he handed the flowers to beeji and said,"kya mein aaj apke in sundar haaton se bana khana kha sakta hun??
beeji stood transfixed,remembering that this was the same rude n arrogant boy who had come over for the kabbadi match..but everybody deserves a chance to change she realized.
"par puttar meine to sirf 2 logon ke liye khana banaya hai"
"koi baat nahi beeji,mein yeh dabba laya hoon na",he said pointing to the dabba in his hand,"yeh hum chandni ko khila denge"
chandni looked,with a stunned expression on his face,as adi sat down on the floor and started gorging on the alu parathas made for her.despite her shock,she said angrily,"yeh parathe,beeji ne mere liye banaye hain aur tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?????"
"ooh,chandni,mein tumse kahan tha na ki aaj mein free hoon"
"to?tum mujhse milne aagye"
"no,no,mein tumhari pyari,pyari beeji se milne aaya hoon"
"adi,tum aapne....
beeji interupped telling chandni"ghar aaye mahemaan se aase baat nahi karte",she gave a sly,all-knowing smile to adi and divided the parathas equally among them.
it was like a dream for him..it was like living somebody else's life...he had no idea how time had flown just talking to chandni,talking,fighting,samething
but now,it was time to go home.
but hewas happier than ever,she definately has some feelings for me,he thought as he passed her the dishes to be washed,he could tell from the smile she gave him,he could tell from the sparkle in her eye,he could tell from the way she kept arranging her curls,he could tell from the way she looked at him.
he walked outside the chall,into the night.the stars were glistening and the moon was hiding behing a cloud.he was unaware that beeji was watching him.she came forward n stood beside him."feelings shown to early are scary,feelings shown too late are misleading,wait for the right time"she said and walked away.
adi stood there,in the darkness,watching the trees and leaves.a strong wind came flying by, telling him what he had to do next.
