Bashing is basically using derogatory words...

If we discussed things already shown in episode with respect to imlie/arylie and gave our opinion on them, that's not bashing.

Otherwise the forum is useless and should shut down.

Absolutely! It is why this whole forced marriage track does not phase me -- it literally feels like a chess game between two immature kids who are duking it out. She is not broken or caged. He has just changed the rules of the game. It reminds me of girls who get a proposal from their best guy friend and are mad that he has changed their dynamic -- they are not even averse to him proposing as there is no "but we are just friends/siblings type equation" argument. They are not horrified that he proposed because they never saw him as a guy and there is a lack of physical attraction. Instead, they are mad that he changed the emotional dynamics without them being aware and they have to dance. It forces them to evaluate him as a man and that makes them uncomfortable. Eventually they have to make a decision and in many situations, once they are over the shock that the relationship dynamic has changed, they accept the guy. For me, that is how the current Imlie-Aryan track feels like. She is confused. At no point, has she stated that she does not see him as a man or that he was just a brother to her etc.

So something that struck out to me during the engagement episode was when he holds her hands and they walk. She looks at him in wonder but she does not stop or pull back out of his grasp. Just as he is holding her hand, she is holding his hands back. This is happening two ways. So there is a wrestling match in her mind as she is confused on how she feels.

Imlie misses him, she misses the friend he was to her the one who cared for her and the one who always had her back. The one who stood by her when things were rough and the one who looked at her as an equal.

She is mad that he took away the friend she had. She thinks he changed - she believes the revenge is dictating his actions and she is upset to see him turn into a ‘monster’ he is not.

I just wished she took a less defiant approach but I don’t hold that against her. I only want to see her work through a feelings and progress NOT regress
