I’ve read this interview again, but thank you for posting it and ignoring the rest of my points.😆 I guess you lost track of the purpose of your own post in your need to be petty, but let me remind you again. We were talking about the ‘standards’ of hero and villain. Not whether Imlie is the hero of the show.😆 Imlie and/or ASR are both extremely weak heroes, and apart from strong villains, a story also needs strong heroes to be a good foil to the hero and defeat them at the end. ITV is hardly following the standards of literature, let alone good literature, so being contemptuous on that point is hardly relevant.😆

it does not matter if ITV is good or bad -- we can always dissect because the 7 parts of story is what constitutes any story -- whether it is a cartoon, literature or just plain daily soaps. the point of this thread is to discuss the standard of villains. it wasn't about heroes. but to say, the standard of villains does not matter? seriously???? 🤦🤦🤦

if you think ASR is the hero of the show, why on earth would you watch if you dislike him? that does not make sense. all the aditya fans would have dropped the show if he was really the hero. that is what I do whenver my favourite character exits. I don't spend time watching the show for hero that I dislike so much. like I said earlier, it does not matter one bit if imlie is stupid or brainless. most ITV leads are indeed stupid and brainless. they still continue to be the hero of the show -- hero as in central character.
