One thing I have learned from the past is that neither the makers nor the actors & not even the TRP audience, are emotionally attached to a show like we online audience are. If for the makers/PH it's always about money, for actors it's just an opportunity to prove themselves as actors. So, as long as they get to play various shades, the story doesn't matter to them. And for TRP audience, they just change the channel if they find the show no more interesting. So, us going paranoid on the upcoming track is just a waste of time. Plus, when Gul herself day by day is proving her biasedness to her new show, then why should we let our BPs shoot up for just a fictional show or couple. I will not completely blame her too because, if the channel keeps interfering in their storytelling continuously, then as a creative they too can feel frustrated, right. I understood this from Atif's recent reply to Chandni on why the premdisha promo will never see the lights. There he mentioned about the channel's OAP (On Air Personnel) having taken the decision to scrap that promo. Just imagine how frustrated they would have turned, after putting lots of efforts to shoot such a beautiful promo. Probably, that may be the moment Gul & Atif must have decided to leave it to the channel to decide everything for the show. It might be just because Team Imlie got such a huge attention through RWSP that we must be getting all this new developments budgetwise & trackwise. Otw, who knows whether the news of the show going offair in July end wasn't true. So, I have now accepted that as long as the show is on SP & if SP creatives are the ones deciding the tracks, noone should have any expectations. Because, only drama that brings in TRP matters to them. So, no amount of cribbing is going to work.

Having said that, I am excited for the upcoming track. Because, it will show Imlie too at fault with her obsession for Gudiya and secondly because, at the end of the track, Malini will learn a lesson, if this is going to be the last leg of show. At least two of my wishes regarding the two important female characters will be fulfilled. And regarding Aryan, I am not expecting anything and I am even fine if he is sidelined, as atleast Fahmaan will not have to again sacrifice his health & will be relieved from this everyday SM bullying he gets in the name of TRP & other irrelevant matters. That's how I am trying to stay positive about this track.

That's the best way to follow if we still want to stick on to the show. No amount of whining or cribbing is going to change what the channel has decided for the show. Ultimately they are the ones who take the final decision.

I think the first unexpected shock came to the creatives in the form of the shaadi track. They had barely managed to salvage the plot from that when the next shock came in the form of MV throwing tantrums and calling it quits.

Given the way Aryan’s character was designed from the start, there's no denying that Aditya was always envisaged as part of the story, so having to write off AKT and the Ts must have been like a crippling feeling for them. They barely managed to get over that when the pregnancy track was dumped on them and that was like the last nail in the coffin.

I mean, how much is too much ultimately? Personally, I would be like bhaad mein jaao, do what you want. But despite that, if they have still managed to keep Aryan somewhere intact, that's a lot from a bunch who's been forced to adopt the channel's vision over their own story. Due to all this, they seem to have exhausted the core story and are just running on what the channel wants. The day the channel decides they're done, the creatives can finally breathe a sigh of relief and let it go. Until then, the CVs and the audience will be left with the channel's vision of the show with a dash of the CVs tadka.

Yeah it's always about channels. I don't how their mind works but I guess they have decided the path and we should just turn blind eye and watch the show. Because of Aryan's character out hopes were really high. After Malini's entry was announced I thought will get power pack performances of the trio but alas now I have left everything I wanted behind

Aryan and arylie are selling point of the show and that won't ever be sidelined, other characters will be used to drive the conflict between or against them, sometimes they will fight eo and sometimes they will fight the world together.

That's what makes imlie watchable to any audience, online or trp.

it is difficult to say what on earth happened other than a complete change of team. even during the shaadi track, we did have moments of great writing. then, it just went steadily downhill to utter nonsense. yes, dramas are fiction but come on, we need some semblance of reality to keep it centered. so I have been losing interest and was barely peeking in. now, there is no curiousity to check out despite malini's entrance. where is the spark, the conflict.

I will not blame the channel but the CVs. they wrote themselves into corners like the show was ending. then were surprised the show wasn't and had to figure out stupid ways to extend it like nonsensical kairi track. does it make logical sense that sundar would be in a full body cast or that no one would realizes that imlie is kairi? 🙄 it was comedical nonsense -- which is fine if the show is meant to be a comedy. wasn't imlie supposed to be a drama?

even if the channel interfered, there were ways to write around these tracks and still make it interesting. there were ways to extend the drama for a good number of episodes in a way that would have been juicy and kept us hooked.

okay, they lost MV but they could have killed him off and had aryan seen as responsible. they could have made the tripathis emotionally unstable. they could have brought in a new villain who was the mastermind behind arvind's death and we could have had someone as intelligent to counter aryan. then imlie would have been caught in the middle of the crossfire. that would have been dhamaka.

lets say the channel pushed the baby track but again there were different ways to handle it. what need was there for these two to fall so quickly in love and consumate? 🤦🤦🤦 there are other dramas where the love story takes 100-200 episodes before it even catches fire. if they need a pregnancy, why not have them in a drunken one night and then be confused and mad at each other. that would have been all sort of angst and bitter conflict.

or forget the leads, they could have had the baby track with arpita and sundar and explored a different set of dynamics -- where they look at class and societal differences and whether a couple from such different backgrounds can make a marriage work and added pressure of having a baby.

my point is that the drama CVs have clearly shown that they were writing with no goal in mind. there was no clear sense of vision of where the story was going at all and what they intend to show. if they did, they could have still centered a story with some heart and shown a couple falling in love at ep 1000 after all sorts of conflicts.

so yea, maybe they lost interest in their own show and are just waiting to let it run for as long as the channel wants. 🤷

that is the mistake I feel -- yes, they are the selling point when they were not together. once a couple is together, the drama always loses fizz. that is why ITV drag out love stories to an nth degree and have all sorts of misunderstandings. no couple fall in love that easy. they totally bungled up the love story of aryan and imlie.

And hence the need to reboot. Regardless of baby being caste, she will probably be the one to drive them away, while their love pulls them together.
