Okay I am back!

Firstly... what an episode! What a great and aryliecious start to the year

1. I will still maintain that Imlie's words mean nothing to me... her move on drama has happened twice before and seconds later she was running back to her babu saheb for no good reason. I can only hope this time she is determined and has set heart to actually moving on. I don't want another FL to become a door mat!

2. Someone please ask Aparna to get herself checked! She wants a 19 year old girl to be her 30 + year old sons rehab center. Why? and for what? "main imlie ko beti maanti hoon" are ultimately just words... that woman is soooooo infuriating!

3. I really hope Narmada doesn't become Aparna 2.0. I really want her to be everything Aparna wasn't to Imlie. While Aparna was just useless talk I want Narmada to be action

4. Congratulations to both Adi and Malini! They finally got what they deserve... each other 🥳 It is only a question of time till Malini learns that cheene se sirf cheez milti hai, insaan aur pyaar nahi. And Adi will learn what an arrogant, egoistic, misogynistic idiot he is!

5. Uffff Aryan was on fire like always! His words to Imlie were yet again prompting her to draw strength and courage from him. And he also wants to protect who she is while making her stronger!

Thoughts on today:

Aryan:

- Imleeay, don't cry

- *lurker mode activated*

- Imleeay, cry now. Here is cloth for your tears 🤣🤣🤣

Imlie:

- "My emotions!" Poor kid. But she is genuinely trying. Like Aryan said, this wedding was her toughest job. She went through hell and came out the other side. Her tears won't be wasted on just anyone and anything now. She won't allow Aditya any more of herself.

Arylie

- Imlie basically had a vidai scene with T family. Aparna crying like her daughter was leaving forever. Aryan's family there. And then Aryan shows up and says it's time to go. These two didn't get married, but this wedding brought them closer than it did the actual bride and groom.

- The way he pulls her close 🔥 🔥 🔥

- Imlie swearing never to cry over Aditya again and the camera refocuses on Aryan again - the two of them. It felt like a vow not just to sita maiya, but indirectly to Aryan as well.

- We've talked a lot about how societal expectations and gendered roles have shaped Aditya. But I'm finally understanding what effect it's had on Aryan. He lost a father figure and didn't shed a single tear because he had to be the "man of the house". My heart goes out to him. This connection between Aryan and Imlie is one that was forged in pain, but it's already transforming into one of healing.

It may be because I haven’t seen her flip several times but this time I feel like she’s actually set up to succeed in moving on. Everyone has slip ups every once in a while, but I think she’s now better positioned to handle herself when that happens.

Adi marrying M yesterday was the final straw there. Imlie would not overstep the relationship that he has now put between them. He very firmly made his decision and now Imlie is done.

She also had a support system around her now. She’s not alone in the city, she’s got the whole Rathore clan in her corner to provide her with all the strength she needs to move forward.

She’s got her mother to think about. The taunts that AC made today, they made her stop. She’s going to prove that lady wrong.

I don’t think she’s going to perfect in moving on, she’ll be human, but again, I do think she’s set up for success this time because they’ve built those tools for her, around her.

But it is ITV. Only time will tell.
