My top picks are : Sonakshi, Debos, Shivam.

Didn't like Chirag-Kavya.

Suraj Barjatya, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Boman Irani.

A refreshing change to see the visuals of the songs. Courtesy Rajshri, of course.

Senjuti. Kaun Disa se. TBH I have never heard this song before, so I have no reference point. On a standalone basis she sang well. Really well. Her voice is not to my liking but I can see technically she was good. 2nd song was Yeh Mausam Ka Jaadu Hai Mitwa. Well, not as good as the first one.

Bidipta. Kabootar Ja Ja Ja and Maai Ni Maai. Well, as Bertie Wooster would say, the scales have fallen from my eyes! Really didn't like today's performance.

Anushka. Didi Tera Dewar Deewana, and Wah Wah Raamji. Well, I really would like Sony and TCT to focus on the singing rather than costumes and drama. Coming to the singing. She was good but that drama and costumes were too distracting for me to get a feel. I think she deserves better. They are doing the same unfairness to her as they did to Rohan.

Shivam and Sonakshi. Aaja Shaam Hone Aayi and Aaya Mausam Dosti Kaa. I felt Shivam overshadowed Sonakshi in that. I admit the possibility that I like Shivam's voice more than Sonakshi's.

Chirag. Gori Tera Gaaon. Surprisingly good! I would have loved to hear more. 2nd song was a song I haven't heard before so again I have no reference point. But he sang well.

Vineet. Chaahunga Main Tujhe. No surprises, he was excellent right from the first syllable. All the guests and HR were in tears. MBD given.

Kavya. I haven't heard the song Prem Deewani before. And still I felt she wasn't good.

Sanchari. Well, it is difficult to capture the 'softness' that SPB and Lata Mangeshkar can manage. But it is extremely easy to overdo it. And that is what Sanchari did. Overdo. Well and truly cooked!

Performance of the week went to Shivam and Sonakshi.

Asides:

Yesterday's performer got to sing again today. Well, Sony and TCT.

Inspiring story of Anupam Kher and his facial paralysis episode. Impressive professional commitment.

Antakshari. Bidipta sang those two lines well. Chirag was okay-ish. Kavya was bad. Senjuti did okay, Rishi slightly better. Shivam good. Vineet good. Debosmita good, probably best in that segment. Rupam was bad. Rishi and Sonakshi werr decent but not great. Barjatya was absolutely right - the musicians won 😄

Boman Irani sang Give Me Some Sunshine. I have to say he should have won performance of the week for that! Seriously?

vineets performance song was not related to the theme right?🤔

Sunday Episode -

I think the song selection could have been even better. Few beautiful Rajshri songs were not sung.

As @PV_IFhandle said, it was good to see the visuals along with the performances.

Today's best performance was definitely Vineet. He sings Mohd Rafi/Sonu Nigam songs very well.

Chirag, Senjuti, Shivam-Sonakshi, Anushka were good.

Bidipta, Kavya, Sanchari decent.

Star of the week - Definitely Shivam.

Some interesting anecdotes were shared by the guests.

Antakshari well recreated. Thankfully HR & Neha didn't sing much.

Sooraj Ji seems to be such a humble person.

Yes film Dosti from Rajshri Productions. Super duper hit - not just film but songs also. Even musicians Laxmikant-Pyarelal got more noticed.

Considered a tear jerk movie in those days. No dry eyes in theatres.

Just started watching half way to the song Senjuti singing Kaun Disha. Sorry she didn’t do any justice not only to this song but also the second one. She was struggling in first song.

Not just Sooraji but entire Barjatya family are down to earth. Best production house to work with in both films and tv shows. Shame they haven’t come up with another tv show. Last one was in 2020,

Their earlier tv shows have been hits.

Nov 6, Rajshree special

Senjuthi :- the first song couldve been different , but liked Ye Mausam from HAHK. Very well rendered.

Bidipta :- kabootar & maayi ni maayi. Okayish.

Anushka :- Didi tera & wah wah. Decent, but we know she is capable of a better performance.

Shivam & Sona :- aaja shaam & aaya mausam. Shivam is steadily growing & I am thoroughly enjoying him. Today he sang with the ease & fervour of SPB sir; did full justice to the songs. 👍

Chirag :- He was better than yesterday. The song suited his voice.

Vineet :- That was a mind blowing one - a typical vineet song. 👌. Absolutely flawless & as pointed out by Boman he sang from his soul. Vineet should bow out of the contest. Being a vineet fan, I know he will ace it every time & I also know it isn’t fair to the others. If he wins, I will have reservations, if he loses I will feel bad too. He is putting his fans in a quandary 🤔

Kavya :- a less popular number; Just passed muster.

Sanchari :- just 2 words … didn’t enjoy,

Asides…

* Antakshri overall didn’t have the desired impact since they just recreated the MPK one. And the performances did nothing to liven it up.

* Overall an episode low on drama, high on anecdotes, delightful guests, good music - wish I could also add ‘ great performances’… Shivam & Vineet ( of course) ruled the episode.

* TCT is back to playing the Random Game. A duet here, some solos there, some repeat performers of the week…. heck who wants to conform??😳.

* And finally….Thank God for small mercies…. the judges turned wise & refrained from paying a Rajshri tribute. 🙏. I was bracing myself for a neha attack & an ‘aap ka suroor’ makeover of Geet Gaata Chal. Bach gaye. Suraj B left with his sanity & sukoon intact … and so did I 🤣
