Imlie had a year long of putting them first. It has become a habit. Give her time. She will snap out of it. I don't think Imlie has been that much selfish in her relationship with Rathores barring the horrible episode yesterday.
What i hated about yesterday's episode was that they undid 2 best insights about Imlie's feelings for rathores in maha episode.
1. When they stopped infront of Rathore mansion yesterday, she said, "This house that felt like my summer vacation, my playground, my happy place my friend's home, now just feels like your home." Which means this was her first refuge and happy place since leaving pagdandia. Imlie is not materialistic so she was not refering to the comforts but the people in rathore family. She views T's as her responsibility and family.. but Rathores are her safe harbor. I got good vibes from that dialogue.
2. When she was crying in the room after her amma's call. she said the only place where she was viewed as equal, had respect has now become a relationship.. HEre I could feel that she views relationships and marriage a burden and place of humiliation because of her time with T. So she is fearing the same will happen with Rathores.
Imlie is scared of everything related to marriage because she has only seen the down side of it. It will take sometime for her to make peace with a healthy family environment. She never saw one in her 20 yrs. Another reason why she wants ABp to leave the revenge i guess. Thats the only dark cloud over this family that is stopping them to heal completely as she sees it.
Also, remember when she went to take care of Aparna after heart attack. She said to ASR. I know this is not my home.. I am here to take care of maa, PS of malini. I am not a servant. I am working from home and doing my job. Its temporary. So her home is with Rathores , She knows it well.
