Ajay atul are friends of Vishal. Their hyping of SMP to me is to support Vishal’s choice I.e SMP. Just my feeling

SMP needs to be eliminated. Vishal specially is overdoing his praises for her. She has good skills in one kind of singing, not denying, but please someone tell her she needs to go VERSATILE or get eliminated. Most annoying contestant, not just her singing but her body language also.

Really happy for Sawai doing so good now. He was very good.

I saw in promo that Pavan sang asmaan hai neela kyon on druma, but in the telecast did they cut that part off, and only showed "Tum ho to" part. Because the video I saw of the episode had the trailing bits of the first song and then he went on to sing "tum ho to".

Great episode today. The best part about the episode besides some of the performances was that Ajay/Atul actually gave very constructive feedback to some of the contestants, and I wish this was done in every episode.

Best performers for me were:

Danish - his performance was amazing! He makes every song given to him great! He totally deserves to win.
Seerisha - she sang great! The choices of songs given to her were good, and she nailed them. Loved her confidence too!

The performances I did not like are: SMP(worst), Ashish, Pawandeep and Sawai - he sang good but I am not a big fan of his voice and singing.

Today’s episode was quite enjoyable. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed an episode as much after the Kumar Sanu - Alka Yagnik - Udit Narayan episode.

Also, some of today’s performers are singing tomorrow but not all. Why this bias? Either all sing both days, or all sing just once a week.
I actually liked Ajay and Atul as guests, they gave some good feedback, and they seemed quite modest

I can’t understand why They don’t let all of them sing solo first then if there is time do duets or group performance

It would be very difficult to give points like this.

Also when perform duets if one is better than the other it either inflates the talent or bring down the entire performance

Ajay atul kept glancing towards Vishal during the performance so I don’t know much about their individual opinion not being clouded by judges.
Vishal must have recommended SMP either bec she is really superb in this genre of music , which is right down his alley, or the public votes are Low for her and the judges are saving her all the time. This way they are telling the audience see these composers also think she is fantastic and a rare find that they call her to studio etc. They are trying to justify her talent.

- I somewhat liked Ashish for a change. Usually I don't like his performances, and when the music for Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin started playing, I was so nervous that he'd butcher one of my favorite songs. But it wasn't bad. I didn't like Zingaat as much though. Again, very specific advice full of nuance from Ajay. Loved that! 😄😁

- SMP, what do I say about her? OMG. I'm still cleansing my soul by listening to the original Roop Tera Mastana on loop as I type this. Kishore Kumar, please heal my ears. 🤒 Her singing was just painful. How do these musicians actually like her? Even in the studio, her yodeling was so awful I had to physically cover my ears. Why is she so hyped? Okay, fine. They like her yodeling. I guess that's a matter of opinion. I can live with that. But how did Ajay walk up on stage and call her versatile? She's the least versatile of them all! Show me one song she has sung on the show without her antics; one soft melody, one song with thehrav. Anyone? No? Then how is she versatile?? I forwarded the rest of the judge's comments, but I think I saw Vishal actually touch her feet. Did that really happen? Like, are you serious? Do you not have any self-respect for yourself as an almost 50 year old musician? 😳 I'm all for appreciating and learning from younger talent, but touching their feet? Isn't that a little too much? And of course, she got Mausam badal diya (MBD). Why am I not surprised? 🙄 The only good comment about her performance was that Ajay gave a shoutout to the saxophone player.

- Sawai really made a comeback today, didn't he? He finally got appreciation for his dholak playing skills too! Thank you Ajay-Atul! You're doing the job that the judges are supposed to. He even got appreciated for how high he could sing. I didn't like his alaaps much though; it sounded like screaming more than singing. Nevertheless, his confidence got a much needed boost from the Govinda episode. And he got MBD! Was this his first? If so, nice job! 👏🏻

- Danish, as always, stole the show. He is aptly rated; he actually deserves the hype he gets. Lol, Ajay actually took out his phone to check how many high notes he was hitting. Is there some undeclared contest about who can sing the highest? 😂 Nevertheless, I think he does alaaps well. They don't hurt my ears. Very well deserved MBD. He should make it to finale as well, and seeing the judge's reactions, I think he will. Side note: How did Neha get emotional to a song like Deva Shree Ganesha? I get that it's a spiritual experience, and you can get goosebumps, but crying?? 🤨😕

