Imlie's (& Others) 5 stages of grief😭🥺Point to be noted: These can go in any order

- Denial: Check

Imlie in denial that Adi-Malini will not happen, that the A represents Aditya, that he is her destiny, that he loves her .. okay her denial list is too long I don't have the patience for her denial (only makers know these things, we are just speculating and hoping with all our might that Aryan is the all mighty saviour for our Imliya)

Aparna is in denial regarding the divorce papers, that her son is the world's biggest jacka**, that Imlie will only love Adi, and that God will give her son sadhbudhi 😆 (woh toh apni buddhi ko Malini ke hawale kar chuka hain, toh agar usse koi wapas kar sakta hain toh woh hain malini aur yeh toh hone se raha aparna😆)

- Anger: Check

Imlie ne toh apne ghusse ki fire main thoda sa anger nikal diya mehndi ceremony main, shayad aur nikal na baaki hain Acceptance ki raha pe chalne keliye

Aryan toh kab se uss par anger nikal raha hain 😈- passive-aggressively of course for his BIL and now for Imlie. Aage toh bohot nikale ga 😈

- Depression : Check

(Now people this depression is not clinical depression so please don't throw chappals my way, this is purely for the show and not the clinical depression that people face in real life)

Me - after watching Imlie today and her hope for Adi 😭

Imlie has been in depression since the show started and is still in depression. That poor girl has seen so much from forced marriage to marriage of her husband, being shot and bitten by a snake, family's hate, Adi's assault by malini, mockery in court, Adi's distrust, questions being raised in front of the public about her character, divorce, Adi's marriage again, and constant insult. 😭😭 WTF!!! itna kaun sehta hain yaar? I understand that he was your husband and you were socially dictated to love him, care for him and even die for him but seriously now it's enough. Please, makers show something progressive in this drama and not the same old ghisa pita nonsense of "pyaar ek baar hota hain aur shaadi bhi ek baar hoti hain" (kuch kuch hota hain reference LOL😃)

Tripathi's- these people have this weird mentality about happiness. They only want Imlie in the house because she made them happy and that's it. But when it comes to her life, her self-respect and her izzat sab patli gali pakad ke bhaag jate hain🤬. So now that she is not in your lives you guys are all a depressed bunch of idiots, I mean how the hell were you people happy before Imlie came?

Narmada the poor soul is truly sad for her kids. It's not like she hasn't tried to make her kids happy, she has done her best for her them and still is with or without Imlie 😊👍🏼🤗(unlike the Tripathi's who just mope around all day hoping for Imlie to come and bring happiness with her 😡). I really wish that she gets Imlie as her bahu forever, as she truly deserves to have her in her life because she won't be dependent on her to bring happiness to their lives and in fact, she will be the one to bring happiness back in Imlie's life❤️.

- Bargaining: Currently underway

Aparna has started already- "Bring Imlie back into Adi's life jaap)

Imlie - still not on that path yet

Other Tripathi's - they have lost hope 👍🏼👍🏼

- Acceptance: Check for some and Not applicable for some

Senior Tripathi has short stops at other stages but knew that it's best to get to this stage asap.

Rupi and Nishi are kinda inching towards this stage.

Imlie will take her sweet time entering this stage- man it's going to be a taxing ride for Arylie fans until she finally accepts 😕

Now back to the episode - Filler episode IMO

Maker's really don't want to lose their viewers that is why they have their feet in both boats. Literally, they are showing candy to both FD to lure them into their haunted house 😈. Ab dekhna yeh hain ki kaunsi nayya pehle doobti hain? If Gul wants to show something different and something that seems sensible then I really hope that she jumps aboard the Arylie ship-supersonic train- airplane-rocket-spaceship whichever fast transportation she can find.

Aryan's "Shit" main palta kyun? was so damn cutteee but it also made me sad cause I didn't want to see him heartbroken later on🥺. Plus, he looked hurt when Imlie kept wanting to go back to Adi. He is right that he has given her a lot of pain and that she still had her life ahead of her. This whole scene got me thinking - could he possibly marry her to stop her from going back to that hellhole Tripathi niwas?

Imlie's denial that Adi is in her destiny made me want to throw something at her. But it made sense since she is heartbroken and all that. Hopefully, you will have a good transition through this tragic event. Breakups are not easy for sure and especially those that were bound by marriage so it will be hard for her for the time being. One definitely needs someone to get through this and Aryan has demonstrated many times that he can be the one person who can be her pillar of support.

Aparna that paltu chand is so annoying to watch. So no more comments on her.

Haha - Haldi, mehndi, pyaar mohaubat wali bate for those who are getting married -- lol okay beta, woh bhi ho jayega (abhi nahi toh maybe soon).

Precap: AC is so clever 🤣using a knife to cut her kurta while there are bazillion cameras in the house recording the event. Adi's attempt to hold a parayee aurat (besharam kamine, woh ab teri kuch nahi lagti); Aryan's pull to protect Imlie (uff they are so close to each other - please fire department ko bula ke rakho monday ko aag lagne waali hain❤️🤗).

Like you all mentioned two things can happen 1) Thappad or 2) Jaaniya;

Mujhe jaaniya ke chances zyada lag rahe hain. I mean how can you not feel his hand tugging at your kurta and preventing it from falling. Imlie koi rash decision na le toh accha warna Aru ke gaal par chata achha nahi lagega.

