AKT has never dealt with a problem head on. period. He has always been reactive. Even when PD3 happen, he let Imlie go, despite the fact that he wanted her to stay but never had the proper guts to face the why?! So two days later AKT landed in PD without even telling anyone because the man just follows one train of thought. He again left PD because he had no answers for Imlie's questions on what terms and with what status just she come along with him! Cut 2 delhi- he just wanted to tell the truth to Malini no matter her weak condition or not. But then Imlie landed and things again got complicated because Imlie vachan 1.0. But that also was not enough to push things through, he was way too much in love with Imlie and he knew he could not keep up with this farce of a relationship with Malini. All that while we just saw "sach batana hai" again, one track mind! Batana hai but when has his mind ever though of repercussions? I can go on with how this man is reactive only, but point being, the deletion of the video was another of those impulsive acts so as to not hurt the baby. The dude who went on to marry Malini because she could not bear to hear the truth of the his marriage to Imlie. Was it right?Oh hell no. I threw every gali I knew at him. But did it lead us to believe in any way that he is doing this for Malini, no! Have the makers at any point shown that AKT is even looking, talking or trying to do any thing constructive for Malini. He even suggested to send Nishu with Malini for dahi bhalle and jee le zara drive...Having said that when he says he is doing that for the baby, no where till date has his said my baby. And that it self shows, how he is doing this out of a forced obligation and nothing else. Right now also, he is being reactive...delete toh kar diya...but did he think about the aftermath and how it would affect Imlie, ofcourse not! So now he is doing damage control like he always does.

Now coming to the expressions, the ambiguity and the very fact that AKT could not have lost his marbles...I want to believe there is more to this, I do. Hell he has to know there is more to this when SK told him that some lady called him, since that day...but then why is there no reaction or even a bit of monologue. Another thing I found interesting was, out side the court, he tells Imlie not to give up on their relationship, even though he knows how badly she is hurt, and has always given her the right to make a decision, so then why? The writing, the scene so off. My biggest complain was that entire college mess. And have repeatedly said so in my posts- AKT doing nothing about it was ridiculous. period. Is there more it..I dunno...but the writers freaking messed that up terribly. So are we reading too much into all of this because we want to and AKT being so murky is just unbelievable?!

My point is simple, if this is all adding up to where Imlie leaves because AKT is confused and is not able to figure out...then they have exaggerated it all to beyond a limit now...there have been so many instances till date that should have made her leave by now...are they just waiting for the next week...maybe this entire stretch was to strike it at the right time..But then what does that give us? AKT being reactive and now doing the all the right things...pleaseee can the next week then just be here!

All said and done, I do want to give a benefit of doubt to AKT. He is a phoenix of sorts...so I want to hope that is where we are heading...after all if Imlie is his anchor Akt is her sail..and that is how they have always balanced each other out...so if Imlie fought through this, AKT really needs to do his part...which will be cleaning the mess!

This only shows how difficult it is to hate a gadha like AKT. He is single minded and all and earlier that caused gap between Malini and him so we were happy about it. Now same thing is causing gap between Adi and Imlie so we are not liking it.

All said and done, it is quite adorable the way he keeps approaching Imlie.

Chinta you read too much in between the scenes … firstly when DD called he should had informed Imlie as a courtesy and gone… he knew she had lost her dream of studies for him yet he went with the proof to DD to show her tht this u will see in court don’t b shocked and he had the capacity to shock Imlie by deleting the clip bechara KC peh logo neh doubt liya … wah bhai wah … doh aasu tapkane Se galat sahi aur sahi galat nahi hota … sach sach hota hain suraj KI tarah kaha gaya woh Adi …uske aatmasaman KI dajiya udh gayi thi forced marriage se … so he was inhuman towards Imlie tht he called her Mithi during the ring trying event … now kaha gaya uska aatmasaman bech aaya .. tht he is friendly with his own rapist … in forced marriage it was no ones will here it is not only his will .. where is his faith tht he showed when Imlie just nodded no and he understood she was telling truth in front of Prakash .. here she is continues to tell him loud and clear tht DD said this she saw DD mixing something yet he is turning blind … proof or no proof he hasn’t shown faith in Imlie he was annoyed of her DD jaap and suddenly when Imlie started telling he thought she is cooking up things … this how sometimes elders don’t believe / ignore a child and tht child is traumatized and is taken advantage .

Sorry I understand it is for positives only … but I cannot justify his behavior… he had doubt On AC abt Imlie’s kidnapping did he pursue tht … or tht is also let go for baby sake.

