HC is a fine looking man and in general people try to make the lead of their show look better than they really are by dressing them well and grooming them at least in the initial few weeks of the show (unless the role demands otherwise)
But out here its a different story altogether. Harshad is made to look like an unkempt ungroomed man (that too owner of a fashion house). Generally Gul's hero start looking like this after a few months into the show for various reasons.
Is she trying to ensure the viewers don't face heartbreak after a few months and are used to a not so good looking lead from the start coz I can't think of any other reason to make HC look so
