Well, I am realizing now that it wasn't even so much the story, but really the entire experience that I enjoyed, of really what was brought to life by the entire cast really, but Gash, Sumbul, Kiran Khoje and Ritu in particular. Gash and Sumbul really were something and Kiran Khoje and Ritu were not far behind. I just really enjoyed what they brought to their characters, and of course the subteleties and nuances of the cinematography and the direction, unlike the usual Hindi soaps that were too loud and garish for my taste!

Even with Gash, it did become unbearable to watch in between, and thankfully I was able to stop being so invested in it, but I guess there are still remnants of the old memories, which makes me keep coming back, even if to only read the WU. I am still steadfast, I haven't watched any episode since... November maybe?

I concur. The premise itself is nothing spectacular and has been done many times. It’s the treatment, nuances, subtleties and portrayal of raw human emotions that drew me in personally.

Why is Imli always a victim of forced marriages?first time around it was uneducated villagers forcing her to marry Adi. She married him to save his life. This time an educated man has done the same, blackmailing her into marriage. Go figure!

Revenge is the poison that will ruin any relationship. ASR’s family esp his sister who lost her spouse has told him to get off the revenge bandwagon but he’s so mired in it he can’t get out of it. ASR knew Imli will defend the Ts so the “choice” he gave her to marry him was not really a choice for Imli. His thirst for get his revenge on Adi overpowers his love for Imli.

If Imli would have agreed to marry Adi after all the hell she went through with the Ts she must have been be ready to forgive him and restart life with him. Yet ASR who loves to repeat his full name at the drop of a hat🤣 is ready to marry Imli but not ready to disclose his feelings to her.

He could be the loser in this marriage equation esp with new mischief making relatives who showed what they are capable of doing to people who displease them. Imli is in for a lot of grief at Rathore’s that life at Ts could seem like a picnic in the park.

Who knows if Imli will get back at ASR making this a marriage one in name only!

I am recalling at this point the dialog of Imlie from the PD3, right after naani creates a ruckus calling the marriage fake, and Imlie yells at all the villagers "hum kaahe kaafi nahin hai". What a wonderful set of dialogs those were!

It is well and good the writers highlighted and magnified every flaw of Adi's to show how wrong he is for Imlie. I understand it needed to be done for the story to move ahead and in the light of the actor quitting the show!

But I do wish, with her being the female lead, they would show her as someone who is able to make independent decisions, without always being either emotionally manipulated by tears (aparna tripathi) or some sense of duty (parivar, sasuraal etc.) or someone deleting texts etc., basically show her as someone being smart and independently able to make decisions on seeing what's good for her and not good for her! Like when she refused to go back with Adi when he refused to trust her, like when she shouted off Adi when he tried to accuse her of trying to sleep with him at PD2, like when she refused Dev C's help. I think Imlie's strength of character showed through much better in those scenes than having her fight matrix style, or being overly cute and all that. She is 20... it seems like she was much more independent and able to make decisions as an 18-19 yr old, when she had just come from the village than now, when she is almost 20, studying in a college and has been living in the city now for a while!

Imli’s life experiences and outlook on life was brought out beautifully early on and with GM as the lead it was good. N

True now Imli is more a reactive woman than a woman who responds to a situation with strength and courage. Would have been more women centric with Imli portraying a woman who makes choices that work for her after living in the city for a while now.

Instead she’s a pawn and has to be married to guys who really dont deserve her. Camaflouging blackmail as an option for choice is laughable. But ITV is probably not ready to show a strong independent woman in the city living life on her terms without hitching her to a man neither of whom deserve her as a life partner.

That Maasi is a terror already, AC is going to look like a church mouse in comparison. The young girl is going to let Maasi do the dirty work of messing things up while she focuses on floating her boat with ASR.

His own relatives here to mess up his life. What goes around comes full circle and Imli will get caught in this web and remain mahaan.
