First of all, thanks to @Enlightened ji for sharing the TT thread here I can finally understand why Aryan brought AKT in their equation today.

Ok, so I read your post and as I have mentioned it got me so excited u know why bcz my views are different with a 360 degree angle how?

Q1. Why was Imlie so devoted to AKT & Ts?

Harsh truth but reality, the kind of love Imlie had for Akt & Ts was exactly the kind of love we have for god(not the normal devotees) but the ones who have blind faith and believe even in weird superstitions for the love of god. Wanna see an example:

These women are doing what they are doing for their love and faith in god so? Does that mean this is right? They are doing this so called ritual and letting "priests" run over their backs while they are lying on the road bcz they believe that it will bless them with a BABY. Yes, u read it right. Now, in sabka Imlie se kya relation? Bht bada relation hai why? Imlie did whatever she could for the Tripathis and AKT, she would entertain them, solve all their problems, run to save AKT every now and then, she did everything she could for them but why? Because Imlie always lived with the hope that one day the Tripathis and AKT will accept her be it whatever relation as beti or as bahu. Now we will say Aisa thodena hota hai? Ye mein nhi keh rahi ye khud Imlie ne kaha hai when she said she will live as RADHA / MEERA for AKT, wanted to become CHOTTI MAA to his child with his ex-wife who happens to be her half sister as well. So? Is this kind of love right? Than the devotion and love of the women above who are ready to do whatever they can to have a BABY is right as well. Sadly, the comments on the article and people's reaction does not agree with these women and their POV of devotion and love. But the women are right na? Whatever they are doing they are doing it to obtain a child of their own, to make their husband happy, to make their family happy so why their love is wrong?

Iss baat ka answer mein nhi dungi, mein chahti hoon aap khud sochkar batao

2. So, why is Imlie not devoted to R's so much?

Imlie ki life mein sabse important kon hai? Meethi & Satyakaam right? But Imlie is seen even sidelining these 2. But we all know ki Meethi & Satyakaam will always remain foremost important to Imlie. Does that mean that Imlie does not love these two? No, Imlie has various internal tendencies going on with her because of her childhood/village background/AKT/Tripathis. In short, the girl basically needs counselling and therapy. For me, she is hardly normal. I am not a phycology student/ psychiatrist/ mental health counsellor but I have seen a case of schizophrenia in my far extended family and that makes me come to this conclusion that there are pshycological issues going on with Imlie. And here is how one of the issues comes into picture: Imlie will never run behind the ones who truly love her/respect her but will she will die for the ones who does not value her/ are mean to her/ disrespect her/abuse her. Do u think any normal human would do that? NO, this is the major reason hardly any audience can connect to her. Now why she is not that devoted to Rs ? Bcz she has always received respect from them, but when Narmada turns against Imlie what happens? Imlie now becomes desperate to receive Narmada's love, she is even seen crying and begging her to forgive and accept her, but had Imlie done anything to hear those vile words from Narmada? NO, then why cry and beg her for forgiveness? Because she suffers from Stockholm Syndrome.

Now what is this syndrome?

Stockholm syndrome is a psychological condition that occurs when a victim of abuse identifies and attaches, or bonds, positively with their abuser. This syndrome was originally observed when hostages who were kidnapped not only bonded with their kidnappers, but also fell in love with them.

Professionals have expanded the definition of Stockholm syndrome to include any relationship in which victims of abuse develop a strong, loyal attachment to the perpetrators of abuse. Some of the populations affected with this condition include concentration camp prisoners, prisoners of war, abused children, incest survivors, victims of domestic violence, cult members etc.

3. Imlie married Aryan for T family?

NO, infact Imlie married Aryan to protect the Rathores from the vile intentions of BM. But then why did she agreed to Aryan's deal for marriage in return for Ts & AKT? Because of ARYAN himself. I know this will sound shocking but this is what it is. Why? Flashback to the scene when Imlie asks Aryan what does he want? Aryan says TUM, his TUM was the reason Imlie agreed to the deal because 1st time in her life someone was choosing her that too a man who was so obsessed to destroy AKT was ready to let go of it all in exchange of her. 1st she wanted to know why her? Wasn't she supposed to be a pawn for him but he is ready to let go of it all in exchange of having her in his life why? So she deliberately starts resisting him/ saying she hates him/keeps questioning him whether he loves her? She wanted to see how far he can go for her. Do u think anyone can just force a girl that too of today's generation into marriage just like that? This is Imlie we are talking about didn't she beat her own traffickers using a belt or something🤔 You still think Aryan could actually force Imlie into a marriage and Imlie would have left him alive? 🤪Also, she is enjoying all their challenges of pre wedding rituals, she wanted to see how far he can go and if whatever he is doing is really for her. With each ritual, Aryan proves it to her that he indeed wants her. Post this confirmation she has no problem in marrying Aryan proves? No resistance from her in making him wear her ring and wearing his instead look at her face, she is impressed. Their Holi challenge that he wins, she has a tear roll down her cheeks and is looking at him fascinated. Why all these reactions when she did not want to marry him? I see there are 2 sides to her personality: one is the Imlie who is burdened with few psychological issues/ abandonment issues/ Stockholm syndrome but then there is the real IMLE who is free spirited/ does whatever comes to her mind/ is not answerable to anyone/ free from all obligations and IT IS THE FREE IMLIE WHO IS DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH ARYAN, she had been falling for him the entire Adini Marriage but then the other side to her personality is the one that takes over her and forces her to go give a try and save herself from getting tagged of being a divorcee/ a woman who couldn't save her marriage- insecurities that are there in any village girl.

