While imlie holds onto every little detail value every little thing he has ever done for her even if it is not at all "romantic" in the mainstream sense like she just got Happy ke he remembers her baatein notices her or her saying he fought for her samaan remembering woh mall incident.. and malini ke liye jitna kar lo kam hi padta hai🤔

I guess they are trying to show Malini as one of those people who don't intend to be manipulative but phir bhi end up doing a lot of manipulative things.

She is also a nice person basically but jab usko apni standing threatened lagti hai, she dials up the subtly manipulative tactics to get attention and sympathy.....regular log I guess yeh bahut mild level pe karte hain jab unhein kisi se attention chahiye hoti hai....that general human need to connect. But in Malini's case, it seems like she hasn't realized when it crossed over into calculative tactics for attention and sympathy subconsciously and became a basic part of her personality. She is so sweet and nice to everyone in general ki I guess koi sochna bhi nahin chahta that she may be doing something out of a need to get more attention and sympathy. And again, I don't think she INTENDS to be deliberately dishonest or manipulative....but her actions are becoming in that zone only.

See, even Adi has done some pretty twisted things in his denial about Imlie for so long.....but Malini ki twistedness feels more shady cuz she puts on a sweet facade for it. Adi's twistedness was all about using anger as a shield for his emotions.....it wasn't about trying to put on a bigger image of himself than he's actually feeling. While here with Malini, that fixation and need to show that she is good and nice even though that's not how she's feeling inside.....that is what's making it all worse.

I will have to recheck but I am pretty sure saara family saath gaya tha shopping pe imlie samet and she did witness this part from kisi kona.. toh it takes us back to point A ke usko hurt karna tha dikhana tha toh extra cheese added lol and malini didi thinks it was sach🤣

No she always prefers to run away, because she does not have the guts or the strength to face the truth. She presents herself as Mahaan because she has forgiven Adi's mistake, gets the required quota of pampering & adulation for this mahanta, but then she holds grudges & likes to publically humiliate him at the next available opportunity😡.

This has happened many times before & has become an abusive pattern. But because of her mahaan image, no one is able to detect this. In fact she comes out looking like a benevolent victim who has forgiven Adi despite his wrongs😡.

I agree to all of this and i think yehi baat isko abhi thoda sa bacha rahi hai in the sense ke one can laugh at her delusions and manipulativeness despite it being annoying and so glaring ke yeh intent se nahi karti iski basic personality ka part hai.. matlab she isn't going in her head ke ab let me try to be extra extra sweet while I hold a grudge inside to tabah barabad karo etc like typical vamps or manipulative characters.. the fact that she herself is so anjaan ke this is part of her personality saves her from becoming loathed or hated character.. yeah we can be super annoyed and irritated but then she does manage to swim across caz of her genuine emotions at other times even if we may not find them reasonable all the time.. her need for validation is a constant and her mother is reason for it.. waise isn't it interesting to you all ke she decided to came back also to rebel against her mom😆 as she said ke nahi jaayegi toh jaayegi malini. She is In a constant competition with AC which only makes things worse and make her take calls that are to put her mom down and not for overall goodness of anybody koi sochti nahi hai.. and idk why she has to win over her mother and yeh unsaid competition hai kyon.. she thinks she needs to take a stand for adi but itne bakwaas tareeke se leti hai kuch sach lagta hi nahi hai.. but then maybe caz kuch sach hai hi nahi she does it caz world expects her to speak for her husband 🤔

@bold: I think that is definitely part of it.....along with the need to rebel against AC. Iski maa jo bhi bole, she has to push back against it for the sake of it😆. AC ne bola tum nahin jaaogi Adi ke saath toh Malini got triggered to say ki main jaaungi, MY choice😆

So she wants to be the polar opposite of her mom - which is also probably why she plays up the sweet/nice aspect in front of others....cuz her own mom always goes out of the way to bluntly demean others. Malini doesn't use that tactic but still manages to emotionally torture people in other ways😆

The writers have truly done the flip between the pyaar & zimmedari brilliantly. Kudos to them👏

Regarding Malini's maturity- She is very immature. More immature than even Adi who has been regularly been called out for his immaturity. She is just a pampered princess who wants to stay in her happily ever after with everyone fulfilling her every wish.

Word on her not valuing all the gestures & things that Adi does for her. I feel that she feels entitled to have these things from Adi for being with him. Adi chodo she doesn't even appreciate the good sasural people that she has jo iske itne nakhre uthate hai & take her side everytime over Adi. Agar kahi aur shaadi karti tab toh ye apne mayke hi chali jaati. Because she wants everything done in her own way- no difference in opinion is allowed.

Imlie is truly a sweetheart who appreciates any small genuine gestures that anyone does. She doesn't crave for any materialistic things anyways so that is all bekaar for her like the chain given by the Chaturvedis. But she will heartily get happy over a small gesture like being included in the family photo.
