I have been a silent observer and been watching the show. I can see from most of the posts, they are quite harsh on Aditya, especially regarding Imlie.
So I put myself in Aditya shoes and looked from his perspective. I know we are trying to support Imlie and how Aditya should wake up, accept Imlie ect but I wonder, are we bias as an audience especially when it concerns the gender, are we more accepting of this type of story when it is the male who is from the 'good wealthy family' and when the girl is 'village poor type'.
Also, if it was the other way round, Aditya was female and Imlie was the village boy, would we have supported this marriage and root the couple on. Should the female Aditya accept her fate and accept the marriage to the village boy. Frankly not, regardless of gender, everyone has a right to decide their marriage partner and who they wish to marry, no one should be forced especially at gun point.
I like the jodie of Aditya and Imlie myself but this was injustice for Aditya.Whether he loves Malini or not (not going to go there over the 7 years engagement), Aditya was forced at gun point to marry Imlie. But poor Imlie is not at fault as well.
Imlie looks at Aditya as her husband but for Aditya, it was the worst moment of his life, I could not imagine what it would have felt to be married at gunpoint to someone you don't know while you have a fiancée waiting and woundering, whether you would be killed or not.
However, what Aditya did wrong was, when he took Imlie back with him, he should have told his family and Malini the truth. Regardless of how the marriage happened, while Imlie was still his wife, he should have not made her to be a servant.
Aditya is supposed to be educated, but you make stupid decisions like this. If he was honest at the beginning, we would not be at this stage. I am sure, eventually both families would have understood. Aditya, even if he does not wish to stay married to Imlie, he could have taken up responsibility, education ,help her settle in city life ect, instead he lies to everyone, hurts Imlie and makes his wife a maid.
PREDICTION: I do think the marriage will happen but Imlie parents will turn up so the truth about Aditya-Imlie marriage will come out and Imlie biological father being revealed.
Anyhow, there has been different versions of this storyline ending, I can’t predict how this story will go but the audience prefers Adiya/Imlie, so anything else would kill the ratings.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my thoughts on how we judge Aditya over the marriage. Aditya is innocent over the marriage but frankly, his behaviour with Imlie is disgusting, hurtful and he needs to stop blaming Imlie. She was not at fault and from the moment they got to the city, everything was on him. If Malini is his true love, if they have such a strong trustfull bond, then she would have understood Aditya circumstances, not blame him or Imlie but we will never know how this story would have turned out if Aditya was truthful in the beginning.
