Firstly lemme be clear I'm a big Arylie fan. Aryan and Imlie both but I have a problem with itv writer who always keep the FL right no matter what.
Yes Aryan is wrong today and I'm glad Imlie left him.
Also we are talking of a situation where what if cheeni is Gudiya and Imlie is raising her in PD. Now do you think CVs will show Imlie actually trying to contact akt or tripathis? Even if they refuse to take in Gudiya, Imlie can file a case against them for abandoning their child. AKT has to pay for child support or he can be behind bars
If they show Imlie fighting a legal battle for Gudiya then she will have my respect and any which way Imlie would be termed as a kidnapper if she keeps Gudiya with her as she has absolutely no right on GudiyaAnd whatever akt has done that's a different thing but he ought to know about his child and the state she is in.
So CVs should show that Imlie tried contacting them but they refused to take responsibility
and that my friend is the law of our country.
during covid, there were many covid orphans and there were questions on what would happen to them. the paper mentioned one incident -- the mother was either divorced/separated. when she got admitted to hospital with covid, she left her two daughters with the neighbour. she didn't make it and the neighbours wanted to adopt these two children. now they were in their 50s and had natural children but those had been married and were settled. so they felt confident they can do justice in raising these two children.
however child protection services put a pause and said till they can verify the father is unfit and his relatives are not interested in raising the child, the neighbours cannot be approved. they argued the father is an idiot and did xyz during the marriage but child protection services held its ground.
child protection services also laid out framework for adoption/fostering -- first immediate relatives get preference. then if none are willing, foster home or folks like willing neighbours. this actually came out in full in the national paper and they listed details of their framework especially in relation to covid orphans and what to do. they were very specific.
so back to our story -- it is irrelevant whether aditya was a decent husband or stupid one or just annoying man. end of the day, he is the natural father and his family are immediate relatives. so child services would pick him and his kin first. imlie would not be in the order of kinship. 🤷
also for those unaware, currently the waiting list for adoption is longer than the number of available babies. so for those wanting to adopt babies under 2, it is actually a 2+ year waiting period because there are way too many parents than actually children avaiable. also child services has tightened the proceedures to ensure that no adopted child gets abandoned. therefore, there is a lot more checks and balances. however, for children above 5, there are lot less interested parents and similarly for any babies or children with disabilities. if parents do show interest, then the process is quicker and it can be done in under a year.
so technically speaking, if gudiya ends up in an orphange, she would be immediately placed on the list and the first parent on the waiting list would end up getting the child. from a child to parent transer, it takes about 3 months or less once the baby comes into the system. that is the current adoption climate in our country.
(** if you are wondering how I know this -- I know of a lady who adopted a 7 year old girl and added to their already existing family of 3 girls. so she shared this with me the process she and her husband went through last year).
