Actually SRGMP always had a proper winner. Even if they are not my favourites all the time but at least they can actually sing. In SRGMP there are usually no horrible singers by the end and it all comes down to personal opinion...like whose voice and style we like better. But in II, singers who can't even sing properly in tune make it to the finals (and win).

Even Sourbhee will not stand a chance in SRGMP, she will not even make to top 10. I think Mitika and Naina were way better than Sourbhee and Torsha and they were eliminated early one. None would stand a chance against Vaishali, Soumen, Yashita and Pratibha.

I used to lool forward to Mitika, Vaishali and Pritibha's singing and listen to their music again and again especially Vaishali's....I have not done this with Indian idols singers..many times I fast forward when they are singing.

that show was a farce to put down SRGMP as it was aired on Star Plus. the eliminations were done by public voting and we have all seen the wonders of that. that show only had contestants of the SRGMP05 seaason and did not have the 2 best singers of that series (Nihira and Hemachandra). Vineet had the highest average score from judges and Debojit was much much better than Harshit. The most besura singers in that show came from Idol (Ravinder Ravi, Amit Tandon and Neha Kakkar).

other names include amit paul, amey date, not my favs but considered real good singers, have a listen to them

not many people competed in ustadon ka ustaad, and the judges were saroj khan, javed akhtar and shekar suman, which i dun think are adequate judges for singing.

People that have shined through reality shows are: rahul vaidya, abhijeet sawant, Prajakta shukre, monali thakkar all from Indian Idol apart from that Ishmeet singh or toshi who got a break recently, no one else has got no recognition wat so eva!

oh trust me I have had a listen to them. other than Karunya, none are that great when compared to the likes of Nihira, Hemachandra, Vineet, Debojit, Amanat, Raja, Aneek, Poonam etc.