When I am able to connect to Imlie is when she is being her real self that is the JUNGLI IMLIE, that Imlie is Aryan's Imlie. The real Imlie was never in love with AKT, it is the village girl who thinks if she devotes herself to her husband then he will eventually start loving her that was infatuated with AKT since he was the sole male in her life who also happened to be her husband. The real Imlie is FIRE herself and what makes her fall for Aryan is because he instigates the fire in her, channels her energy, triggers the confidence in her to go win the world. There is a weird logic in ITV couples that if one is fire than the other has to be water/ice to control the energy of their counterpart but my logic is totally different in this case. If one is fire than the other should not be the one who tames down this fire but should be the one who instigates it instead giving u the energy to go conquer the world on ur own.

@Km181 my intention was never to look down on any of ur opinion it's just that these thoughts have been in my mind with respect to Imlie and Arylie and as soon as I saw your post I could see the entire opp thought process. So, I just got so excited that I ended up writing an essay on them. This is still not complete but I don't want to hijack my friend @Enlightened ji's thread so that's why leaving it in mid.

Wow...all I will say is that I enjoy such discussion when done in respectful manner, even if opinions are opposite. Thanks for sharing such nice perspectives.

Only thing I will say is it would have great if writers also think same way and show but we get FL as mahaan who is above all this. She cured Arpita's fear of fire which doctors could not..so Stockholm syndrome, no way we are getting there...

Also, sadly we try to understand Imlie when she is wrong due to her age, past etc . But when has she accepted her fault.. ZERO... Whereas Aryan has everytime accepted and owned his mistakes..that made him a bigger ckt in viewers heart specially mine..

Agree yar, but that's how ITV in general goes because the target audience is women. So we have to let something slide if we want to watch the drama.

I think ASR had to be only ML in the history of ITV to get so much importance. And that because they tried to establish the barabari ka rishta 50/50 narrative. Once in a lifetime opportunity for fahmaan as well.

Also do watch the show from 7th july. It's the kind of drama you'd appreciate, writter updates doesn't cover it. I've got a lot of people to return to show 😂

That makes me recall I started watching Imlie just after Arylie wedding. And then binge watch all episodes from ASR entry. And I really used to get frustrated with Imlie obsession for T family. I came for strong progressive FL. And I was able to tolerate all that because it was in past and I had seen Arylie marriage already. I used to wonder then the patience and tolerance of FD who followed it at that time... No doubt or questions about Arylie chemistry or Sumaan potential but the story then was not at par due to that obsession...

And now full rewind with Gudiya, I have not seen because I knew what was coming..same obsession...that time also Imlie kept saying she was only for her family but I got glimpse for attachment to AKT.. when Aryan asked for marriage she did took his name but couldn't complete the sentence.. this time she can say as mausi or any child, but I see unspoken attachment because it's AKT child too...they have not shown her loss or attachment to cheeku as much as they did for gudiya..

Now do I have patience to follow or should I take sabbatical again and come back once this is over ( or might never return)...next few days will tell...

@bold:- i have lost all hopes of them ever showing all these complexities going on inside Imlie. They will never ever cover this on the show. And that my dear is a huge disappointment. Even with Malini one of my friends made a post how her not being affectionate to gudiya could have something to do with depression/trauma and the way Mayuri is potraying Malini these days man🙇‍♀️ but they will never cover these angles in the show.

Hum audience ko ye sab dikhta hai and we understand this too but itv is not advanced enough to touch such complex topics. Jis tarah se jn logo ne infertility ka mazak banaya tha na usse acha toh it is better if they never touch these issues.

It goes for both our shows. And while the PH did dirty in the other show, normalising it in the name of family.

Yaha clearly wo intention nahi tha, but then actors left so those tracks were not explored and had to be shut down. They're now being revisited with Malini.

Definitely it's tiring and without context even exhausting.

But really good drama if you reconsider 😊

Agree.. ITV should stay away from such sensitive topics.

I know, as I said Aryan may be wrong but I can connect with him.

Any day IF for same reason and I really love to see and understand things from different perspective. Yes, we see for entertainment but somehow even this entertainment leaves a subtle impression on our mind, thought process, so I love to double check with others.

Other show I left long back and now it doesn't affect me, I have moved on 😀 things they show in name of family and are still showing, should be banned...current pregnancy and working women, it's sad, very regressive. Sadly same channel and here also we get the bacha track..🙈

I appreciated Imlie then because of ASR, as he used to call out her unhealthy obsession to t family, doesn't matter the reason. Other show ML got henna tattoo, lost all respect 🤐

I hope they continue good drama, but our subconscious mind gets affected by what we see, so I always actively control what I see. And read such discussion here to get the right perspective...so let's hope at least they retain Aryan as normal human with whom I can connect. Imlie I could never understand so won't bother either.

Thank you for the detail on Imlie, she is confused and lost and does not want to be the burden to the people who are her heart beat, maturity come with time, experience, understanding the world around her and around other’s who are important, balance which at 20 years of age is not in her favour, nobody is aware of her life before 18, what she went through to stand.
