Nigaar Z Khan > Thank you for the compliment. My favourite colour is white. I love Indian food.

Mini > Hi Nigaar. Speaking of identity crisis, aren't you swamp with calls asking whether you are the same 'Nigar' who was deported to Norway? How have you handled it? Do you have any interesting anecdote to tell us?
Nigaar Z Khan > Even when she was in India there was this huge confusion on calls. That's why you can also say that I changed the spelling of my first name and made it 'Nigaar.' Now that she has gone I feel sad for her, but I am happy that people know (now) which "Nigaar" I am.

Ram > Do people know you as 'Sheetal' of (TV serial) Lipstick or as Nigaar?
Nigaar Z Khan > People know me as Nigaar who once played 'Sheetal' on TV.

Jkli > Which was the turning point in your life?
Nigaar Z Khan > doing Lipstick was the turning point in my life. It was the best platform any new comer could get (in acting).

Malathi581 > Have you signed on any movie?
Nigaar Z Khan > No dear, not interested yet.

Norma > Hey Nigaar, any plans of settling down?
Nigaar Z Khan > Would love to one day when I find my Mr. Right.

Jini > Why are you not interested in doing films? Is it because of the casting couch stories? Tell us honestly.
Nigaar Z Khan > I just think it's (film industry) a wild world and very different from the TV industry. I just don't think that I am ready to step in that world.

Anisha > Hey Nigaar. Tell us something about your family background?
Nigaar Z Khan > I have a huge family. We are five siblings in all and the family is very close knit. The best family in the world. We are four sisters and one brother.

Malathi581 > What are the other serials you are doing?
Nigaar Z Khan > Presently, I am doing a serial called Protima and another one is Ayushman .

Aamirnov20 > Basically you come from which state of India?
Nigaar Z Khan > Maharashtra. I am from Pune.

Anisha > What you do to keep yourself fit?
Nigaar Z Khan > Eating right because I don't get the time to workout. I try to eat lots of fruits and avoid oily and sweet stuff.

Raj > Let me know your D.O.B?
Nigaar Z Khan > 2nd of May, 1979.

Neerav_greatest > What are your future plans? Are you satisfied with your career/life?
Nigaar Z Khan > I am very satisfied. I think it's going in the right direction. I am not hurrying it up. I want to do good roles. I want work satisfaction along with being monetary satisfaction. I prefer to take each day as it comes.

Clod > Both you and your model sister Gauhar are immensely talented? Is it in your genes? How did you acquire so much talent?
Nigaar Z Khan > Thank you. I think it's been gifted from my parents. I wouldn't say (it is) genetically but their (parental) moral support and belief in us is so immense that we are god gifted.

Aamirnov20 > What type of serials do you like to do?
Nigaar Z Khan > Any serial that gives me a (good) role and satisfaction as an actress.

Neerav_greatest > Does the casting couch exist in the TV industry?
Nigaar Z Khan > No dear, I don't think the television industry is interested in anything besides talent and professionalism.

Raj > Oh! Well you are younger to me! So party is in store. Well dear, what are your hobbies?
Nigaar Z Khan > Glad to know Raj that I am younger than you. Well, my hobbies are reading and playing with my palm top.

Anisha > What is the essence of being an Indian woman?
Nigaar Z Khan > I think Indian women are full of ethics. Today they are growing and want to explore the outside world. No matter what they do in life, if they follow the right principles imbibed in them by their parents, they will always come back home with a proud soul.

Jigs > I have a partly dumb and a partly intelligent question for you-- but please don't mind and do answer it. What do you think you are- self-made or 'MAN' made and why?
Nigaar Z Khan > I am very much a self-made woman. Each rupee that I made is because of my own hard work. I earned my first rupee at the age of 16.

Neerav_greatest > If not a TV serial actress what would you be? What do you think about saas-bahu melodrama being shown on television?
Nigaar Z Khan > If not an actress I would like to be a successful housewife. As for the saas-bahu melodramas, till the time it is a hit with TV viewers, it runs.

Sunil > Which new serials are you going to be featured in the immediate future?
Nigaar Z Khan > Presently, I will not like to talk about that. I am a little superstitious about that so I would like my work to speak for it self when the right time comes.

Hemu.hemu > What is the most beautiful thing in this world according to you?
Nigaar Z Khan > For me, the most beautiful being in the world today is my niece. She is the new girl in our family.

Cassy > What is the secret of your dazzling smile and chiseled looks?
Nigaar Z Khan > Chiseled? Did I hear it right? No dear, I am quite chubby on my cheeks Hahhaha! A happy soul is the secret of my smile.

Mannie > Who is your dream man? Do you still have that big crush on Abhishek Bachchan?
Nigaar Z Khan > I wonder if god's made him (my dream man). I quite like Abhishek Bachchan. He will always be one of my favourites.

Naina > How did you react to Shobha De's recent criticism about you that you are a 'publicity gimmick queen'?
Nigaar Z Khan > I am sure she was talking about the other Negar (from Norway) because I don't think I will ever create that image.

Ryu > What's gonna happen next in your life any future plans?
Nigaar Z Khan > As I said earlier, I take each day as it comes. I have to yet achieve a lot as an actress. Presently I would like to concentrate on my work only.

Hemu.hemu > What is your dream in life?
Nigaar Z Khan > My dream would be that my life will be complete the day I give birth to my child.

Rek > Are you modelling still?
Nigaar Z Khan > No, I am not because acting takes up all my time.

Roma > Why do you keep such a low profile?
Nigaar Z Khan > Because I am a Taurean (zodiac sign) by birth. And it is the earth sign. I like to keep my feet well routed on the ground.

Sonal > You won Femina Look of the Year way back in 1998. What did you do after that? And why did you not get into TV right away?
Nigaar Z Khan > I was the finalists of Femina Look of the year, not the winner. I was a fashion model for three years after that. I think, everything happens as and when it's supposed to happen.

Hemu.hemu > How do you spend your free time?
Nigaar Z Khan > By sleeping, that's it!

Amisha > What are the qualities you want in your Mr. Right?
Nigaar Z Khan > I think that in any relationship the two things that I value the most is trust and understanding. The rest just falls in place.

Majestic > Hi, how does it feel to be praised by the great Zeenie "Zeenat Aman" who just adores your role in Lipstick . Any comments?
Nigaar Z Khan > I didn't know about this at all. You just made my day! I have no words to express how happy I am .

Hemu.hemu > Do you like partying with friends, going to picnics?
Nigaar Z Khan > I love partying with friends though I hardly get any time. I think, just being with friends is a party by itself.

Lili > Has it been a struggle to be an actress?
Nigaar Z Khan > I never thought I'd be an actress. I have not really struggled hard but definitely tried to learn a lot of things about acting. I think I was quite lucky to start with a project like Lipstick.

Mona > What's your role in Ayushman ?
Nigaar Z Khan > It's my first positive role on one of the popular channels. It's about this girl who didn't fulfill her responsibilities once because she was a very weak girl by nature. But after seven years, she comes back to her family realising that life was about striving and fulfilling ones responsibilities.

Rohan > Tell me, how is life after becoming a known face?
Nigaar Z Khan > For me, life was beautiful as a child, even in my college days and it is as beautiful now. Becoming a known face has not changed anything in my private life. For my family and friends I am the same Nigaar who came from Pune to Mumbai.
