So, this post was originally about how I didn't want Arzoo to get a make over because that's what always happens. (I started watching the show today). But anyways, I guess I was haste on making a topic after the first 5 episodes. It's such a god damn typical move. Hey a girl doesn't get accepted into a group of people until she walks talks looks and does everything like other people. Nope! she can't maintain her perspective on things because a woman that defies the norm get isolated, she gets hated on, is scrutinized until she gives up and walk on the path designed for her instead of walking on the path she designed by herself. That's just impossible. I'm so upset about this. And of course Sahir is seen as this macho dude whose temper and aggression is seen as vulnerability that only a woman's love or her kindness can change. Keep being nice so he's nice to you. If you stand your ground, it would tick him off. Same bs over and over and over again. I'm done.

I dont think its true in arzoo's case ... Sahir is the bad guy here agreed but arzoo has her set of faults too ... No one behaves like this in office, any boss would get ticked by what she has been doing let alone a khadoos like sahir. Its not about strength of women but what is right and wrong ... Yes we should never let our values go but that does not mean we r free to violate office rules and can tang arofy in any matter we wish. So far all the times arzoo has been insulted frankly she asked for it! And i dont think arzoo has at all been nice to sahir nor i feel her being nice to him would change him, it will be a mutual thing and for me both need to change for it to be realistic. And no arzoo changing would not mean any of what u have written, it would only mean she will grow from an immature, insecure girl into a more mature and real strong woman, which she really is not at the moment. There is a big differemce in standing your ground and giving lectures to anyone just because they r different from u. Arzoo looks down upon sahir because he is khados fair enough but doesn't arzoo also looks down upon sahir just becase he has scolded her that too for justified reasons mostly?

As for her clothes fact is professional life whether a fashion house or otherwise has its requirements, it does not mean arzoo has to wear rebealing clothes, she can still be her simple self but wear more stylish clothes. We live in a world where it matters and there is no harm in looking polished. How we look does reflect who we are ... And our appearance is the first thing people notice about us ... And i feel if u work in a fashion house its all the more important.

I feel in this show both arzoo and sahir have past demons, both have developed into these self rightious personalities, even arzoo has anger issues and they both need to fix themselves, hence the concept two flawed people who complete eachother. Sahir and arzoo i feel need to learn from eachother!

Sahir is considered as bad guy in all news before the show aired. after watching the show I feel Sahir is tough guy with good characters. he is not behaving odd.

Arzoo does everything wrong and justifies her behaviour. she never felt sad for what she has done.

comparing to Arzoo, I feel Sahir is not bad.

There has so far been no situation on the show where Arzoo has received flak because she wasnt nice to Sahir!
Frankly she has been in the wrong... Yes his reactions have been more than necessary at times because that's how he is but she hasn't exactly behaved normally!
Consider that she is an intern with the chance of a lifetime... View her actions from that POV...She has been lucky to get second chances!

everything else you've said could be argued one way or another because hindi serials have repeatedly shown man-handling persona as dreamy and oh so cool and now a girl comes into the picture and acts the same way, all the blame goes to her. Yours and other the other replies are saying that his actions are wrong sometimes but we can let it go because that's just his personality but we shouldn't let it go you know? we need to get rid of that kind of thinking. We need to put the blame on the person that deserves it without excusing him from anything. And no Im not making Arzoo out to be some saint, she has flaws like everyone else but when I see a strong female character I freakin love it so much because it's so hard to come up with that, especially in hindi shows. And with the whole theme of, "I can be just as great a guy", I'm liking the way they're heading with her. Okay then, for the bold part, that's my problem exactly. I don't think that being a sati savitri is the way to stand your ground but a similar approach was supposed to be the theme of the show, at least that's what the promos led us to believe. And yes she works in a fashion industry so I admit that does play some role in her changing. I wanted her to change and grow but not so drastically in less than a month you know? I just wished we were given some time for her character to be developed before her outfits did!

Saahir is not a bad guy...he is tough, disciplined and well-manned guy...
I guess Arzoo got scolded because she asked for that...she spoiled fashion show, she hit phone on Saahir.

She is just an intern and should not open her mouth in front of company head.

If you r judging from other shows, it would be unfair to this show. Males leads manhandling has been shown in many shows but as of now in Humsafars nothing like that happened. For whatever reasons Sahir shouted at Arzoo, he was right at his place and every boss will shout. Though he shouted he never went overboard with his anger and became personal with Arzoo. About clothes, Sahir was right at his place. Every office has some dress code and in fashion world its minimal requirement. But again, he did not force Arzoo or insulted her in any way. I find it very natural to change dressing sense. I come from small town in India and used to wear very normal clothes. But as time changed, my life canged now I am n New York and my dressing sense have changed a lot. Nobody asked me to change, it came naturally seeing others around. So even if Arzoo changes her dresssing sense, its very natural. Only thing is , she should not do it only because Sahir is asking, but if she herself wants to be glamourous then whats harm??
In fact it was Arzoo who threw her phone at Sahir. I can imagine feminist reaction if Sahir had done this. Entire forum would have come up with feminism crap. But it was forgotten only because female hit male. So it would be wrong saying that males are justified saying its their attitude. Female characters too get special favoritism among forum because many of us are females.

Only because employee is female does not mean she should get special treatment. Here if we ask for equality we should be able to handle this scolding from boss. Sahir would have shouted at his male employee with same intensity.
