Indian Idol 14 - Performance Discussion (16&17 Dec'23)

I am first for once? I'm so used to being late that this is a puzzling feeling. I hope everyone is doing okay.

As for the show, Saturday's episode, performance wise, was mostly very good. I had a long day and wasn't in the mood for all the talking stuff (I rarely am to be honest) so I skipped half this episode. So my thoughts are mostly just about the songs.

Anjana being first meant I could skip most of the first ten minutes. Kumar Sanu was very good though.

Aditya was a great reminder of just how good Hussain is as a host. I miss him already.

Obom was excellent. I said last Sunday that the people who struggled during the Mukesh episode would bounce back this week. Obom did that.

Pawandeep is the only one who showed up in the video of Obom's song that I care at all about.

Utkarsh always does a good job. Vishal is right, he tries all sort of things and does well with all of them. He should be viewed as a contender.

I usually have nothing to say about Subhodeep episodes, but he really brought it in this episode.

Menuka is the best. She tried something new and killed it, so the people who wanted her to not sing the same types of slow songs can sit back down now.

Muskaan got one short song. No intro, nothing, which was kind of sad. I hope she's not on the chopping block.

I can't wait for Sunday's episode. The preview looked promising and Mahima Choudhry will always be a favorite of mine.

I am really surprised that there has not been a duet round yet this season.

Today show was really good!

I really enjoyed everyone's performances; especially, Menuka, Muskaan, Utkarsh and Subhodeep. These contenders get vote and were highlight for me.

I usually don't enjoy Anjana's performances, but in today's episode, she was very good.

It was really nice to see all three judges together once again, but Hussain was missed!

Me too because by now we have had duet in other season but here we haven’t had one duet yet.

My top three performers of yesterday episode were Menuka, Muskaan, and Utkarsh too. Loved their performances.

Obom, Shubhadeep and Anjana were good too.

Also I really missed Hussain its not that Aditya is bad at hosting but I love Hussain Hosting more his Ganda jokes are entertaining too. The camaraderie he has with Kumar Sanu missed all that.

I missed Hussain so much.

Subhadeep, Utkarsh and Menuka were too 3 for me yesterday.

Obom was good too. Muskaan hardly sang 2-3 lines of the song.

Anjana was okay but I personally don’t like her singing. May be I’m biased but I don’t care.

Just got done with today’s episode and it was truly one of the best episodes yet.

Other than Dipan, I absolutely loved everyone’s performance.

Special mention to Piyush and Vaibhav.

I absolutely adored seeing Mahima Chaudhry!

And Subhash Ghai… what a brilliant film maker.
