Tough love, Fear or Dilemma?

So after watching today's episode, Aryan's actions have left me wondering something 🤔

What is he actually trying to do? I don't think he himself realises what he wants at this point hence the scene from today where he blows for a moment giving words to his dilemma of how imlie is affecting his thought process now and that his life was focus before she barged into it.

But right after that, the precap shows him again giving her a seekh and a way of how to solve this case. Basically his actions are so contradictory at this point.

Is it tough love? Or actually the fear of losing her? I mean like he doesn't know she's doing it for him and she doesn't explain either. But him destroying all evidences seems really unnecessary.

So what is it exactly? Is it:

Tough love? Him being the ASR we were introduced to? I don't think so. I think it's more than that. Fear? That whatever closure this will bring, after that she'll leave. Return to Aditya. Hence the resistance. Or both. Just like the decision to marry her. It was a mixture of both trying to save her as well as claiming her.

But then the next moment he finds himself helping her😕 because her helplessness or feeling defeated triggers him? Or he's subconsciously fighting a battle with himself? A battle with his trauma, the self that wants this revenge to remain exclusively his like before. Like his monologue in hospital about figuring out a way to keep her away from all this. But in this battle, the Aryan who loves imlie wins. Hence he gives in? Gives her interview, advice, himmat.

I like the sound of that. Just like the dream. She's stretching her hand, for him to take. To pull him out of the darkness. But it's his battle too. He's fighting for himself. The need to remain in darkness vs. the urge to hold that hand. He needs to do it himself. She's not the sole rescuer. He helps her. To rescue him from that darkness. From himself.

It's so realistic. He's subconsciously helping her to help him. And it's tough. Really tough. To battle one's years old trauma. It's painful so he lashes out from time to time💔

Ok that last scene really seemed like restlessness... I mean he's made a life around revenge for last 4 years.

It was a thought that made him wake up in morning and get going. A purpose if you will.

Imlie pursuing this case, solving it, means it all ends, then what's the purpose of his life?

The agitation came out of losing his purpose.

And also because he can't even stop her from pursuing this matter, as iss bahane she's focussing on her career as well which he wanted.

Can you see his dilemma?

@ bold: This is where is survivor's guilt comes into play. This is so heartbreaking but also necessary. With this case he actually will be forced to confront his demons and will have to grieve.

My heart just aches thinking after closure of arvind case ,poor boy will have massive breakdown because now with justice served he will have to accept the fact that it as just destiny's play and it's not his fault.

I am so.looking to the breakdown of aryan bcz boy the range fahmaan has is so rare in itv. Still can' t get over the rain confrontation scene which pulled me in. The voice modulations, the use of hands, that little naunces in face expressions.

True. Would love to see him in pure emotional scenes, he outdoes himself every single day.

Letting go will be so hard, but also necessary because his bitterness has turned into poison now which is hurting him more than anyone else.

He was so comfortable in his grief , it became a home to him .

Than this girl came crashing all the walls, driving away the darkness which has been his solace. And now suddenly he is exposed !

Exposed to the light, to the life.

She is standing at the threshold of colors and life extending her hand for him to hold.

He is reluctant, because he cannot decipher if its reality or a sad dream . A dream which could be broken . She is now the healing to his battered soul. He wants her like a person needs his breath .

The place which has been his home is suffocating him , his vengeance suddenly feels to heavy,his wounds started healing while the bleedings one inspired him to go after revenge .

And she still at the threshold with her extended hand .will she will leave him alone when he is surrounded by life,will she be their for him when he stumbles in the brightness, will she be his new breath ? These are question holding him being the shackles .

And the dilemma is coming out in ways he would have never imagined . A man who couldn't let bitterness near her and wants to destroy anything which unsettles her how could he let har fail in the one thing she is after.

So the whole revenge thing, a place Aryan falls back on. Purpose of life. Tunnel Vision. Everything.

Aryan depends on his revenge, it's become a crutch now.

Then he meets this girl, who fascinates him at how fast she moves on from her pain, only for him to find out that it is all pretence. She holds on to things too.

Now, he knows that Imlie has held on to this case. That the thing that has fuelled him for 4 yours is no longer a thing that's fueling just him, it is powering up this other girl who wants to go about his case in a way other than him.

Tough Love, because he connects to her. Like him, Imlie also doesn't let go of things she consider important. That makes him soft towards her. Hence, tough love.

Fear, because now that Imlie is on the case, right behind him, but trying to catch up even if she is 4 years too late. He fears the loss of purpose if the case comes to an end.

Dilemma, because Imlie is a new player in town. She has seen what is important to him, and has made it important for herself too. He fears her reaching a different conclusion than him. He fears her point of view could lead him astray from his own path. But most of all, more than fear, he is curious to see how she reaches the end. How her investigation is different than him. How she ends up pursuing it.

he himself brought imlie to his life by marrying her n now blaming her for coming in his life..

he expects imlie to understand akt was guilty but locks all the proof from her..

he himself teaches imlie to overcome the hurdles in her investigation on arvind case n then chides her when she does it..

before too, during marriage track he could not see imlie accepting the defeat n giving up while he himself was the one who pushed her to it.. probably coz though he gave different excuses to himself on how he must marry her to protect her from akt, hurt akt etc his inner self feared of losing her since the day imlie came to know about his revenge.. though he set her free at the last moment, married her knowing well she must've returned to mandap under pressure.. must be coz his inner self badly wanted imlie to be with him..

now he motivates imlie to work on arvind story on one hand and vehemently stops her on the other ... and he is not plotting anything against akt too to fulfill his revenge, may be his goodness not letting him to frame akt under a fake case, just fuming from inside how akt didn't get punished, but not giving up on revenge too may be coz his inner self fears of losing imlie once he gives up his revenge n imlie feels Tripathis are safe.. his life very much revolves around imlie I think, under the shroud of his mentally made up revenge.. guess he may give up his revenge if he comes to know imlie really cares for him n will not leave him if he gives up his revenge too, though his bil's immolation n akt's articles will always haunt him..

would be fun when imlie comes to know how madly akkad bagga was in love with her all the way 😄 n how badly he wants her to be with him.. won't be bad if Aryan has psychological issues too if imlie takes care of him ☺️

I think it was more to do wid her entering his 'shrine' which is kind of reminder of his revenge and where he thinks time has stalled.....by leaving d room untouched he is kind of preserving his last essence and memories......

Many people who go through such traumatic situations,they react very negatively to forced change.....which this was... it was an invasion in his eyes even though he knows imlie has no such intention and is doing this for his family's sake.....But it touched a raw point n crossed an invisible line for him.....

I mean even though I knew this scene will appear one day still I was like no imlie don't do this....the whole time...

So all this was d reason he burst but knowing ASR he will again regain composure n come back to his mentor role to help her.......

And after all of this is done we will get a scene similar to how imlie was after d pardafarsh......

it's more his dilemma that his life will lose the maksad for which he is living now. he is cluelessly lost, in grief

he needs closure, he needs to come out from that darkness

he needs to face the pain which he is avoiding in fear ...that he will be lost with this pain...

I don't know about Imlie will leave after this but more than that ...he is drowning in this sorrow this revenge this pain that he won't want to let it go

For that, I have stated both AryLie needs therapy which any normal real world will provide

but here sigh..

He himself feels guilty about his jeeju's death cause, he should be there,Aryan ka sochna hain usse rehena chahiye tha but unfortunately his jeeju went there n then the agony pain, tears of his mother, sister n that helpless situation

he is not able to overcome it..n he is not letting it go... it's like some psychological issue ...

He knows Imlie might reach to its destination, oneside he wants it another side fears the outcome ...
