Secrets - Jane Eyre Style

We've been wondering about Sahir's secret past. In a previous post I'd wondered if we're headed towards a Jane Eyre storyline with Sahir married, with a wife who's not really a wife (like Mrs Rochester) tucked away. Today, after the CVs flung some hot clues our way, clues so hot that they lit up the night sky my suspicion was confirmed. 😃 And so here's some free verse to celebrate.
After McPhee's loud and long soliloquy, and shake-sway, stealthy search for the boast that could burn love to toast came the race to save the truth from the blaze.
And amidst the flames, ended yet another game, between mummy and McPhee, as they forced us to see evidence of Sahir's folly, or another's foul-play, but of fate most certainly!
Again and again, a glow caught our gaze, not the blaze but glaze of the key to the maze that we'd tried to escape but wanly let slide as we stayed stuck inside.
Lo and behold, bright in the light, the bowl of her hands bedazzled our eyes with the glow of her bridal Mehendi.
Sahir's Wife Number One! Not a doubt but a cert!! Oh what hurt lies in wait for poor Arzoo when she finds out too late.
But where is the wife? Buried or alive? Or insane and in chains? Perhaps knocked out all these years, leaving Sahir in tears and his mum fearing for his life.
And the man wrapped in gloom, in the light of the moon, with his heart all aswoon by his side, drew the leaf from her eyes and then let himself sigh for the peace and surcease within reach.
But the clouds darted in and the dream began to thin as darkness rose again, so that burning up with pain, he fought against the chains, till the blood came aflooding from him.
So when he felt her gentle touch, of course it was too much, and he turned, all achurned and dragged her close all aroused, and then warned her to stay far away.
But the clues are all there, whilst she stays unaware, of the cocktail abrew poor Arzoo's being wooed by the mum to become Jane Eyre.

Thank you Shweta, 🤗 Delighted you enjoyed it.
So Arzoo's his forbidden love. That should add piquancy to the tale. 😃

Sabs ,

The screenplay has been poor ...Lalit and the actors are doing a fantastic job ...If only the screenplay and editing improves the show has potential ...😃

Jane Eyre style makes so much sense hope it is that. If anything his talks of love being pain and betrayal- all leads to Rochester's situation of being tricked into getting married to his first wife with mental health issues!

I also think that KurtiA had some connection to his first wife because she was in tears when she found out that Alvira burnt the pics and the tears were not all related to anger there was some hurt it felt like Rochester's wife's brother who messes up the wedding scene. We shall see...

yo sabs !
so according to your prediction we r all heading towards a grand revelation of a woman in the attic ?? tch tch, I thought sahir much above seducer, charmer and wife abuser. after reading wide sargasso sea, sabs, I somehow lost my adolescent attraction towards the irresistible and intense Mr. Rochester ...and here toh situation is worse. if the woman is indeed a 1st wife and in coma, then even the idea of feeling sexually or emotionally attraction towards an innocent and much young woman is loathing.
and taking advantage of nauseen's and arzoo's precarious and unstable situation and duping her into marrying an already married man to cure her dear son's heartburn will be unforgivable for alveera's part.

I think the age difference between Sahir and Arzoo is not like Rochester and Jane plus if Sahir like Rochester was tricked into this marriage (if there was a nikaah, next week we might find out they were engaged or something 😆) then agreed it is wrong on Alvira's part to hide it but not wrong for Sahir to feel for Arzoo -me thinks! 😊

Sabs!! You are back!
And with such a lovely post!

Well secrets or not I loved yesterday's episode I unabashedly admit😳.

Especially because that much discussed will he won't he would he shouldn't he kiss never happened...the thought didn't cross his mind even...yes he is attracted to her but his realization kicked in way before he could attempt to work on that attraction! And he moved away...and hurt himself!

Now that last was different from what heroes from this stable do..certainly! I hope it stays!

Indications are that he is married but I don't get why KA should beat around the bush so much in that case...I mean she has always warned that marriage will bring a storm into his life and all...but never once said..he has a wife! Either it's one of those things among many that was dne for pure drama or it's a hint that he isn't married anymore ! But the woman in his life probably still affects his life...maybe he feels responsible for her condition! Doesn't tie in with him saying love is pain and his obvious referral to betrayal and the fact that no one is always with you!

Too many clues to the secret past and no clue on how they tie together...except there is another woman involved!

I think we will know next week...atleast the basic truth...and then will start the actual story of Sahir and Arzoo!

Yesterday's episode made me feel good again about the show so I am looking forward to next week 😃

Hmm, the screenplay always makes a difference, but in this case I think the chemistry between the leads could be better. I don't know if it's deliberate in that Shivya has to play the innocent - the Rebecca or the Jane Eyre - and for that naivete to be possible, the innocence has to be almost tangible. And I think that restraint is kinda killing the potential of any smoulder. 😆
