They needed a weak link to make imlie helpless against the villains. Else bm n bd were ineffective. Jyo’s machinations would look lightweight. But I feel like makers should have shown Narmada like that from begining. She should have been ambiguous from the day Aryan brought imlie home. Because then audience wouldn’t have such s huge disappointment. If Narmada was shown to be even a slightest bit wary of Aru’s relationship with imlie this present scenario would gave worked way better.

Just kills that character to the roots if she starts pushing BJ.....🤬 onto ASR. But, as I said this is triggering me like crazy, as this happens subtly in some relationships between MIL and DIL. Have a friend, extremely sweet and caring girl from college. Her MIL lives with her, and so there are bound to be some conflicts just like any other between two people who live in close proximity.

When I went to visit her during my trip, I got a earful from the MIL and I got praised for qualities that I didn't even know I had. This she figured out in that 1 hr spent with me that I am a person of the highest order and my friend is a single celled organism😡I don't understand what she expected me to say, like I should agree with her assessment of my friend or what? 😡I won't say it went anywhere else, but just saying I can see how this kind of a thing can be dragged into something else, just like Narmada is subtly saying that this psychopath is better than her DIL for her son☢️

Buzz off Narmada, respect your son's decisions and his life and his marriage. I can't tell you how creeped out I feel🤬 with this dynamic, of trying to push some diddly doo onto your married son to get back at your DIL. The whole pregnancy/infertility thing is so gross, to put a merely a teenager through that infidelity nonsense😭Makers, please spare us.

The only defence i can give for her is that she was an 18 year old in a marriage with a huge power imbalance away from home and made to feel that she was worthless. So she stuck to every crumb of affection shown by the honest patrakaar.

But i do wonder if they had shown aryan entry then - who would he have supported - the naive village idiot or the wronged wife??

Exactly, my friend. I am and was a Malini sympathizer.🤗 That girl took the worst kind of beating as a character not only from other characters but also from the story😭

There was one instance when after she knows about this cringe, she files for divorce and comes to get the patrakaar guy to go to the court house for some proceedings. Imlie, meanwhile is busy trying to prove she is the best bahu material🤬 and so patrakaar feels that this is more important than sorting out his life and free Malini from this nonsense. And he gets locked in a room accidentally, I don't remember the details. But, as he gets out, he accuses Malini of locking him 🤬up to prevent going to this Imlie's best bahu proof event.

Malini gets so irate, hurt and offended when she hears that he thought of her as such a petty person while she is doing everything in her power to get acceptance to the cringe worthy organic whatever. That too after knowing her for 7 long years. Malini is the only support Imlie had when she first came into the house as a househelp, she took her under the wing. She pulled up her dad for justice to Imlie to give legitimacy to her birth, so on and so forth...... So, a character like this, how do you believe will steal some stupid roti to impress the cringe guy?☢️ And then to drug him and violate him😡🤬 Just not believable, and therefore I reject that narrative completely.

Whatever it was, as an actress, she behaved with a lot of poise, grace and integrity🤗This forum used to be a cesspool of nonsense not just about the character for no reason but also of the actress. There were no slip ups on the part of the actress no matter how low the comments went😭 I can't even verbalize the extent to which the comments went on this very forum☢️

ASR, bless his heart, the other reason I liked him is that he never expressed second hand disgust with Malini on behalf of Imlie. He reacted mostly to what he observed rather than what he was told. Of course towards her PF, they added up everything😒 But, I would say, he would have sided with Malini, probably would have sympathized with Imlie too.

I have no defense to Imlie during that phase🤬. It was so cringy that both of them and Meethi just expected Malini to buzz off or move on to some other guy and leave them alone. The way she attacked Malini is as if you are watching a young girl trapped by a middle aged guy who wanted to upgrade his partner tells her that she is his true love and she must know that this is a soul connection and that his current wife is a mere mistake👎🏼. And then the young girl gets so infatuated and weaponized that this indeed is a soul connection and attacks the legal wife🤬 The number of times she said to Malini that her connection to patrakaar is zidd and that Imlie-patrakaar is some Sita Maiyaa's blessing😡

The only way I reconciled with her is after she left patrakaar and stopped spewing nonsense. Then she seemed like an idiotic, infatuated teenager who did a lot of mistakes and is determined to move on😎While I feel that this young girl deserves to be happy, I am lukewarm towards her for the most part😒 But, when she seems vulnerable, my heart goes out to her

I won't talk about the patrakaar🤢, he is the root cause of everything bad in the show, his character can be called as a lead, but no way a protagonist🤬He disgusts me to the core👎🏼

But, just looking at ASR's sensibility, especially with him taking Imlie with care to the room, would he have........? But, if he didn't then, the next steps in the chain of events with non-pregnancy and non-infertility don't make sense😒

I'm so glad I finally found someone in the same boat as me.

I used to watch the show from beginning but on and off since there was nothing that actually held my interest. I had only started to watch because I'm a fan of Mayuri since her previous show.

Before Malini's character nose-dived to extremities, she was one of the best written one in the entire show. She was a woman who loved and lost. At a later point, even her anger and frustration and envy was understandable. Was she right, no, but she was a person who lost her love of 7 years, her friend, her husband and to whom, her step sister.

Until she started plotting murders and rape, her anger was understandable. During her marriage to AT the last time, she tells her mother she wants to see Imlie lose it all. For me, that is still understandable as she's coming from a family where's she seen her mother lose it and now history repeats. Ofcourse the makers could have shaped her character better but I still see there's some sort of poetic injustice when you see both the Chaturvedi women losing out in the hands of fate.

What ultimately Malini was not able to understand is that it's not the other women who's completely at fault. It was also the guy who was not able to handle the situation and didn't do justice with either women.

Until the later point of the story when Imlie finally started to realise her Babusaheb's flaw (which is after Aryan's entry) that I finally started resonating more with Imlie. I had a bit of sympathy for her earlier but I could never understand what she wanted to achieve at the end of the day. Did she plan on to stay forever as the househelp and remain in the house as undisclosed bahu and yet have her sister remain married to her husband?. And then her association with the T's was something I was never able to digest. Pre-Aryan, all I could muster was some sadness on seeing a young woman who was forced by fate and who didn't realise what the world was, not some sort of black and white canvas but rather an amalgam of grey.

@bold1: You've nailed it, damn true. Mayuri dealt it with a lot of poise and grace and till this day, unlike others who are literally ungrateful to the fame and name that the show bought them no matter what!!! I used to visit this forum though not regularly but was really saddened and offended as well to such comments go at her. I still remember the interview with the 4 of them and how some people targeted her with so much vitriol.

@bold2: And I resonate completely with the sentiment of that statement. What disgusts me more is when such a narcissistic character is defended. I suppose the world needs it's balance with such thinking as well!
