this dizi is called "sen analat karadeniz" -- it is not a fun drama to watch in the sense that it covers very serious themes. it made me cry buckets, wringed my heart out, made me seethe at the villain... but then like many dramas, it lost steam about 2/3 and I just skipped and watched the ending. 😂.... still the drama has a standout hero (very unique in some ways) and the type of villain you really loathe. and the BGM, wow, reminds me of the image of rough seas.

ooh, am so glad! it is definitely not the run of the mill type drama. I discovered it very randomly and this was me at first episode -- 😲😱😮🤯... the ending of the first ep -- I was like, "what on earth did I just watch?" it was such a rollercoaster of emotion 😅.. and the BGM - 🥰

same! thats why I was annoyed with the change in music. as it is, I feel like the quality and poetry has been lost and randomly changing music to something from some 20-30 years ago felt so weird for a young couple. if it was used for anupama, it makes more sense because they are an older couple. but come on, not these two. so yea, I didn't realize how much the poetry and magic was also helped by the BGM.

Nothing can be compared to the first 100 Arylie episodes. And because it was properly planned with a poetic narrative, their own BGM was enough to create the magic and convey the meaning of the scene. But, with the way the recent episodes were disjointed, I think they needed to add songs with apt lyrics to convey what they wanted to portray. Probably that maybe another reason for the overusage of BW songs.
