The whole point of making a show like Indian Idol was because the world could know about India or any other countries great singers. But here on IF people are constantly talking about their attitude. I dont get why they are bashing on Yashraj's personality when obviously hes a good singer. I know he is not the best but he has every right to be confident when he has as much talent in him.

When we don't judge Meghna with sympathy, when we don't support Tia for her cuteness, why should we bring Yashraj down because we think he has attitude issues? Yashraj is a good singer, in fact, he is one of the better ones of the lot. I'd prefer a good arrogant singer on the show over a bad modest singer, because in the end, the show focuses on singing. And we shouldn't forget that!

Two things about Yashraj ...

1) If you don't support Yashraj because of that Youtube video you watched online of some show, let me just say this. We all have seen reality shows and we know how low they will stoop for TRPs. Even if all of that was true, Yashraj is quite young right now ... I think 19. In that case, he was even younger at the time. What does a teenage boy know about love? Secondly, just because the girl was involved does not automatically mean that Yashraj was at fault. So without knowing the whole truth, how can we make judgments about him then?

2) As far as his overconfidence goes, I already see an improvement. It may all be a farce, he may just be trying to sound modest, but at least he's trying. He's been on TV before, he knows he's good and better of the lot, and he knows he's has it in him. People like that always go through up and downs ---- fame gets to everyone's head. And hopefully he'll learn soon and bring himself back down to earth.

Having said that, at this point in the competition. We are only looking for GOOD SINGERS. That is it. We need to pick the best singers of the lot regardless of other things. When we have say our Top Six ... and they are ALL great singers, yes, then you can look at things beyond singing. When all the singers are good, then you can focus on other things that contribute to a good Idol. And then we can bring in personality, and good looks, and levels of cuteness, and other X-factors. But as of right now, its ONLY singing. And Yashraj has proved himself time and again. He has a really nice voice, and his singing is higher up than a lot of the other singers that are on the show right now.

Not to start another debate here, but more than Yashraj, it was Asit who was getting on my nerves. GOOD LOOKING? ... excuse me? From what angle exactly? Thank God he's out. Bad singing + bad attitude = bye bye.

Now folks calm down and stop giving Yashraj unnecessary publicity. I hope you realize that by bashing him and criticizing him you have created even more fans than he had before. So kudos to all of you guys ...

.........yashraj's improper conduct/arrogance cannot be equated with self esteem n humbleness of Meghna...nor with the cuteness of Tia ...its not Megana's/Tia's problem...they have what they have... if people r becomimg his fans based on his ill conduct/arrogance..its their problem.....

Meghna's humility and Tia's cuteness can very well be equated with Yashraj's personality because these are all factors OTHER than singing. Presently, the goal of the show is to narrow it down the BEST singers. Whether you like it or not, Yashraj is one of the better singers of the lot. And we are looking for good singers. Once we're down to all wonderful singers --- then you may judge on other things aside from singing. Then, in fact, we all need to judge on other terms such as personality, humility, attitude, good looks, etc in order to determine what qualities will make a good Idol. But this far in the competition, we are not at a point that we can let go of good singers simply because they are what we deem to be arrogant. Credit is due where its deserved - Yashraj has been doing fairly better than a lot of the singers on the show. His voice has a playback quality, its unique, and its marketable.

You mention that Yashraj has behaved inappropriately, care to explain when he behaved improperly? I don't remember any such instance on the show!

Point is, if you don't like Yashraj, don't vote for him. What's the point of these long discussions and debates that are leading to bashing?

@*Woh Ajnabee: well said :) I 100% agree w/u.
Jezz guys for the last time like music_l0ver said Indian Idol is all abt singing....
It's not like a personality idol or smthg. It it had been then Ravinder Ravi would have won II-1 instead of Abhijeet Sawant. I'm not saying Abhijeet didn't have bad personality or anything he is well-behvaed and polite but Ravinder was more polite and had a good personality wheras singing wise he was really weak.

I also want to say that the winner of season 3 was Prashant , I think no one in II is so polite and humble like him....those who are talking about attitude, humbleness etc....sould think that ,was Prashant a deserving Idol or people who are dedicated to singing would treat him as an Idol of theirs? There are so many big names in the world who are the Idols of millions of people but if you look at histories of those people then you will find that at some points they are not upto the mark naturewise , so should people stop themselves to regard those people as their Idols? This is my point of view only....
