The frame clearly holds meaning. He only has pictures of who he considers family:

Scenario 1: There was a picture of him and Arvind. One he couldn't bear to look at anymore. One he needed to put away. And yet he couldn't get rid of the frame. The frame a reminder of the emptiness in his life after Arvind left, the frame a reminder of his vow for revenge, the frame a promise of not forgetting.

But now, as Imlie takes the lead in this investigation and gets closer to the truth. He knows he will fulfil his promise. He fill this empty place and the move on, with her.

Why the blinds? Because it was a private moment. One he needed to explore alone.

Scenario 2: A picture of him, Arvind and someone else. The someone else who is going to be your new villain. He removed it because the someone else left him alone with his pain and loss of Arvind, He could never replace that hurt and so he never put a photo back in. However, the revelation will be that the third person actually orchestrated Arvind's murder.

Ex lover?? I don't think so. Or let's say I hope not :)

I think it is Scenario 1

He was sad as he feels - he is using imli for his personal purpose even he mentioned he will not use anyone for his motive / revenge multiple times 😔

If it is Scenario 2 - then... I think arvind character would be shaded or complete negative .. .... he probably planted a girl in aryan's life to keep him busy and away from business .... played games with arpi , faked own death and flew away with all he can ... and that girl (could be arvind's partner/ real girl friend) 😳... aryan does not know about arvind and his gf link / teamed ... and thought she just left him due to his motive to take revenge or changed personality / changed purpose in life etc...

After reading your post I am scared if telly chakkar's article about Aryan moving on with his old GF is real. because once AKT is proved innocent how else are makers going to prolong the show.

These two are not quite in love with each other or really aware . I don't know -- the relationship isn't developed enough. A separation only works if there is angst right? -- so I think it will be a while till another person enters the picture (if they will?). So I would take the telly chakkar article with a pinch of salt.

I think the missing picture either has something to do with Arvind, his death or some family problem with the dad... because it causes him sadness and a heaviness.....

Thanks for the tag falooda. After reading your post, I went and rewatched this scene and I was surprised that I too felt the same, especially when that mysterical melancholic score that's played once he puts the frame back on the table with their marriage pic in it and the agony-filled expression in his eyes. Connecting it with Arpita's words that followed in the next scene at home where she was teasing him and he too reacts back only to be stopped when she says she will tell all his secrets to Imlie, I too get a feeling that there might be more into why that frame was lying empty on the table. Probably CVs are keeping it as an open end to be explored later. Because, as of now, I feel that the current focus is on both Imlie and Aryan taking baby steps to improve their relationship. So, maybe once realisation happens on both sides or Imlie's side, we might get to see what was more important to Aru than visiting the factory on that eventful day.😊

A great post Mango Jiiii🤗

Empty photo frames could be an indication of the happy past/future or sad past.

Since they played a melancholic music here, we can assume it could have been a photo of Young Aru with his dad, Jiju or a basically an young Aru winning an competition. You can actually confirm this because of a dialogue from Arpi Didi. You remember she says UNB jii before you become Aryan Singh Rathore, aapko bhi Mr.India mein part Lena tha? Yaad Hai ki bhopl Gaye?!

This frame could have contained that photo. Overall it was an indicator of his happy past which he thinks he does not deserve now. And that's heartbreaking.

I like the idea that it was indication of a happy past -- it is heartbreaking if he thinks he does not deserve it. but if it was something happy, then he can come to a point later where he thinks of the memory in a happy way. :)

either that frame had his young photo or his jiju added that frame for aryan's wedding photo....

yea, the CVs may not have a plan as of yet but may cook up something later. I hope that whatever it is, we get a more fleshed out version of who Aryan was before he became Aryan Singh Rathore and they answer the question of the picture in a beautiful way. :)

it felt like 2 different emotions -- when he starts talking to Imlie photo and complaining, it shifted into comedy mode with the employee standing in back and smiling at his nonsense... but before that, it was a different emotion of sadness, heaviness, some melancholy. it was rather striking...
