There is a difference between overconfidence and a being too frank, or in other words, being too outspoken. Being outspoken is good as in what Arvind did, he spoke out his mind, if he said that no the other guy should win, then he would be obviously lying. Now would that be good? Lying to the judges is not beneficial in any way, because they sketch out a character of you,and you want that to be good.
Qazi Taquir was too overconfident and sure of himself. Loom what happens to people like that. I don't think he is even known in the singing industry, some people in this very thread have failed to recognize him. He won purely because of votes, and nothing else.

^^^^ most reality show winners won because of regionalism and votes....Most reality winners are not successful only few have made it...so Qazi ain't any different...
And there is a difference between confident and cocky...
Arvind is some loose cannon....over confident-cocky boy....
I have no problem with him saying that he wants to be II and can be...FIne with that...But his other actions annoy the heck out of MOI...
Qazi was one humble dude...Never acted over confident IMHO....
Debu did u watch Waar Pariwaar on sony last yr???? I have...

Qazi was one humble dude...Never acted over confident IMHO.... Are you joking? He was too sure that he was going to win. Unfortunately, there aren't any fame Gurukul videos on Youtube, else I'd have shown it to you.
Debu did u watch Waar Pariwaar on sony last yr???? I have... Nope.

Sorry to hear u were Rex supporter...Rex played pretty good game and got caught in his own over confident game and lost....Although he was pretty good singer...Won't deny that..
FG was a whole different singing show altogether...😳

I know, FG was a mixture of Big Boss and Indian Idol...but if I'm not wrong, wasn't the first season of II like that too, with them showing the lives of contestants everyday and the daily happenings?
Yes, Rex wasn't over confident but regionalism did the trick😡

It might surprise you, but regionalism wasn't the biggest factor in Qazi's win. Qazi's biggest supporter was a middle-aged housewife from MP who was neither Kashmiri nor Muslim. She had racked up bills of lakhs smsing for him. The biggest reason Qazi got the popular vote was because of the way he was treated by everyone in the FG house including the teachers. He knew he was in, not because of his talent but because of his popularity among the masses, and he was constantly reminded of it by the judges, anchors and contestants.
