I have two theories about Imlie bland styling:

She will get properly dressed up only when she considers herself as wife of Surya in true senses. Before she became widow, she was so fascinated by what she calls as laali ,lipstick, powder. Now there is no source of happiness in her life so she is avoiding these things.

Second commercial reason could be low trps. Unless trp increases a bit, makers will do cost cutting on leads clothes kyonki unko pata leads ke scenes koi skip nahi karta so kaisa bhi style dedo ,people will watch their scenes.

Mujhe pehla hi reason lag raha hai..

Cos saree me kya hi budget jaaega.. Anyways they can reuse her blouses with plain sarees.. like they did with the white one today.. She had already worn this blouse 1-2 times I think.. Also hair-stylling isnt costly.. So I guess it's all about transitioning from her current indifferent nature to once she starts liking him or even accepting him as her husband..

Also this Imlie is a more mature women, as compared to the girl who went into the contract marriage with Auggy.. Hence that also is another reason, why they are giving her such dull anarkalis..

The alhad, uchalti-kudti, sajti-savarti, 70s ke gaane gaane wali Imlie, has been replaced by this other Imlie who's just living.. for some unfulfilled dreams and some promises she wants to keep..

Let's hope we get enough episodes to see a gradual & interesting transition of Surya painting her world again with bright colors... Filhaal toh lag raha hai, he has decided to play a sincere Mr. Husband..

Everyone will be happy to know we had a 20 minute long episode today

I quite enjoyed the episode. Surya and Imlie challenge each other to see who will apply color first on the other. Imlie and Surya running all around the house trying to put color on each other just like a happy, in-love newly married couple. Imlie ko itna hasta khelta dekh felt so nice. They even had Rang Barse played and both danced with Chacha and Chachi. I missed the Chaudhary fam, woh log hote aur maza aata.

Sai is such a cutie patootie yaar..,.. 2 left feet hai iske but he is so cute trying to dance on the song.

So Surya was about to put color on Imlie but she ducked and he ended up putting color on Anjali by mistake. Imlie took the opportunity to color Surya and won the challenge, she was so happy with the win. Anjali sadly got to know that Surya is married to Imlie and fainted.

I absolutely loved the conversation between Chachi and Imlie in the kitchen. She told Imlie how Surya won even when he lost the challenge coz he was able to put a smile on Imlie ka face. For once, I felt Imlie melting for Surya and his sincere efforts towards the relationship. She sadly saw Anjali hug Surya and left before she could see Surya asking Anjali to move on. I felt really bad for Anjali but could not take her seriously coz she kept saying Sunny boy instead of Surya even in such a serious confrontation. Kaan se khoon aa gaya mere Sunny boy sunke. He lied that he married Imlie with his consent and that she needs to move on in life. Malti was about to stop Anjali but Surya gave her a trashing, told her again that Imlie is not responsible for anything. It is his decisions - he wants to take Imlie ka responsibility fully.

Tayi asked Imlie and Surya to go give mithai to some old relatives (reminded me of similar scene of Agastya Imlie where Imlie went alone and was troubled by the goons). She confronted Surya about his reasons to marry her when he was in love with Anjali. He tried his best to not answer. He gets a call and gets shocked. I think Anjali ka accident hoga, woh itni jaldi toh nahi jaane wali.

Let me tell y'all, aaj Surya ne mere dil jeet lia. He did show he is the male lead of the show. He did not disappoint me once. He is fully committed to Imlie and the relationship and only wants to fulfill Agastya ke promises.

Aaj ka episode can be watched again. Acha laga dekh ke..... retro songs need to make a comeback, radio sunke bahut nostalgia hua.

This is one of the first episode since Agastya’s death that I’d be down to watch multiple times. I couldn’t help myself but to smile during the little holi chase sequence.

Surya is making me pighlao a bit with the assertive and consistent way he talks about his commitment to Imlie. It felt so nice to see Imlie be in a happy and playful mood, she looked super adorable when she managed to put colours on her husband first. Their height difference is honestly so perfectly cute, it was well illustrated in that scene.

Both Adrija and Sai were wonderful in today’s episode, dil jeet liya dono ne! I felt proper newlywed wali vibes from Surya and Imlie. We got a good balance of scenes between them as well.

