Then he meets this girl, who fascinates him at how fast she moves on from her pain, only for him to find out that it is all pretence. She holds on to things too.

Now, he knows that Imlie has held on to this case. That the thing that has fuelled him for 4 yours is no longer a thing that's fueling just him, it is powering up this other girl who wants to go about his case in a way other than him.

Tough Love, because he connects to her. Like him, Imlie also doesn't let go of things she consider important. That makes him soft towards her. Hence, tough love.

Fear, because now that Imlie is on the case, right behind him, but trying to catch up even if she is 4 years too late. He fears the loss of purpose if the case comes to an end.

Dilemma, because Imlie is a new player in town. She has seen what is important to him, and has made it important for herself too. He fears her reaching a different conclusion than him. He fears her point of view could lead him astray from his own path. But most of all, more than fear, he is curious to see how she reaches the end. How her investigation is different than him. How she ends up pursuing it.

I couldn't have explained his feelings better... perfect post.

He is not confused but he is torn, in more ways than one and that is what is firing up the different emotions within him. His dilemma is very real, very raw.

I purposefully didn't say anything about this scene in my post, I wanted to comment on Monday. But, chalo ! I am glad you brought this up👍🏼

Survivor's guilt is making him volatile with his emotions with Imlie😒He had decided that ultimately, whatever circumstances lead to jeeju's death, he is the guilty party who committed the crime of sending jeeju in his place that day😭 He is the ultimate culprit. When jeeju is dead because of what he had done, how can he live his life with any shred of happiness? He will only live his life to fulfil his duties and to avenge his jeeju's death.

This is where those references by Arpita and Narmada resonate. Arpita saying, he used to take care of everybody, most importantly he used to take care of HIMSELF😭. Now he doesn't care what happens to him. Similarly, Narmada saying your people need your pyaar, not just your protection ( paharedaari)😭 This makes sense at the genuine delight of mother and sister when they see their son smiling🤗 with Imlie. Seems like the last 4 years are confined to taking care of his business, his mom and sister and waiting every second to avenge his jeeju's death. He remained the walking dead😭 God, this is gut wrenching😭

When Imlie came into his life, he started caring for her as well, may be in the beginning to make sure she is not hurt by his culprit and later on for her and his own sake❤️. He fights with himself mostly and his family to convince that there is nothing other than caring for a deserving, young girl who had gone through so much in life. But, now she is in his face, in his room and in his proximity. He can't help but share some precious, fine moments with her, lets his guard down to live in those moments😊 But, then the guilt kicks in, how can he allow himself this happiness, when he is the reason for jeeju's dealth and his sister's and mother's anguish😭 When he sees Imlie cleaning room, it is symbolic of what she is doing to him too. She is opening that window to life's little and ultimate pleasures to feel, to love and be loved, to care and to be cared for and TO LIVE😭 He can't do a damn thing about it. If Imlie weren't there, then none of this would have happened and hence the outburst😭

And the precap shows him going back into this mentor mode and reminding her that he already had shown her how to push through when all doors are closed. A true mentor, as I mentioned the other day, is one who won't let his mentee fail ,even when you know that they could go on to steal your thunder

The guy deserves a big bear hug😭 and deep grief therapy. My heart breaks for him. But, the actor is nailing every nuance of his grief and volatility. Intensity is his forte👍🏼, he can emote just with his eyes, his face and voice. He can convey intimacy just with his voice and grief and anguish just with his eyes. I hope he gets recognized for this phenomenal acting👏

It is like doing zoom sessions, where you have a blurred back ground for privacy reasons😲 I would like the 3 dimensional effect please to feel real🤔 Pretty please

I'm glad you responded and shared your precious opinion.

I wrote this because last 2 episodes had left me wondering what his state of mind was. And the interview bit where he cried, I too became teary eyed. The way he emoted pain. That downcasted look of guilt because he's crying in front of his Apne. That helplessness of not being able to overcome that pain💔 he really deserves a tight hug. I wish imlie hugged him instead of just holding hands.

But what I assume is that he's internally battling with his two selves right now. The one who has been driven solely by revenge for years and the one who loves imlie and wants to hold her hand and walk out of darkness.

So when he helps her, it's not just him giving in or being a mentor. Yes he's also doing it. But deep down I feel he's also fighting for himself. Like I said in the topic post, imlie can't save him unless he wants to be saved. In that dream, imlie did not forcefully grabbed his hand. She waited patiently for him to hold her hand. That's what I feel is happening.

Posts like these always shows those hidden emotions not all of us (I'm one of those) can see.

It really showed me a deeper meaning of his actions.

Is he afraid like audience that he wasted 4 years of his life planning a revenge for something that was not even done? Is he afraid that if Imlie prove him wrong she will leave him as the purpose will be fulfilled? His love for Imlie over powers his thought process and he ends up contradicting his own actions. One way or the other his dilemma, his fear will end when Imlie will finally reach her conclusions.

