Piyush Sahdev who plays Lord Rama in Life OK's Devon ke Dev Mahadev - (Triangle Films Company) says, "Vishnu and Shankar Bhagavan had planned that the Ramayan would happen as its message needed to be imparted for the benefit of mankind. Lord Rama lead an exemplary life- he was purely virtuous."
He agrees that playing Lord Rama is no easy task. "To execute the role of this historical character, the actor must forsake the vices he has and try his level best to lead a clean life. He should quit smoking and drinking. Otherwise how will he ever be able to essay the divinity of the character?"
Piysuh had to work on his body language and way of speaking to slip into Lord Rama's role. He had to exercise restraint while acting and learn how to talk very calmly.
Piysuh's favourite actor to play Lord Rama on television is Arun Govil. "It seemed that he was very well versed with the Ramayan and had understood Lord Rama's character thoroughly."