Only thing is, can these judges stop with the Pawandeep and Arunita shipping??!! Especially Neha!! 😡 There was no need to bring in Arunita's name when Himesh was talking about Pawandeep after his solo performance. And even Himesh joined in by saying there was something burning by her. Poor girl actually thought something was on fire. Leave her alone man! Can't they see how uncomfortable she is? And she's not even an adult yet! Ughh. 😠😡

- The Qawali was a very enjoyable performance, but I still don't know why it was there. They could have done away with this and instead let Pawandeep and Arunita sing solo. Or even better, give Sayli or Anjali the chance to perform. Does this mean Sayli, Anjali, and Nihal will perform once this weekend while others (Danish, Arunita, etc.) will perform twice or even thrice? Where is the consistency?? 🤔 Regardless, giving credit where it is due. Danish and Ashish pretty much sang the qawwali (and very well at that). But I couldn't even hear Sawai. However, he ended the performance with a bang, and another shoutout to Ajay for giving him the spotlight! Still on the fence about whether I like Sawai's alaaps, but at least he got some encouragement and confidence boost. Also, the three of them got MBD. But I thought this was a non-competitive performance. So why the MBD? If this was a competitive performance, then isn't that unfair to the rest of the contestants? What's going on Sony TV? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ajay-Atul were literally doing what the judges are supposed to do 😆 As of now, only them and Pyareji have given constructive criticism. Thats why I say proper music directors are important because that's how these shows are supposed to work. Lovely honestly. 👏

I didn't enjoy Ashish performance, that's the only one place I'd disagree with you. It was too Westernised and lacked the emotions needed for Abhi Mujhmein Kahin: pst contestants have sung this song much better. Looks like he only emulates ARR's style which is not universally appealing and neither does it sit in all genres. As of now, his overall performing technicalities are the weakest...Ashish has lived his entire life in Pune, that's a cosmopolitan city. If the likes of Anjali, Sayli can pronounce the phonetics well he shouldn't be having a problem.

SMP toh I an only say 🤬 I always say we learn something new everyday and I did learn from her: how to do mother-sister of a song. 🤣 I was in the bathroom so missed around 50% of her performance. When I returned to the living room my father was literally like 'come come, I am waiting for your expertise' and he had the most pissed expression while hearing her like wtf 🤣 Vishal and Neha seriously need to calm tf down. What was with the head touching aashirwad and giving positive energy?? Are they so desperate for money that they'll lose their self respect? Especially Vishal, I have lost so much respect for him. Normally I never liked his off screen persona because of his viewpoints when it came to politics and India but now toh I am so bloody put off. Now toh I am sure all the guests are told to hype her on purpose otherwise u think musically sound people like Pyareji and Ajay-Atul would hype her? Himesh, like I always said, doesn't seem to love her voice and fakes his enthu. Even yesterday he was still reserved compared to the other crackpots.

Sawai really rocked it. Loved that he got to display his skills well and of course he must've gotten a boost due to Ajay-Atul's comments. I did not mind his alaaps though, his voice is much better and in control compared to Salman (who would overdo everything...there were times I would forget the song because of the number of jagahs and alaaps he would take 😆)

During Danish's performance I screamed when Ajay got out his phone to check the notes! It was the sign of a true musician! And this actually something I do regularly so the relatability factor was so high for me 😆 Idk if Neha was genuinely emotional this time or not but such devotional songs end up connecting u to the respected bhagwan...it does heighten our emotions. Like I cry all the time when they sing some bhajan or aarti. The more u connect, the more u end up feeling and when u get overwhelmed u cry 😊

I swear I got so pissed at the Pawandeep-Arunita shipping. And can't they see she is so uncomfortable? Even in the Govinda special she literally turned her body away from Pawandeep while he was trying to play along with the script. Urgh its terrible man. 😡 And why are they trying to make PD some sort of check magnet? The judges' comments really baffle me.

I think the Qawalli was done because both Danish and Sawai could do justice to it...and Ashish was added only because he is a favourite. Although he did perform much better in the trio. The MBD was only to show how great their performance was, I doubt it counts at all. I loved again how Ajay was encouraging Sawai, unlike the judges.

Another point I want to add is I am fed up of Vishaal saying things like "Hindu is singing Shah Ka Rudhba and Muslim is singing Deva Shree Ganesha...ohoho Unity Unity Unity." Like enough with ur political agendas. We know u hate BJP but stop bringing it on the reality show. Music has no religion so stop dividing it. The contestants have shown our culture and liberty when Danish wore the Ganesh bhagwan locket, Sawai sang Shah Ka Rutba and when the two together sang the Maata Raani bhajan. They are musicians and no matter what their faith, music is always their spiritual connection, no matter who's name they are singing. Vishal's comments are really getting on my nerves regarding this.

