 😊

Anyways lets keep this thread down to Sreeram Appreciation thread only...😃

Ah Sreeram really blossomed in todays episode. I think he just entered a new phase in his journey. His singing has always been worthy of praises. However, today for the first time his inner personality emerged. He was not just smiling, he owned the stage, he moved around, he danced, he interacted, he evoked various vocal expressions, he was playful, he was melodic - he brought a whole lot together that he never did before. I loved this new roopa of Sreeram. He is definitely one contestant on the right track and can go far no matter what.

Anyway, although I am yet to watch the last couple performances - today's episode kind of showed the power of music. I think singing RD's compositions brought ought something in all of them.

Okay I always liked Sreeram..he's always been my second favorite (everyone already knows who my first is LOL) just because his emotion, performance..watever you may call it..feel..just NEVER touched my heart..i would be like yea hes a great singer and movie on
Today's gala though was when my jaw dropped and was really pleasantly surprised how he really got through to me for the first time
(Also wanna add that sunidhi happened to agree with me! 😃 )
Now about the breathless song from yesterday, it's commendable truley to attempt such a song like that and total hats off to him! BUT i wasn't pleased with the performance..YES its hard, but if i have to be brutally honest, there was just to much gasping on his part for me to even hear his voice...it was only when shankar stepped in and they joined in to a MUCH FASTER tempo that it was AWESOMEE...he was better with shankar but alone, not so much
sreeramians dont hate! still a fan! 🥳

I have been to atleast 5 concerts of SEL and whenever shankar sings this song he goes for the faster tempo version rather than original version. Usually breathing will be taken in a single note so its easier to mask the breath if its sung in a faster tempo, only problem with the faster tempo is the word clarity which one can overcome by practice.

his rendition of breathless was commendable. Even his tempo was slower, compared witht eh faster tempo along with Shankar Mahadevan, but singing such a difficult song is fantastic....

I have seen many shows where ppl hav attempted to sing this song.. even shankar mahadevan didnot perform it as the original.. but yesterday, when shankar mahadevan attempted it along with Sreeram, it was mind blowing.. 👏.. they both sung it so welll...

fantastico..👏👏

well done sree