Rang Barse brought me back to the old days a bit, definetely missing Agastya’s Chacha and the way he lit up the room with his musical performance. But this was still pretty good considering how grumpy Surya’s Chacha looks. I like how they’re building up the side track where Imlie helps Chachi gain her freedom of expression.

As for Anjali and Surya’s scene, it really felt so unserious with her calling him “Sunny Boy” in between tears. Remember the heartbreak, the betrayal and the tadap Imlie felt when she thought Agastya actually married Binni? This pales so much in comparison. Sai as Surya was giving so much with his eyes, I just felt like it wasn’t being matched by Anjali’s performance.

I will say that’s I’m glad that Surya is staying strong on his stance, he didn’t even rush over to pick up or help Anjali when she fainted. He let her hug him for a bit too long but Imlie had to see it for the story to move forward. She definetely felt a bit shocked with the sight that fell upon her. Something about the way she faltered in her steps and had to almost brace herself against the counter, Adrija always nails these little subtleties.

The Reddy’s really are in a rush to get out of festive attire, the Chaudhary’s would spend hours in the same outfit dealing with all the drama after the event. Surya still had colour in his beard though lol. I’m glad Tayyi sent them out together to give mitaai to the relatives, so many parallels with Agastya and Imlie’s early wedding days.

The sequence in the car really gave domestic vibes. Imlie went straight to the point, I love that she didn’t give into the banter and instead kept asking questions. Surya was obviously trying to evade the interrogation by turning on the radio but Imlie wouldn’t let go, I was surprised she held on to his hand for so long.

The car going out of control brought me back to Agastya’s death for a second. But Surya’s little reflex to shield Imlie was nice, she reacted more coldly than when Vishwa did it in the past though. I like this stubborn Imlie who won’t hesitate to storm out if the other person isn’t being cooperative. I’m also glad she didn’t believe the first thing he said about girls beings toys to him, she’s persisting for the truth which is a good thing. Knowing about Surya’s sacrifice will help her understand and hopefully soften towards him in the future.

Overall, a really enjoyable episode, well paced and all. Looking forward to the next one, I really hope they keep this energy. Aage ki kahani jaane Radharani!

Yeah I noticed the pink in his beard and it was wayy too distracting. Not sure if he tried and the color didnt go or he missed it. Ghar jaake ghis ghis ke nikalega

The run and chase sequence was so good today. I was pleasantly surprised at how the mood of the show changed. I wish it is Holi everyday. Surya did not give us one chance to point fingers at him. I didn't mind him letting Anjali hug him for that one second extra. He did hurt her pretty badly and her emotions were all over the place, she needed to calm down. I will not watch this scene on repeat coz I cannot hear Sunny boy again. It was too annoying.

I thought they would show Agastya ke accident ka flashback too for both coz it did feel exactly like his accident scene.

Do you think he is unaffected by her tears or he is affected but for him the promise is important so he isn't showing it?

I hope Imlie does not go try to unite the two after getting to know of his sacrifice. Im not sure if she will blame Surya for Agastya ka death or she will tell him that it wasn't his fault.

Imlie is very forgiving when it comes to herself but not when it comes to August Babu.

She was still able to empathize with Vishwa despite all the physical harrassement she faced from him. But whenever he tried to hurt Agastya, she’d hold him accountable. Whether it be when Vishwa almost ran them over with his car or when he tried to shoot Agastya after kidnapping Imlie.

So far she’s forgiven Surya for everything he did to her pre-marriage, whether it be when she was a maid or when he ruined her chances of passing the exam. The marriage is a harder one for her because she feels like he’s taken away her right to be Agastya’s widow.

I’m also not sure how she’ll deal with knowing that Surya was supposed to die that day and not Agastya. We’ll have to see if they drop hints in the upcoming episodes.

We’ve seen Sai as Agastya and Surya react to Imlie’s tears, there’s so many emotions swirling through his eyes that you can tell it affected them.

I’m not getting the same vibes for Surya and Anjali scenes, maybe it’a just the chemistry between the actors being off. Adrija and Sai have set the bar pretty high so it’s hard to match that at the moment with the third angle.

I think they want to show us that Surya was in love with Anjali, it’s just not translating well on screen. The way she calls him “Sunny Boy” during emotional scenes doesn’t help either. It doesn’t have the same effect as when Imlie calls him Rowdy Reddy, it’s also a question of voice modulation I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