They have been dropping hints for quite sometime now. Anjali, Sayili and even Nihal all are getting step motherly treatment and from past I recall, that does not spell good for the contestants. They are on the process of being eliminated. So unfair that others got to sing two, three and some even 5 songs while those left are reduced to chorus. The only justification perhaps is that since they are not eliminating one contestant per week, they have to do this way. Presumably they would have been long gone if that rule is reinstated.

Indian idol is seriously getting confusing for us viewers. I mean,either I understand that there is clear bias or there is something missing from creatives. Some contestants sing solo, some pair , some triple and some don’t get even a chance. Judges are clearly not motivating sireesha enough. She has been so versatile..... she manages to sing and match everyone’s styles. I liked her performance today too. Ashish is versatile as well, in my opinion. He didn’t start abhi mujhmein too well but i thought he caught up later pretty well. SMP is clearly channels favorite as a winner and they have made it way too obvious . She gets to choose a song of not the guests ... she also gets to have special visits . I like her and she can rock the stage if you happen to be live-audience. But I see unfair treatment to other contestants of same age group doing well too and that’s what puts me off. Also, she is kind of repetitive now. Danish is amazing .... he is a complete package and has surprised me the most . He is versatile, confident yet humble. I am loving him with each passing week. Pawandeep and Arunita both are wonderful but I don’t get why they didn’t get solo performance today. Arunita was always awesome,but it took a call from a legend to one ofthe judges for her to get her deserved appreciation. Pawandeep had been very consistent and doing so well since the start but something is amiss since last 3-4 weeks. I have observed he sings really well when he is accompanied by a musical instrument. Sawai has a style and he excels in his genre . Nachiket has a sweet voice. The song suited his voice and he nailed it . Others didn’t get a chance :(

I liked the epi ! Ajay-Atul were superb as guests... I prefer musically inclined people than actors to visit as guests. It’s tough to say at this stage who will win or who I would like to win.

Arunita was so good OMG OMG !! She needs to win the show ASAP !!!

@Bold: Out of all the performances, I would rank Ashish among the lowest for this episode (above SMP though 😅). When I said he wasn't bad, I meant he wasn't as bad as he had been in other songs. I had actually braced myself for an utter butchering of the song, but it wasn't as bad as I had imagined. Definitely did not do justice to it though. You're right, many past contestants have sung it better. I was hoping Nachiket would sing Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin or O Saiyaan. He would have done justice to both songs. I actually watched Ashish's performance again after everyone's comments, and I do see the hint of westernized accent. It just didn't occur to me as much when I saw the first time.

@Underline: Honestly, if they actually like her style of singing, that's okay with me. I can live with that. That's a matter of preference. But the amount of compliments she is getting is blown way out of proportion. Someone needs to give her a reality check. Have these people never heard anyone yodel before? How does this blow their minds but not the classical music performances? Those are much harder and worth praise. And even then, shouldn't they be encouraging SMP to be more versatile? She needs to sing a soft slow song without any yodeling and such. Even in Season 10, Salman was told to change up the songs he chose and deliver a slower softer song with more thehrav. In fact, in one episode, it was Vishal who told him that the public wants to hear something different. Salman was already way better than SMP, so shouldn't he be giving the same advice to her as well? Chakkar hai kya is ladki ka? How in god's name is she the 8th wonder of the world? Is she related to some powerful politician? Does she have a powerful godfather or something? I'm at the end of my wits here. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦‍♀️

@Red: Here is where I would disagree. I prefer Salman over Sawai any day. Salman was definitely hyped too much at certain times, but he was still better than Sawai IMO. Salman took alaaps where not needed but his voice sounded better to me. In fact, just yesterday I saw his performances on Laal Ishq and Aayat, and seeing his (relative) versatility, I stand firm on this statement. Just a difference of opinion I guess.

@Blue: You're right about this. Even I get emotional on certain devotional songs, especially Krishna bhajans. But Neha has cried on so many songs so many times that she has no credibility in my eyes anymore.

@Green: I'm so fed up of Ashish and the preferential treatment he gets. For weeks, my parents and I have been predicting that he would leave next but it doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon. I'm holding onto hope until next weekend to see who gets eliminated and then decide if this show is even worth it. If Nihal or Ashish go, then I'll stay. But if Sayli, Sireesha, or Nachiket are in the bottom once again or if one of them gets eliminated, then god knows what I'll do.
