Have been deliberately keeping away from watching Hindi shows due to some past harkhatein done in the name of stanning & shipping, w/o knowing that fans were being fooled by the PHs and actors, which is a pattern I have seen only in Hindi entertainment industry. The reason why following regional shows are more peaceful and something I have been happy with for the last 1year. It's a YT suggestion on Arylie's Shidhat dance that got me mesmerized again with a Hindi show and has managed to get me hooked to the show continuously for the last 2months. Along with the passion with which the actors portrayed the pain of Arylie's scorned souls, the choreography, cinematography, lighting, direction, camera angles, choice of the colour combinations of Arylie's attires, especially Imlie in red wine gown & Aryan in black with a tint of red wine in the form of his tie - in short, the whole Team of Imlie is to be given the credit of breaking my determination to never ever get involved with a Hindi show and never to be back on IF anymore. And I hope this time I will be more wise not to repeat past mistakes.😌
Now coming to the main subject of how I see the Jhadu promo, this is what I feel the makers are trying to portray. With the way I have observed how the last 2promos (car promo & Malini PF promo) were executed in the episodes, makers have tried to show something about how Imlie's trust in Aditya and overconfidence in dealing with Malini goes waywire after which Aryan has to step in to guide her through the truth. Same would be the pattern with Jhadu promo.
Car promo - Imlie damages a car to teach Aryan a lesson after he questions Aditya on his shallow relationships.
As executed in the episodes after that - Even on the day of Adini's marriage, Imlie still wants to have Aditya back in her life, inspite of how bitterly he treated her during Malini shooting incident & Malini worst kartoot video. With a trust & hope she runs to meet him for one last time, only to be trapped in the car as per Malini's plan. Opposite to what is shown in the promo, it is not by Imlie but for Imlie that the car is damaged. We saw Aryan breaking the door of the car to set Imlie free who then watches her trust on Aditya crashing against all her hopes. The episodes that followed shows Malini confessing about she being the one who had sent the divorce papers, after which again Aditya doesn't take a step against Malini; instead has the audacity to ask Imlie to leave Aryan and come back to him, while he is still married. It's then only Imlie realises where she went wrong w.r.to her life with Aditya and decides to move on.
End result of the track - Imlie takes the first step to break the shackles of the chain with which she was mentally bound to Aditya and turns her back to him for the first time. Breaking of MS and all in the previous episodes were just an outward act done in a haste. Instead, this was the first time Imlie decided to distance herself from Aditya mentally. (Probably, that may be because, the makers had by then finally decided to go ahead with Arylie). We still see traces of those shackles remaining in the PD track; but since that track was more for the makers to establish the partnership of Arylie, we didn't get much about Imlie breaking the remaining shackles. Next comes Malini PF.
Malini PF promo - Imlie announces in an OTT way about the PF, challenging Malini and Aryan is nowhere to be seen in the promo.
Execution of episodes - Imlie & Aryan partner up for Malini PF. Though Imlie with Aryan's support tried her best, she got defeated by Malini in the first half because she was not as shatir as Malini. Moreover, Imlie even resorted to foolish steps at the cost of her life twice. That's how overconfident she was about herself. Only after she accepts to her Sita mayya that she has become weak and has no energy left that Aryan as ASR steps in to help her in the final half, proving that, what was needed to give an equal takkar to Malini is not naivety or overconfidence, instead an equally shatir dimag.
End result - Aditya realises how blind he was regarding Malini; yet has not taken a step to divorce her till date. Imlie is relieved of proving herself her sachai to the Ts and at the same time realises that how much she cringes on even a small touch by Aditya, hinting that her heart has further distanced from him.
Whatever apnapan Imlie feels for the Ts including Aditya is not a real apnapan feeling. If it was, then makers would have shown her going to the T house which now is indeed her house, the night she left the Rathore house. Instead, she went to the temple and that is who Imlie is at the core. A spiritual person driven by her devotion for Sita mayya, which is indeed her strength and weakness at the same time. Strength because it helps her survive against all odds thrown at her. Weakness because, she probably still somewhere believes that Adi & Ts responsibility was entrusted on her by her Sita mayya and by attending to all their needs she is keeping her promise to herself of being a Meera throughout her life. It is because of this convoluted thinking why she keeps the Ts on a higher pedestal than Meethi & SK and why she is not being able to understand the intensity of the Rathore's pain. This might also be the reason why she doesn't want to see Aryan in any other way rather than a friend or mentor and why she is against any change Aryan is trying to bring in her thoughts w.r.to the Ts. Because, she doesn't want to come out of her Meera avatar. Aryan has lots of hurdles ahead before he reaches his finishing point.i.e., the vision he saw about the Imlie from Pagdandiya.
Hence, my guess is that the new promo too is misleading. Imlie is overconfident that she will be able to irritate Aryan by not presenting herself in a gordy dress, which in turn will only embarrass herself first, after which Aryan uski ungli ko tedha karke ghee nikalvaayega. The broom and all is just a OTT representation to attract TRP viewers. The end result will be like it happened in all the previous tracks of Imlie having some realisations. After all, it's the journey of a normal village girl who at the age of 19, had to succumb to unfortunate circumstances and let go of her dreams before getting obsessed by the Saviour syndrome, which she believes is her identity now. Being born as an illegitimate child and having to hear lots of taunts daily about her mother & herself, deep within Imlie has a baggage of inferiority complexes/insecurities which makes it harder for her to have a sense of self-worth. Plus, being a strong believer of her Sita mayya whom she believes is a supporter of whatever she does to help others especially the Ts, it is a difficult path ahead, before the romance track starts.
