Since the show is about to end (July I heard??), lets see what themes and guests have they missed out so far:

Mohd Rafi special

Shankar Jaikishan special

Hemant Kumar/Madan Mohan special

Tribute to Geeta and Guru Dutt

SP Balasubramanium Tribute/Wajid Tribute

Now from the ones who are amongst us:

Jatin-Lalit Special

Anand-Milind Special along with a Tribute to their father, Chitagupta (merge the two)

Viju Shah Special

Calling singers like Sadhana Sargam, Poornima, Vinod Rathod, Kavita Krishnamurthy

And while Vanraj Bhatia did not do a lot of films, there can be a short Tribute to him too, a medley of his songs.

Or may be Pritam Chakraborty from current era? (As Ajay Atul special happened few weeks ago)

What happened to Jatin-Lalit? They were superb!!! Why did they discontinue as Music Director Jodi?

Vishal and Rekha Bharadwaj also would be great. I think they came in earlier season

They should call Pritam and do a video from Emraan Hashmi..they were the best actor-music director jodi of the 2000s!

Ilayaraja is a genius and a legend, and I am sure the contestants will have a very hard time with his songs 😆 Bollywood's loss that they didn't work with him much.

J-L spilt after Fanaa, seems like it was a personal problem, maybe something to do with their families. Lalit Pandit did do a few films after that. Jatin's son Raahul is trying to get into music now and has released a couple of songs on YouTube. Jatin Pandit has also released some songs on YouTube and they live in Los Angeles. 😆

I am pretty aware of every 90s composer and what they're upto today, looked up interviews and fan pages. I can tell u about everyone so this is all genuine info 😆

OP Nayyar, C Ramchandra, Khayyam, Ravindra Jain have a lot of songs too, with no repetition.

They can actually call Usha Khanna on the show, she wasn't the first female music director, but a major name during a time when males dominated the field.

I would prefer a Mukesh special over an RK Special. Nothing against Raj Kapoor but we never see dance shows or talent shows commemorating music legends, so why shouldn't a music show focus on music industry specially? Its only fair!

Salim-Sulaiman along with Pritam are two who have given some really nice songs.

Do the masses know lots of Sachin-Jigar songs or is it restricted to the youth?

@bold: they are actually doing this?! I mean, it should've been aired by now so I get the feeling its rightfully scrapped!