I wanted to know different opinions and I did enjoy it. We all see the same thing but with different lens and perceive it in our own way. That's why it's really nice to gather so many interpretations and thoughts❤️

For Aryan, Arvind was not a brother in law alone. He was Aru's buddy who was also a father figure to him. Moreover, he was someone whom he had promised to protect from all evils, not only for him but for his Didi too. To top it up, it was Aru who was to be in Arvind's place on that unfortunate day. So, Aru's reason for being so emotionally scarred by Arvind's departure is a mixture of guilt, pain, love and missed happy family moments. That's why Aru is deeply affected by the mishap more than Arpita. And all these years, he channelised all this mixture of emotions to focus on one aim - revenge. And that is the force that has been driving him all these years.

Now imlie enters and he gets one more reason to cement his decision to revenge Aditya, for the loss he imparted on his family, is right. But, Imlie surprises him with her forgiving nature and the love she has for the family which humiliated her. He was surprised by the way she never lets her pain suppress her fighting spirit. He got a jhalak of it for the first time, when he saw a bubbly Imlie the day he got her payal. Also remember how surprised he was, when he saw how she cooked all that dishes right after having a heartbreak watching Adini married. He even sneakily tasted to see if she got the taste right. That's how Imlie caused cracks in his walls for the first time. He might have emulated lmlie in how to let go of his revenge, if she had not turn self-destructive in the name of proving her love for the Ts. A weak/helpless Imlie reminds him of that day when he couldn't do anything to save his jiju. That's why he aggressively continues with his revenge plot. Along with his promise to Meethi to protect Imlie always, his revenge too has an important part to play in strengthening his zidd to not let go off Imlie and marry her at any cost.

But now, tables have turned with Imlie deciding to investigate the case to the grassroot level. And with the words he used to blame Imlie today, it's evident that Imlie is slowly sneaking in & taking the place of the revenge in his heart, which till now was his reason to live. This thought is shaking him to the core because he is not sure of Imlie's response once the final report is out. Right now, he is torn between his desire to see Imlie succeeding in her efforts resulting in a progress in her career and his fear of loosing Imlie. He believes that, once Arvind's name is cleared, Imlie might force Aditya to ask for forgiveness for his irresponsible reporting, thereby resulting in Aru having to release Imlie from this marriage, which according to him, is a fake marriage in Imlie's eyes. And with her being by his side now 24/7, the thought of letting go off Imlie is becoming harder for him to accept. But, he is also that person who has always subdued his emotions so that it doesn't affect the wellbeing/freedom of the ones he cares for. And in these 4years he has become an expert in how to put on his guards and tame his pain/agony so that none of his loved ones will get to know it's depth. With Imlie too that's how he will be. That's why in the precap, he immediately changes his stance and starts mentoring her.

Is it tough love? Or actually the fear of losing her? I mean like he doesn't know she's doing it for him and she doesn't explain either. But him destroying all evidences seems really unnecessary.

So what is it exactly? Is it:

Tough love? Him being the ASR we were introduced to? I don't think so. I think it's more than that. Fear? That whatever closure this will bring, after that she'll leave. Return to Aditya. Hence the resistance. Or both. Just like the decision to marry her. It was a mixture of both trying to save her as well as claiming her.

But then the next moment he finds himself helping her😕 because her helplessness or feeling defeated triggers him? Or he's subconsciously fighting a battle with himself? A battle with his trauma, the self that wants this revenge to remain exclusively his like before. Like his monologue in hospital about figuring out a way to keep her away from all this. But in this battle, the Aryan who loves imlie wins. Hence he gives in? Gives her interview, advice, himmat.

I like the sound of that. Just like the dream. She's stretching her hand, for him to take. To pull him out of the darkness. But it's his battle too. He's fighting for himself. The need to remain in darkness vs. the urge to hold that hand. He needs to do it himself. She's not the sole rescuer. He helps her. To rescue him from that darkness. From himself.

It's so realistic. He's subconsciously helping her to help him. And it's tough. Really tough. To battle one's years old trauma. It's painful so he lashes out from time to time💔

I think it's all three of them..

Tough Love - He is not the same Aru that he was 4 years back.. situations has made him hard from inside.. And hence it is very difficult for him to accept it to even himself that he is in love and continuously giving it a name of zimmedari, partnership and all

Fear - One emotion which constantly remains in Aru's heart and mind is Fear.. He may sound and look all powerful but the truth is he always lives in fear... Fear of losing his loved ones.. fear of losing Imlie...

Dilemma - He himself doesn't know what he wants at this moment... He wants revenge from Aditya but at the same time he doesn't want Imlie to feel helpless and hence at one side where he was ready to recall all the painful moments of his past on the other hand he doesn't want Imlie to meddle in the matter but at the same time he was not stopping her either...

So all his actions that we witnessed today at the last part and at the precap is a result of all these 3... he had left Arvind's room as it is as he doesn't want to get part from his memories or should I say he doesn't want to forget how happy he once was... and someone who is actually very close to his heart disturbing those memories made hum restless and the fear of losing something close to him overpowered him yet again...

Just like in the hospital when he had punched Aditya because he was scared that Aditya will snatch Imlie just like he did in his dream...

And everyone needs to vent out his emotions at a certain point of time for suppressing it for too long make one's heart heavier and Aru has been suppressing it for 4 long years
