Surinder - he’s my least fave of the lot but he did a great job with the song he had.

Shubhadeep - another great performance! I hadn’t heard the first song ever, but he sounded great. The second song was great as well! (I have not heard that one either lol)

I loved the commentary that Shreya and Shekhar were giving when they were discussing that Raag it was cute. The song that he sang was amazing! Idk if it’s an original composition or it was done before but it was amazing I want to download it.

Anjana - I know the forum isn’t much of a fan of hers but she’s one of my faves and she did a great job and was having too much fun with the performance which elevated it for me. And it was probably scripted but I LOVED the way Shekhar recognized her it was so cute!

Adya - she had a great performance last week but something was off again this week. Maybe her voice doesn’t suit this song. Idk if she’s going soon because she’s viral in a lot of reels (her and Menuka are the ones I see all the time) I do anticipate her being like Neha Kakar in the future where she won’t win the show but she will have a career just due to her unique voice .

I’ve noticed they’ve upped the sob stories lately. Last week they had Vaibhav talk about his mom and now Adya and her brother.

Utkarsh - Aye Mere Humsafar is one of my fave songs and he did such a splendid job! I didn’t know which the second song was but it sounded amazing I had to download it right after I heard it.


Ananya - my fave performance of the episode she did an awesome job! The scale was a little slower from the original song in Gazab Ka Hai but she did a great job. Even Akele Hai she sang splendidly. Shreya’s right that she has a very crystal clear voice.

Mahima - not her best performance IMO after that Jeena Yahan performance it’s hard for her to top it

About sob stories I would prefer this over fake love angle. I think so far Shubhadeep, Menuka, Piyush, Utkarsh, Anjana and Dipan doesn’t have any sob stories. They do bring topic of Dipan girlfriend but that’s it and talking about his girlfriend that phone call wala suprise preplaned tha ki nahi but he looked so cute when Shreya told him to close his eyes and I guess was expecting but when he open his eyes she wasn’t there poor guy. Also thank god they didn’t continue Utkarsh ka khana bananewala content beside yesterday little bit with Menuka. When Diwali episode happened I though they would make him say I have made a mithdai since today is Diwali like how they did in theatre round but when it didn’t happen I was like thankgod nahi hua.

I had another busy weekend so I just watched the Saturday episode today. Maybe it's because I'm tired, but I wasn't really feeling it like I was hoping to.

Surendar tried his best with a song that is 100% not his style. I thought he did a mostly good job. He took a song that I find annoying and made it tolerable.

Subhadeep was the same as usual. The jam session was cool though.

Anjana almost makes me miss Shanmu-just kidding. I did forward her performance within 10 seconds though.

Adhya's performance was just weird. It's a shame because there's multiple people on the show (Muskaan, Ananya) who would've done full justice to Channe Ke Keth Mein. Her performance sounded like a weird, slowed down reverb that you see people post on Youtube all the time that get like 10k views. It wasn't bad, but it was a waste of the song. I skipped the aftermath so I have no idea who the guy next to her was.

Utkarsh was very good. His first song was not his best, but still very good. I loved his second though. Sangeet has such a good and underrated soundtrack, especially for a 30 year old movie. Sun To Hasina (which Sawai sang last year during Jackie Shroff's episode) is my favorite song from the movie, but O Rabba is a gem that is revered more by people. Utkarsh's performance of that song was so sweetly sung and started the upswing that this episode needed.

Shreya playing off Utkarsh's performance was sensory overload. How is her voice still so effortlessly sweet?

Ananya is cementing herself as one of my favorites. I don't think she has any chance of winning, and I have doubts she can even make the finale. I would love if she did make it to the finals though. She has such a pure and easy to listen to voice. She's had better performances but this was still a really nice showing.

Mahima deserves the praise she got.

The stories by Anand-Milind were fun to listen to. The stories are one of my favorite things about episodes for former singers/music directors.

Kumar Sanu was sorely missed in this episode.

I'm glad they all sang the Maa song together in the end. It's a timeless classic and deserved to close the show.

I'm excited for Sunday's episode. I'll have to wait until Tuesday night to watch it, but the preview looked great. Menuka, Piyush, Muskan trying something new and Pan Banaras all one one show sounds like my kind of episode.

Anandji episode was exceptional. Stellar from start to end.

It took less than a minute for the show to be better than Saturday's episode. Shreya singing a classic song to start the episode? What a soothing medicine for the ears.

I'm very intrigued by Muskaan's transformation. There are several singers on the show with sweet voices. Menuka is in a class of her own in that realm. If Muskaan wants to have a chance to reach the top, she needed to take a risk. I am a fan of her choice.

Piyush is one of my favorites. Once again he showed that when he's at his best, he is a top contender.

That moment between Anandji and his wife during Piyush's performance was so cute!

Dipan, man. I feel like I'm higher on him than most but this was a timeless performance. O Saathi Re is an all time iconic track that will always live on. Him getting to sing this song on this stage, in front of Anandji is a memory he will never forget. No matter how long he stays on this show, this performance will stay on my favorites list forever.

Dipan was so good that his second song deserves its own line. Switching from O Saathi Re to Rafta Rafta Dekho is jarring as a listener, so imagine having to do that as a singer. The discipline to do that and do it so seamlessly is a gift. He covered two opposite spectrums of music and did great on both. And then the final verse of O Saathi Re? This whole 15 minute period was music show history. He won't win the show, but he became a made singer in this episode.

For the millionth time, Menuka proved that she is playback ready and I need new music from her immediately.

Paan Banaras is my mom's favorite song. Back in the 80s she attended a Kishore concert and got to request him to sing the song live. She still brings it up all the time and it's always a fun story to listen to. Vaibhav's performance reminded me of that story. But I liked his second performance better.

Obom was fantastic. His first song was very good but singing Neele Neele Ambar Par takes a lot of effort and determination. There are countless covers of that song so if you want to stick out, you have to maintain the essence of the song while adding your own sizzle to it. He killed it. I think it's safe to say this was his best performance til date. I'm rooting for him to make it big.

Obom and Shreya's song very pleasant to listen to. If they redid it in a studio it would be single worthy.

The medley was very nice. It's not possible to put every Kalyanji–Anandji classic on a single episode or single weekend of episodes, so it was needed and done very well.

The ending with Shreya and Shekhar was such a sweet touch. You can tell they have a sibling type bond and their performance was good.

Last note, this was probably the best Kalyanji–Anandji based episode of any show I've seen to date. Anandji shows up on every singing show every year. He's usually a lot of fun, but if the show is not produced well, the episode can derail. This episode was perfect. Every performance was great. Shreya and Shekhar did a great job keeping things together. Anandji was more even-keel than usual but you still got stories and humor from him. The production value of the show was perfect. I have zero complaints about the episode. Unlike the previous day's episode, I would change nothing. Even Kumar Sanu's absence wasn't felt, which it usually is for me. It was a 10 out of 10 in every sense.

Adya did last weekend but this weekend again she was back to like before. To me her’s was the weakest performance of Saturday episode. Still judges and guest judges praise her and Shekhar and both the music composer duo offer her song. Everything is good beside judges not pointing flaws not just her but everyone even if they do they don’t show properly in episode telecast.