Like you mentioned, him saying don't give up was also a trigger to me. Adding to that was bura hi sahi par pati haina.. lol he can't admit that he won't do anything for her anymore. Bcuz the previous was imlie claiming he's not trusting her, giving saath and not fighting for her. Adi can never not do those according to him though he did all of those unknowingly.

His each stupid action n dialogues are making me more confident 🤣

Dreamer ji all your points are valid. Issi points ko we are trying to justify from AKT's pov.. the AKT we know.. in his own words, "koi insaan itna nahi badalsakta" so we're just hoping ye bhi itna badlaa nahi hai.

Disclaimer: This could either be fan fiction or reality. It depends completely on the writers. And I want to believe it's the latter. The reason being the writers are professionals and it is their job. They can't be as dumb as butchering the ML's character in the show. Okay, these are my thoughts on Adi's behavior these days after him watching the video. I've gathered them after reading some of your views and much thought.

The moment Adi watched the video, he said "koi insaan itna nahi badalsakta" meaning he accepted that she was like this all along. He also said "jhoot pe jhoot, jhoot pe jhoot bolti rahi, sirf tum sach lekiye ladrahi thi" and said to Imlie that he didn't give her his saath, and if he had believed her at the beginning itself, things wouldn't have come this far. He said he's ashamed

Now, considering Adi's character, when he feels ashamed of his behavior, he will not rest until he fixes things ruined by him. He was shattered after watching the video, he instantly believed everything Imlie said from day 1. And he confessed the same in front of the whole family that only Imlie was right from day one. Note that he did not only believe the claim that M drugged him and wore Imlie's saree but also everything that Imlie kept saying from the day he brought M home. Now he is ready to get Malini punished.

When Imlie told him that he can't lose this fight, he said "what is the use of winning it when I lost so much?" He didn't care about winning/losing the case. But Imlie wanted Malini to get punished, so he agreed. But after Malini said she's pregnant, he still argued with AC that he's watched the recording of whatever happened that night. But AC said she drugged Malini too. Did he buy it? How could he when Imlie is clear that Malini wasn't drugged based on the video? He sure is smarter than Imlie in discerning such circumstances. So we're still not sure.

Going by his own words, now we know that Adi knows Malini was wrong from day 1. He now knows for sure that Malini loves him. So it makes sense that he didn't question Malini about the previous incidents.

Now Adi's goal should be to get rid of that woman and throw her away from Imlie especially but in came the pregnancy. That put brakes on his decision to punish her. One thing to be noted is that he never argued after watching the video that it was AC, not MC that drugged them. He said he couldn't send her to jail. If he believed that AC did it, he would've said that MC is not the culprit. But he didn't. He only said AC is admitting to the crime and she can do anything to spoil our life(more like she's not going to let us win this case & a baby is involved here). So he only said that he did it for the kid. And he never spoke to Malini after that. It was only during Imlie's kidnap and her cravings day that he responded to her.

Coming back to the pregnancy claim. Did Adi buy it? There could be two things,

1. He did believe that Malini is pregnant(but we don't know if he thinks it was consensual or rape) and took full responsibility for the upcoming child.

2. He's doubtful about the claim but gave her the benefit of doubt and took responsibility for the baby.

Either way, he knows that he has to kick her out of their lives but the baby/the possibility is stopping him.

Adi was never about material things. He always wanted to give Imlie all that is her's and all that she deserves. This was shown during her birthday and also during her exam result day. He gave her no material gift but only the things she deserved. He was on this mission since truth revelation and he should continue to do the same now. So, his focus shifted to doing whatever he should for the baby and getting rid of Malini so that he can give Imlie all that she deserves.

But why is he entertaining Malini when he knows her intentions? He could've easily understood that she is involved in the kidnap and that she was misleading him about Imlie coming back from college. Why is he sitting at the dining table with her? The only explanation for this is that he probably understood the mental state of Malini and knows that she could harm the baby if she doesn't get what she wants. This is a serious concern for Adi. So, he had to entertain her, and hence the long drive. Also, he knew that Imlie can take care of herself. So, he wasn't concerned as much. But even then he wanted to know if she returned but he noticed Malini stopping him. He could've asked her to wait a minute but the way she stopped him was by acting as if she choked on something. Again, he probably knows her mental state and couldn't risk the baby here, so he didn't make the call. Even when Imlie returned, he asked her about the debate. This felt very fake to me. Why would he care about anything when his wife was almost kidnapped again? Again, the only way to make sense of this is that Malini was right there listening to their conversation. Any question asked by Adi would immediately expose Malini. He was not ready to do that hence the question of the debate. Also, he never took Imlie out on a date earlier except the chai date where he gifted her the sketch which was incidental. Though he always wanted to spend time with Imlie, he never asked her to go out with him on a date. This time, he did and also stressed that he wants no other person with them. He also told her the next day that he wants to talk to her about something and that's the reason this date was so important to him. He didn't say him wanting to spend time with her was the reason.

