Actually the problem was never Aryan’s flawless picturisation. It was the continuation & execution.

Imlie has been made into lord Midas. Whatever she touches becomes gold. Imlie is shown to never do anything wrong. On the other hand any track till date has always started as Aryan’s misunderstanding. They started Aryan as a man who thinks 5 steps ahead of his competitors now suddenly Aryan is a man who is short sighted? Who is going to believe that.

Biggest example: Aryan knew Malini can break his phone hence the drones. 5 step forward thinking. So suddenly how is he so short sighted that he cannot do anything to neutralise Badi Ma & Jo? That He did not do proper research about Purandas? (That is excused because of Manasvi’s proper exit) Jo was his friend so maybe there is a slight bias but Aryan is always made quiet in front of Badi Ma & he takes it?

Continuity is the problem here. In one week Imlie is fighting other’s social stigmas, next week she can’t fight for her own self? One week Aryan just stands in the side next week he talks up!

The biggest selling point of the show 2.0 was Aryan’s calculative mind. And that Was not the mistake. Mistake was not keeping up with it. They have made Aryan into a complete puppy dog, the focus is given to Imlie the whole week then suddenly they bring Aryan to save her, how is that going to work?

I will also blame the regressive tracks & pregnancy. Aryan came in as a ray of hope for Imlie’s future as a reporter not as his child’s mother. And the sudden flip that Narmada has taken. She was hailed as the best saas then suddenly how did she flip?

People say audience relate to the FL. In this show people do relate to the FL but they relate to Aryan since the time of his entrance because he was a breath of progressive fresh air. I think makers couldn’t manage that that’s why Imlie was again given the centre stage & Aryan was sidelined (read: continuity)

From here on if Aryan is shown doubting on Imlie because of Jo the show is doomed. The entire buildup behind Aryan’s character is a waste. So makers need to think properly and show a 50/50 split. Make Imlie do something wrong because Aryan being wrong only isn’t going to help here. Make a mutual misunderstanding. But I dont see that happening.

And honestly speaking makers are taking ideas from social media according to me. That never works. Any character has ups& downs. Aryan’s character is now just a flat line. Makers are scared of the social media protest that would come along with Aryan’s ckt ruining. Sometimes it’s better to go the conventional way instead of trying something new especially when you have exhausted your ideas.

I actually talked about the same thing in one of my topics Khud pe Pair Pe Khuladi. Makers have created ASR as an anti-thesis to AKT and vitually a flawless person. Now they try to show even a minor deviation from that, FD goes berserk that his character is being butchered. Where is the story if there is no conflict especially in a love story. Every character needs to have flaw. We don't need him being a jerk or MCP, but he can be shown having flaws like trust issues, afraid to fall in love bcoz of some past experience or a big MU like ASR had of Khushi in IPK. These are just examples. I'm sure makers and writers have much more creativity and they can create beautiful lovable flawed characters.

Par yaha to Aryan aur Arylie ko itna perfect bana diya hai ki kuch bacha hi nahi hai aur kuch karne jao log halla macha dete hai. And Qualitative tracks trp nahi laate. Ab kare bhi to kya kare.

Tbh , there are plenty of ways to show a flaw in person. But problem occurs when aryan's core is touched. Aryan can be short sighted when it comes to his loved ones. He could be extremely overprotective. His biggest flaw is his survivour's guilt. He has tendency to blame himself for any wrong happening to his loved ones. His another biggest flaw is his closed off nature.

Also, aryan and Imlie have different temprament . Aryan is practical.person while Imlie is impulsive . Imlie's impulsivity is literally screaming conflict .

Yes, they trust each other, understand each other but that is basic in a relationship . They can still have problems mainly bcz of her impulsivity.

Also, in their relationship, the main point of conflict could be Imlie's impulsivity.

Conflict doesn't necessarily have to involve husband doubting wife's loyality. It could also be due to different tempraments that they have.

The point channel interference just ruined the essense of story .

Atleast show Aryan's ML and start afresh, bcz this is only solution I can see. It will be like a soft reboot.

Also , american series had healthy couples that were better than on off couples jim pam, jake amy, monica chandler, leslie ben and many more

Agreed. But we all know these tracks can't bring trp. All I meant is that from ITV shows and audience POV, issues like temperament and difference of opinion, emotional scars and baggage aren't going to run on prime time dramas. We can't even compare the relationship progression and growth that they show in American TV to ITV. The moment MU's between the couple clear and they proceed to confession, that's it. Uske baad standard conflicts are new villains ex's, infidelity, memory loss, separation etc. I'm afraid that's all Imlie is left with after end of core plot.

The main reason for Arylie conflict was solved aise hi. ITV writers lack creativity in writing office/professional tracks. Imlie as a show has got TRPs due to these tracks. Aruan's revenge track also could have been a good track with proper conflict between the leads. But they ruined the potential. If not make AKT the villain, they could have killed AKT and brought good drama. But no. they were determined to turn AKT pious and bid the tripathis goodbye. But on the other hand they never had a good story planned for Arylie . And this shows now. After the Purandas track, the show is void of any story. Sirf bada chada ke social messaging chal raha hain and that too in a wrong way. Drama can be brought even if the characters are perfect. There is no need of ML. Drama has to be created. If Aryan is flawless, Imlie is not. She has her insecurities. Drama can be brought through that. But makers won't try. They cannot writhe either professional drama or domestic drama. A total failure.
