Hmmm sush normally I agree wth most of ur thoughts. Strangely today u n I collide. I do not c any remnants of luv here. I believe Sahir wanted to prove his worth to zeenat and to himself. His aim was to show her what she has lost. Not in luv but in disgust.
Coming to Arzoo n Sahir ... As it goes
"Aye naye dost mai samjhon ga tujhay Bhi apna
Pehlay maazi ka koi zakhm tou bhar jaanay daay"
Sahir truly Luvs Arzoo and has been in luv for a long time. After what zeenat did to him, he cannot be sure of his own worth. Is he good enough for someone to claim that they would never leave him. Can it be true? What if he is not that rich tomorrow, will someone still luv him for what he is... I think the reserved attitude of Sahir had to do with self doubts n that is but natural after seeing ur self as nothing for so many years.
Sahir got hurt badly after luving zeenat. That was his real life luv interest. I know when normal humans go through breakups just in regular friendships... They get shaken up pretty badly. Not that they still luv their old best friend but one looses trust in fate and one's self for a long time.
Taking zeenat's name to me doesn't translate that he is partially still in luv with her... It just tells me that zeenat was part of his past and that no one can change. None of us can rewrite our past, we don't forget it ever but that doesn't mean we r in luv with our past. It can be dreadful too 🥺

I think the day Saahir will completely let go of Zeenat. Is when he stops thinking of the promise and material things period. Until he holds on to even the wrath and anger he has on her she still matters to him. Her opinion of him affects him.

Just want to mention that for Sahir to let go off Zeenat , he first needs to solve the puzzle named Zeenat .. there r many unanswered questions related to Zeenat which is bothering him for last 7 yrs and unless he finds those answers , Zeenat will keep haunting his memories in a negative way .. And the biggest puzzle about Zeenat is why did she marry him if she never wanted a poet or a shayar as her husband .. was her love fake then ? was there someone else in her life even before she married him ? so what was her main intention of marrying him ? I bet these r the questions which is haunting Sahir all this while and unless he finds the answers to this question , she will keep haunting him not because he still loves her but because these questions about her haunts his overall identity ..

And I m saying this based on the spoiler video I saw where Sahir is asking question to Anam about Zeenat ..

When people go through breakups, it is not easy to let go of the emotions that were connected. Personally, I have experienced heartbreaks and I know pretty sure that there is no future for me with that person. He still occupies my mind and cant get over him yet. That person has hurt me, still I have no hatred, just some kind of soft corner.

Yes sahir is not over yet with zeenat because she is puzzle to be solved why she was bored and wanted divorce is a puzzle to sahir and the promise was a big deal to him even now .
Zeenat might had some one in her life but seems like accident coma might have changed her life .
Zeenat spoilt brat she wants sahir because to play around but seeing him married and successful in work she wants him back and throw arzoo out wonder why she wants sahir she can always take the money which is hers and leave him alone .
Wish show get extension so that triangle story will be interesting .
Sahir till he completes the task and know zeenat puzzle he isn't over zeenat since it was love marriage too,
Poor arzoo might be heartbroken in this process her promise is no use she does it all the time but a crucial time she breaks it .