Last thought of the day: Maybe I am thinking way too much, but do you guys think the Gunddas would make an appearance at the wedding with guns, knives, and talvaars? I was thinking that if they do then maybe there would a scene where Aryan and Imlie are seen fighting them like a couple of bada***s and then Imlie is about to get hit by a talvaar 😆and Aryan stops it with this hand and the whole Blood wala sindoor scene occurs 🤣🤣🤣. Aryan also would pay off the loan to the gunddas and either take the property papers or return it to the T's on Imlie's insistence?

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

Relationships are such subjective experiences which can lead the couple, themselves, to have own individual opinion of their union; outsiders and third parties will have their set of opinions and advice for said couple BUT can’t it be possible that people fall out of love or drift apart? Even if nothing major happened, don’t these individuals have the right to recognize that their experience together has ended or served a purpose. Marriages, as Imlie has cried her throat hoarse, are made from more than just love. When any aspect has run it’s course it’s only natural that a fissure between 2 people will happen.

so I wonder why isn’t it acceptable for couples to part even if something earth shattering hasn’t happened? (In Imlie’s case too much shit has happened). Although, personally, I think if those in a relationship objectively see themselves as caged and suffering && stick to it then that is an act of harm to oneself.

Also, if one is newly single, divorced, widowed then why is it unacceptable for them to love again? I’ve even seen this in fan reaction to Anupamaa saying that she’s a divorced mother of three —- why is she allowing herself to give Anuj a chance. Why must a female character in many of these shows be advised by FANS that they should stick with their dumb, abusive, weak, self-involved MLs? Would we want this in our own lives?

ACK WROTE TOO MUCH AGAIN 😆

i love all your posts about these thought provoking subjects and i always nod my head in yes reading those and same is this one.

i am not sure from which country you belong but in india... Females never allowed to exercise their "right to Choose"... like from the childhood they are treated same

"ye mat karo,

aise mat baihto,

raat se pahle ghar aao,

us se dosti mat karo,

kam khao moti ho jaogi,

cream lagao gori lagogi,

tej mat bolo.. cause ladkiyo ko dheere seere rahna chahiye,

ghar ke kaam seekho.. shaadi ke baad wahi kaam ata hai,

bado se jaban mata ladao..pati shar se nikal dega,

ladkiyo ko dusro ke liye jeena sekhna chahiye,

...etc etc etc this list is not limited to these...

so majority of those submissive female grown up as adults who dont even know if they have right to live this life as their own. And this society expects them to be THAT way only... a lady living this life for her husband, her kids, her in laws, her kid's kids"

so when someone like Anupama's character breaks that societal pressure/expectation people just cant digest... as in we tried so hard to keep such females under control and she had audacity to think about her happiness, live for herself... and thats the whole chaos.

and it will remain until more and more girls come out and can fight for their happiness, their life, mostly Their Right to Choose themselves over the world they have around them.

and thanks for sharing such wonderful post.

this reminds me that Aryan has provided Imlie with security and stability. He supports her silently while protecting her dignity. She doesn’t need him to do it but she appreciates his solidarity.

It’s such a parallel from every time Adi is in trouble and Imlie saves his butt. Yes, half the time it’s done to show, iTV style, how amazing Imlie is and like a force of nature BUT wether it was “dil se” moment in PD, Adi buried alive, or even a,most caught during a beat - she has single handedly saved him. Yes, when she is in trouble she still saves herself by creating a situation for someone to aid her. For instance, in both the kidnapping tracks ( when she first came to the city and when AC was selling her to a daku rani) Imlie was able to recognize a dangerous situation, save others and save herself by leaving breadcrumbs and clues. Adi does stand by her but he can’t provide her security. If he could solidly stand side-by-side her then she wouldn’t have suffered as much as she has.

for once in Imlie’s life there is someone similar to satyakam who knows how to watch her evolve and strengthen and guide her to be her best self

This is a very complex conversation - although it shouldn’t be. We live in a colonial, patriarchal society. Men by default have privilege to do what they want when they want without the same repercussions as women.

Women are held to a very different standard then men in many instances and they’re almost always held as the responsible party when something negative happens. They’re the ones that should compromise, they’re the ones that should put their feelings aside for the greater good. Log kya kehin gay is more applicable to women than men, but it’s also the reason why people stay in marriages/relationships they shouldn’t. The stigma and societal pressure (which is ridiculous) is much stronger than their well-being - or so their told.

That’s what frustrates me about ITV. The expectation is as a woman you just accept that a man may treat you like crap, but you’ll just forgive them. If that type of behaviour is normalized - which is what ITV does - then people unconsciously develop the idea that that’s just how it is and you get instances like people siding with an abusive partner and bashing the female. Let’s be honest, it’s also kind of shallow sometimes.

But to get back to my point - I think I’m trying to make one here… - representation matters, and when you have a TV industry (and let’s face it a film industry) where female voices are constantly silenced this imbalance says something to the people watching it.

Why can a girl touch male in friendly way....even in my country this situation occurs... It is severe here.. Even u cant take a selfie alone with your male frnds.. My parents dont care what I do.. But when I share some pics of my frnd on FB... The relatives is like unmarried girl...and taking photos with boys cant be friends with boys...it sometimes sucks....I dont know why people’s cant have progressive thinking like my parents.....
