I am beginning to think that Aditya is not going to object to Imlie and Aryan's camaraderie. In fact I feel he is going to be in the sacrifice mode because as he himself said he wants to see her happy. Also he is not going to give up Malini too because of baby. So there is nothing he can offer to Imlie even if he loves her a lot. I think he will just sidestep from Imlie's life if she wants to move on in life with or without Aryan.

Even I thought this angle too. Adi is slightly selfish when it comes to Imlie.May be if he is made to believe that Imlie is truly happy with Aryan then ur theory will come true. For him Imlie’s happiness is foremost.

matlab aisa bhi nahi hain ki he's a different person. iska jo adjectives hain jisse hum describe karte hain they're still there.. but track ke hisaab se they'll keep adding and removing some.

Ex: he's still a gentleman, he is still selfish, he's still hiding from reality, but he used to doubt M based on her behaviour after PD3 - now there is not a grain of doubt - even after Imlie's claims.

Uss track mein he needed to doubt her and yell at her to push her away. Iss track mein he needs to trust M to push Imlie away. Baaki contradictions we all know.

Two similar situation and difference in his reactions

1.) He was married at gun point --> Forced event (Person Involved: Imlie)

He was raped under influence of nasha --> Forced Event (Person Involved: Malini)

2.) Was it Imlie's fault --> No

Was It Malini's fault --> Yes but for his sake lets say no.

3.) Did it break the promise he made to his partner --> Yes

Did it break the promise he made to his partner --> Yes

4.) Was he comfortable to visit the place where he was forced to break the promise with the person involved --> Hell, No

4.) What did he do --> Pushed back Imlie in every way possible because she reminded him of his failure, got married to Malini

What did he do --> Expected Imlie to understand the situation with zero effort from his side and having tea/Noodles with Malini in the very room where he was assaulted, listening to Malini's bakwas about Imlie.

Then we say that his core character is same.
