I think Malini likes Adi's family but does not get their simplicity, their inherent good nature, who deal with issues in a mature manner, as a joint family with no rancor. Look at Rupali and how they are mindful of her situation at all times. They are troubled to see their daughter like that but supportive and loving at the same time.

Look at how they took to Imli and now treat her as one of their own. They are so protective of imli and vice versa. All this is foreign to Malini and can never understand the dynamics of a joint family. She has blocked her mind to the UGLY situation at home and may have retreated into lala land, where she is safe and protected at all times. Maybe that is her way of coping with tough situations. She never had a good example in her own home.

they will treat her the sameway but uske liye malini ko bhi connect karna padega na unke saath bina formal huye.. if you notice abhi bhi they all try to behave so much infront of malini.. they all get conscious when something involves malini instead of being themselves and enjoy something khulke like they can with imlie and as a family.. malini thinks ke usne bohat adjustment kar liye hain and ab bas ho gaya but did she really.. has she even tried to form a bond with a single person from adis's family ( excluding imlie and uske saath bhi she doesn't even know a thing abotu imlie as a person or uske saath kya kya actually ho chuka hai life main) sirf sasural ke zimmedari nahi hai na they try to make her comfortable on every level but malini ko bhi thoda toh try karna padega to get to know them as more then just some naam ke rishte ke yeh chacha hai yeh maa hai yeh bua hai types that is all she knows while imlie has a personal equation with all regardless of her rishta with adi

I don’t think he will try to make Malini jealous at this point for just one small fight. Adi in Malayalam did it towards the end when he thought Malini was divorcing him to marry someone else.

In Malayalam version ‘imli’ was treated badly by mostly everyone except may be badke kakka and Rupali. In that version Rupali was a negative character and liked only Imlie and hated Malini.

How about We leave the COMPARISONS to all others Versions Aside and watch Imlie as imlie and let the characters Play out.. what's with the constant aisa hua tha waise hua tha... if we have to watch teh other versions then imlie ki zaroorat hi kya hai.. pretty sure subtiltes exist.. how about not ruin the experience for others by constantly bring out Spoilers from Other versions if you have seen it good for you but let others enjoy:)0
