Yeah..I get your point. It didn't register in my head about the possibility of friend zoning. But what I wish to see is just the way Aryan searches or keeps checking on her, I want Imlie to do the same too. Hence I brought up the friendship angle. She isn't going to fall heads over heels or even acknowledge any shift in feelings for Aryan at the moment.

And which episode did she suggest the friends things to Aryan? I seem to have missed it. I haven't watched a single episode till now, only caught up with all the Arylie scenes 😂😂 All the tidbits of the show, I gathered from the forum. So my understanding of Imlie characterisation might be totally wrong 😂

After mirchi kaand they're watching some shadi footage in lappy and she's down says say something to distract me as we are friends... Dude totally balked and starts with mai-tumhara-boss-hu jaap..

Then actually distracts her with funny comment.

Oh she will come to care of him, maybe she already has but it's not apparent let, we'll see if this comes out in upcoming episode.

Responding to @Amy, @Chanchal as well, these guys are absolutely sure who they want to ship. But, they also have to manage viewers and TRPs, so they will skirt around AdiLie as long as AryLie doesn't settle in viewers minds. They will make AdiLie so unappealing that they will force people to jump ship and accept AryLie.

I know these people cannot be trusted at all. But, certain standard things they surely will keep standard - Imlie's righteous persona, Aditya's sociopathic tendencies, Malini's psychopathic behavior and Aryan's coconut persona.

Imlie may be emotionally vulnerable, but she isn't cheap, and they cannot afford to show her cheap, the show will die that day. Aditya's sociopath behavior will just get more amplified. Before he was antisocial, now its heavily moving on to sociopath behavior. Malini was always bordering on madness, which has effectively moved onto being a psychopath. However, I find Aditya more dangerous than Malini. He seems to compel people to turn to the darkest corners of their personality - Malini turned cuckoo, Imlie turned doormat, Aryan turned cold. Aryan will continue to tread along boundaries out of fear of feeling strongly for Imlie.

And I have also said that after a point he will let go. But Imlie will not let go and she will prove so by standing by him. First Aryan will anchor the equation, then Imlie will step in later and then both will anchor it together. Simply put, if you want to enjoy AryLie, you have to accept that there will be many push backs emotionally. Till both are on the same page retarding their feelings.

I have to agree with most of what you have to say! They will skirt around the couple for the sake of TRP's... and they will stay true to the tendencies of each character.

But Imlie is being a doormat FL. Yes emotions take time to deal with... but then actively deal with them instead of worrying about BS-jiju and pushing your mother twoards danger to 'save' that man. AKT does bring out the worst in everyone!

I think ASR's version of 'let go' would be not fanning his or her feelings for each other. He will stop trying to seek her out, but he will be a constant presence in her life. Imlie hopefully will stand by him.
