So I have been quiet these last three episodes because they gave me enough Arylie, logically or not, to keep me occupied. But now I am back with some new observations.
1. Imlie might be bipolar. She switched between joyous chasing of Aryan around a fire (pheres, as someone said) and then wanted to break out of the hut for BS.
2. Turns out the new half-slice Aditya was right there by the hut, to drink from the breaking terra cotta pot, but managed to avoid all the pieces falling on him. Good for him. Ek face surgery already ho chuka, abhi toh new face nehi la sakte.
3. If Aditya was lying by the hut, I get that Imlie and Aryan missed him in the dark, but how did all the villagers miss him? Was he hiding behind the hut - having taken inspo from his wife, the pillar girl?
4. New Aditya looks about a slice of the old one in a few respects - height, weight, acting, and age. The CVs really didn't want anyone preferring him to Aryan. That's for sure. Sorry new guy, you have a hill to climb and it's never-ending.
5. Imlie doesn't need anyone defending her, including her dad, but she likes Aryan to box on her behalf. So which is it?
6. Speaking of which, Aryan can see the future! He knew exactly which villager was going to make a lunge for them before it happened. The Sherlock scene it is copied from doesn't have telepathy.
7. What happened to Sattyakam's gunddas? Everyone is abusing his whole family like he's nothing. How are these the people Mithi lived in peace with all these years? Weren't they apologetic after last time and catering to Adi? These villagers are bipolar as well, going between extremes with no thought. Apparently, Gul is trying to tackle villager stereotypes by super charging them to create drama for the new Adi intro.
8. Mob violence is no joke and the show needs to show these people getting a lesson rather than using it as a plot point. We all know what happened with mob violence at different gurudwadas and Delhi recently. The neighbor country also has horrendous cases. It is time the public is made aware that this is not cute and there are serious consequences for this kind of behavior whether they are in the city or the village.
9. Imlie was crying five minutes ago about "ma" having set her hopes on Imlie to complete her nanny duties and Aditya is also mad that she didn't fish him out in time. Can Rapini hire him a permanent babysitter so that everyone stops demanding free labor from the ex-wife? What kind of sickening expectation is this from all corners?
10. Imlie's mom is happy that Tripathis kept their relationship with her. For what? They don't even leave their home for their raja beta. What will they do for Imlie? They sent your daughter after terrorists to save their son, why are you happy that they use your daughter as free labor just like when she was a wife?
11. Blaming Imlie for it all from the villager's end was very telling of the festering cultural issues desis have been dealing with for long enough. Why did they not do better in showing Imlie deal with it? Why did the girl need a professional boxer and a half-slice Aditya to physically defend her? A girl needs more than big talk to defend herself. What happened to her CID brain after the lock break?
12. Now that Imlie knows that crying over Babusaheb was not worth it and she has given her bhashan, can she finally get over him and his loser family? If the Tripathis lose their home, it is not Imlie's responsibility (she can barely afford her PG) to care for them. Stop hanging on to all these actors. Show Nishant taking them to some foreign country. I don't want to see all those actors wasting screen space. It's enough that we are tolerating the new Aditya and Rapini. There needs to be new drama as Imlie moves on in life. Bring in new characters with actors who can act. None of the Tripathis can act!
