Ekta, Rakhi team up again

Sweety of Hum Paanch to star in Kapoor's Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka

Rakhi Tandon and Ekta Kapoor's association dates back to almost a decade ago, when both of them launched into their respective careers. Recently, the duo was in the news for having sorted out differences that had crept into their relationship after the first season of Hum Paanch.

They have not only teamed up for Hum Paanch 2, but are now taking their reconciliation a step further. Tandon is all set to act in Ekta's forthcoming show Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka on Star One.

Tandon, although reluctant to reveal much says, "I did have a word with Ekta about the part that I will be playing in Nimmo." As for her rapport with Ekta, she says, "Working with her has always been pleasant. And we've proved that we are lucky for each other. When Balaji called me up about the role, I was happy. Besides, I haven't done a daily for a long time. I've accepted, but discussions are still in the initial stages."

Considering that comedy is her forte, will she tickle the funny bone in this show too? "There is no female comedy star in the industry," she says. "Hopefully, I'll be successful in filling that void." The buzz is that her character in Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka is identical to her character in Hum Paanch. Is that true? "The best person to answer that question is Ekta," she replies. Meanwhile Rakhi's own production house is gearing up to start work on their new shows.

Tandon is also looking forward to doing a new film, although she refuses to divulge any details until an official announcement is made.