Even before that, why didn't he do anything about her college? Or did he? Did he ask KC to send a notice? How would KC know otherwise that Imlie is suspended? Imlie could've told him. But why did he not react much, not even get up from the table? He probably knew Malini was the reason for Imlie's suspension by then and didn't want to provoke her into doing something more dangerous to Imlie.

And today about the puja, he could've easily rejected AC's request and told Malini that he's sorry and is not interested in the puja as she already knows he's not into these rituals. But he stayed silent and looked at Imlie just like he did the other day letting her decide if Malini will stay here or not. Both times, he knows what Imlie's answer is going to be and that's the reason he let her decide.

In today's car scene, Adi was observing Malini while NN pushed her back. The guy who rarely looks at M was staring at her. And he was doing the same after she got it and then asked her about the reports. Why did he care to ask her who called? And he had a weird expression after that.

I know we can't trust his expressions but this is after he watched the video. Even before that, I'd say that his expressions were justified when he told Imlie that he trusted M more than himself. So, his doubts were real but his trust in her was stronger.

If my theory is right, Adi is not going to react much tomorrow too. Because he's looking at the bigger picture right now. He cannot afford to risk it with these comparatively minor issues.

The only thing that is still bugging me is that he deleted the video without consulting Imlie. Why did he not talk to her about the issue and ask her for help? The only convincing reason I could find is that he knows how impulsive Imlie is and how she wanted that video to play in the court. He probably had no time to convince her before the court session and did not find the chance to explain to her after that, hence the desperation for the lunch date.

PS: I am in no way justifying this track. I hate this to the core. I'm just trying to make sense of AKT. No other character has been butchered in the show. Everyone is the same to me. Even the Ts, were all lovey-dovey with Imlie but were ever ready to sacrifice her at the alter of Malini just because she was their naukrani. AC, DC & MC are the same. Meethi was always a doormat to those who abused her. Be it Nani or AC. She never cared unless it is about her daughter. So, SK and Meethi too are the same. So why will only AKT's character be ruined?

Thanks CP for the tag and the post. Going to post my thoughts mainly coz I have been reading up on everyone's reactions to the current track and wanted to share my 2 cents.

Something about what FF mentioned struck me about the characters in the last 300 epis. As each 100 epis was built towards a character's realization - first 100 with Adi, next 100 with Imlie and now this last 100 with Malini, surprisingly each 100 also has a character in denial and acting completely out of character. The first 100 had Malini doubting Adi and Imlie multiple times, even shown proof during the bridge rescue of Adi choosing Imlie over her, yet she never confronted Adi or Imlie about it till she was told the truth. She never tried to confirm her suspicions and was happily playing ostrich to everything happening around her as she did not want to rock her relationship with Adi, though she could understand there were cracks forming and Adi was behaving completely different from what she had seen him be for the 7 years she was with him.

The next hundred had Imlie's realization, but also Imlie being the ostrich. She refused to see Adi's feelings for the longest time and could not get out of doing Malini jaap, which was not warranted for in anyway. Imlie refused to probe Malini despite knowing that she still had feelings for Adi, and even though had doubts about MC's relationship with KC, was fine to belive it because the people she trusted the most - Adi and Malini convinced of the same. Imlie went through a lot of denial (for very valid reasons) before she could allow herself to finally accept her relationship with Adi in the mist complete way possible.

And now these 100 episodes are dedicated to making out usually smart and intelligent patrakar to be as dumb and blind as the ostrich sticking his head in the sand. The reason being that right now facing his suspicions and actually confronting Malini can have adverse effects on the baby that is on the way - whether he wants to baby or not, the fact is that he is been told that he is the father, and his family and Imlie expect him to fulfill that responsibility. He is worried that of he does not do what Malini wants, that she may do something that can be dangerous for the baby and the blame again may be in him. Adi is petrified of confronting Malini, as everytime he has done so, he has been either cross accused or given such an excuse that he cannot argue against. While I am in 2 minds to believe that Adi is doing more than what is been shown to us (he may have, but the makers are also in 2 minds whether to achanak show that to us one day, or keep him like this for drama) I still am able to reconcile with why he is acting the way he is based on him being completely manipulated by Malini all these years, that Imlie is slowly reversing. Thoda aur waqt lagega, but well him bhi yahin hai aur yeh bhi yahaan hai - let's see how they pan this out.
