Honestly, and I probably shouldn’t speak on this as I was more a casual viewer of Balika Vadhu but I do see some parallels here. I think someone mentioned Aryan having the potential to be Shiv 2.0 and that’s what I see here.

Whatever Adi and Imlie had is done. It’s broken beyond repair. They’re two people that should never have been together, but it doesn’t mean that their time together hasn’t taught them some valuable lessons. This also doesn’t mean that in the future they can’t find a way to become friends, come to a mutual understanding. They’ll just be moving on in life with different partners.

I feel like the way they came together and what was done to make them acceptable left a sour taste. Each person, more so Imlie for Adi, were invaluable. Imlie added color and emotions outside of righteous indignation to Adi’s life; whereas Adi helped Imlie experience her first sense of mature emotion and heartbreak. The unfortunate part for Imlie is that her break up was complicated by the fact that Adi was her hubby and not her bf

It would be nice if AdiLie could progress forward into the future as amicable exes BUT I feel like Adi has a lot of personality flaws to fix. As for Aryan, if he’s in the picture, I see him somewhat skeptical of the friendship but not interfering as long as Imlie has learned to not sway accordingly to someone else’s moods and emotions.

Oh definitely lots of growth to do before either can be amicable and on friendly terms. One of the biggest things to overcome would be Adi’s fragile ego alone. The man needs to learn to take responsibility for his actions and recognize his own role in the events that have played out instead of blaming everyone else for his woes.

I’ve only read write ups and seen a few clips of Aditya and Imlie but I don’t know that I ever would’ve been super interested even if I had watched from the beginning. The power dynamics there seem really icky to me - and I get age is just a number but you can’t tell me that it didn’t play a role here in how Adi treats her. I talked a few days ago about how his decision to side with Malini is rooted in unconscious bias as well - Imlie is young, inexperienced, hasn’t seen much of the world. Malini is his old friend, she’s older, more educated, more experienced, etc. so of course she would speak more sense than Imlie.

Aryan and Imlie’s dynamic is completely different. And I think this is a great opportunity for her to learn what a healthy friendship, relationship looks like, but eventually what true love is as well. Aryan is a man confident in his own self, in his own convictions and capabilities, that he doesn’t need to have this power over a young girl. He wants to lift her up, he wants her to put herself first, because she never has. Yes, I’m excited about their love story, but I’m more excited for Imlie’s journey away from the toxicity of Aditya.

Aryan cannot suffer any heartbreak, because he doesn't feel that way. He is obsessed with protecting Imlie, because he sees her as Aditya's victim, not because he has feelings for her. So relax.

The Rathore family scene was to emphasize that he needs to take his stern approach a notch down for what is upcoming for Imlie.

Aryan is not aware of what color his overprotective nature is taking for Imlie. But yes, he won't be heartbroken. Mentally note kiya hoga Arpita ke insight ko, uske baad he will manage Imlie in his own way.

And the message deletion will be lost for now fellas.

Btw, thanks behenas, skipping the episode entirely today.

Super late in replying to this but saw I was tagged and was thinking about it.

If we’re talking PG - family friendly punishments - she’d pick for him to completely be forced out of his comfort zone. He’s always cool, calm, and collected - so what’s going to force him out of that? Something fun to do might be take the day off and go to a theme park or something, eat all the bad food, and not think about work at all.

Another one is challenging him to not be able to say no to her all day. So she’d put him in all these uncomfortable situations at work and he’d have no choice but to say yes. Or even before leaving for work - she notices him in his usual suits for work and is like - today I feel like you should really dress more comfortably and pulls out a kurta or a more casual outfit he would never wear to work lol. At work, during a meeting she’d make some ridiculous (but still good) suggestion in front of a client that Aryan would never agree to and he’s about to, but then she gives him that look and he has to change tact and be like “yes, great idea..” lol

This was fun to think about! Thanks Pooja!!

Very close to what I've been thinking (and as telly named)

Halka sa push out of his comfort zone❤️

I found that to be very cute. He is hard on her, but also somehow very soft.

She has been so vulnerable in front of him. He values that and probably understands that she wouldn't want anyone else to see her like that. So he only trusts himself to be around her.
