At the start of this show, it was told that Humsafars is a unique story of two imperfect people who heal and complete each other. It was told that this show would NOT be ruled by TRP.
Not three months after that we see THIS. Story gone haywire, characters butchered, tracks senseless and wonder of wonders we are actually debating on WHO the male lead is. We are dreading the wedding of SaAz. We are dreading whenever SaAz come face to face on screen. God knows what she will say now. God knows what he will do now.
I am no JK Rowling. I totally accept that. I am an amateur writer who started her career barely two years ago. But I get really attached to the characters of the story when I am writing it. So I am really curious. What is driving the CVs to kill their own story with their own hands in just a ghastly fashion?
TRP?
Budget?
PH?
Channel?
What? Because there must be SOME reason for this absurdity no matter how stupid the reason is.
There is Zeenat if they needed a triangle. But they brought in Zaki. Why?
There is Sahir's past and Sarfaraz angle if they wanted tracks. But they brought in the deal and pregnancy, dragged it and dragged it and dragged until people don't even care how it ends just that it ends.
They showed a rape attempt -a highly sensitive issue for any woman and made a complete joke out of it.
It is supposed to be about healing. Not hurting. Loving. Not Hating.
And after all this what do they hope to achieve? Don't they feel bad even a little that they had brought such a fabulous potential-filled story down to THIS level? Do they even take time to sit and THINK of what they are doing? Or is everything just a business for them at the end of the day? Write something, get paid and go home. Have they become so jaded that they don't even realize what kind of message their story is sending out to the public?
I do not know what they have planned for the future. I do not know how they will bring SaAz back on track again. IF they even plan to do that. For all we know everything will be brushed under the carpet and we will get to see the SR out of blue.
But if they really show Arzoo the bride walking on coals of fire before her wedding, all I can say is the CVs will lose my respect. My respect for the fact that they created a character as beautiful as Sahir. A female lead as strong as Arzoo.
