Another story M !🤗 WOHOOOOOOO. It's here you guys. Lol, you guys ka koi matlab nahi because I am actually the last one here I guess but still, the premises sound so different and boy, am I excited to see what you bring to the table next. Even though you mentioned that here the characters retain more of their original characteristics than Full Circle but I felt the opposite yk ? Maybe my mind works ulta or I haven't read/known enough about the characters to judge them so fast but I felt Aryan was a little more hardass or ahemm, my gutter mind thinks he might show some dominant traits later on. Him indulging his grandmother so slyly was typical ASR behavior though and I cheered a little on there ngl. I will be a honest okay, it's generally difficult for me to accept non cannonical characters so Aryan's ex and his dadi are at a questionable position already plus disregarding the bias, they aren't likeable characters as of yet so I am looking forward to how I react to them in the upcoming chapters. I initially remember trying to fit in Kim into the ImlieVerse but the way she became one of my favorite characters later on was ALL YOUR EXCELLENT WRITING. She was so endearing, strong and a character that exudes positive vibes. On that note, would like to see her once in Full Circle please 🥺 Only if it goes with the story ofc but I just miss her so much ahh. Anyway, I think I stepped beside the point, it's the way you bring every character to life. Be it the ones who we have seen on screen or the ones you conceived out if your thoughts, all of them have a quality. In the Full Circle, it was portrayed to be more of a redeeming quality but I think that even in all of your OS's and other pieces, it's that crackling distinctiveness of each character. It makes us an addict and we want to read more about them, be it an unsavory character from our point of view. But that crackling quality will surely draw you in and it's complete credit goes to tje way you write your characters. You just bring life into them, that human-ness and I am SO here for it. Ah there you go with my random musings, but yeah, that's all I wanted to say that I am looking forward to this journey, to be engrossed in your complex characters. Cheers to a new beginning and as usual, thank you for devoting your time to create amazing pieces for us and thanks for the tag as well.
An essay for an essay. 😆
Yes, creating new characters is indeed tricky, like you rightly pointed out, you want people to connect to them after all. Positively or negatively. Natalie is peripheral just like the Tripathis. But Dadi is front and center. Let’s see how she walks this walk with Aryan.
😳😳 You caught on, Aryan is not Michi michi at all in this AU. He knows what he wants and goes after it. He is cooler and less communicative which is natural given his bitterness from his relationship with Natalie. I hope to talk a little more about that as the story progresses to see why he became the way he is. I think it’s not a stretch of imagination for people to see and accept a dominant Aryan.
Comments on Imlie once the next chapter is released.
The other tricky part,I have realized, is making sure that the new people have a logical place in the story and add something to the overall element. I have a feeling though that this one will be much, much more centered on Aryan and Imlie. Haven’t decided what Cheeni is going to do in this story. You must have realized by now, I love writing kids.
One of my hopes too is to hear people’s thoughts, views on infertility, the idea of adoption, surrogacy. Things that are non traditional and still viewed with a degree of distrust. I love SundariP ‘s question above for that reason. A story is worth writing if it provokes the reader to think about a deeper issue. In full circle it is about the reality of death and our shyness to confront that possibility. What are the chances that you will develop diabetes? Maybe 10-90% based on lifestyle, genetics etc. Now what are the chances that you will die one day. 100%. No question about it, you started dying the minute you were born. You essentially are constantly changing bodies since the minute you were conceived. What I looked like when I was born is not how I look like today. The cells that I was born with retain the dna but not their physical form, no they are constantly dying and being replaced. It is those kinds of thoughts I wish to provoke in readers. Pondering the miracle that is life and learning to lose their fear of death. The compliments are an added bonus that reaffirm their interest and spur me to continue.
There is constant debate too about human interference in the process of conception and birth. Many ways to look at it. People use religion to point out that this interference is dangerous, unnatural, not what God intended. Well, why not talk about those things?
I am just as excited about this new SS, because it is a new world, not reflective of the show at all. I am constantly tempted to write more, but FC first. Likely, update FC this weekend. The next one has my heart ….I may have cried a little writing it. 😢
