I was hoping for musical guests, coz I really thought the channel had started getting things right after going thru I-F...looks like they are still obsessed with actors 😆

I don't understand why they always call the guests from old Era like 70s 80s or 90s

Why don't they let them sing some recent songs of Shreya, Sunidhi, Arijit, Sonu etc

I mean yes they have sung some songs of them but most of the songs are from 70s 80s or 90s and those also repeated

What songs of Arijit would connect through all generations?

Dont forget the TV watching demographic is mainly in their 30s to senior citizens.

They have to get hold of celebs whose songs the audience members can connect to.

For example they got Anandji Bhai yesterday. Now who isn't aware of his songs? Kids have heard and danced on it, teenagers and young adults are even requesting these songs in parties, the older group relives their youth days. Its a win-win for everyone.

The truth is the music group post 2000s got so modern that they forgot the older generation, with the exception of few composers.

Unlike the 90s group of music directors. Even the grandparents today know about Dil, Aashiqui, QSQT, in fact they are major fans although Nadeem-Shravan, Anand-Milind etc debuted way past the said group's prime years.

In fact my friend's grandma once complained when Arijit was singing on Mirchi Music Awards and her words were literally "Ye ro kyu raha hai? Hum toh Rafi-Kishore aur baad mein Udit-Sanu ko sunnte they. Pata nahi aaj kal ke bachon ko kya kya pasand aata hai." And she is right man, he does cry-drone-sing.

Lack of connectivity and inclusivity post 2000s. U and I might enjoy a newer album but majority demographic won't. They don't understand those songs and I cannot blame them.

Yeah those crack me up 🤣

But he is the go-to for bhajans, I have listened to so many singers but his voice has got something...despite his off screen image bhajans sound amazing in his voice 😳

I agree...even i love those songs more than recent songs

But the problem is they keep repeating the songs...there are lots of songs in 80s or 90s but we get to hear only few songs repeatedly

There are so many songs from that Era i would love to hear on idol
