Has anyone watched the latest horror flick 'IT'??
Yesterday I watched the movie and I really liked it. It's very different from your run of the mill horror films. It doesn't follows the regular horror movie tropes. The movie doesn't uses too many jumpscares to horrify the audience. Some of the haunting scenes happen in broad daylight and can still scare you. The main villain/ghost "Pennywise the dancing clown" can appear almost anywhere instead of just sitting in a haunted house.

Actually 'IT' is not just a horror film. It's also a thriller, a comedy and even a coming-of-age drama . I liked how the makers have thrown alot of humor even in the scenes where the characters are in grave danger. The music is good too.

Also the characters aren't dumb (which is the case with many horror films). They are charming, relatable and make the right decisions most of the time despite being kids. Some of them even have a backstory.
The dialogues are also very good(one kid named Richie has got awesome one-liners)

All the child actors have done a good job in the movie. But Bill Skarsgard(the main villain) is the show stealer in the film.

IT is much better than the recent horror movie Annabelle Creation, or I'll say any movie in The Conjuring franchise. Though the movie has not any great business in India.

I haven't read the novel by Stephen King from which the movie is based on, so I don't know how good the movie is as an adaptation. But I think the movie stands pretty well on it's own.

I haven't been able to watch a movie in the past three weeks. Might have the weekend free- was gonna watch Annabelle then IT next week. I guess I should just skip Anna altogether after reading your review.
I have read the book, so will let you know how the movie fares.

I have coulrophobia so no. Clowns are creepy enough as it is. Heard copycat clowns are ringing doorbells.

Yes, I saw it in theaters and saw the 1990s version when I was a kid. This one is more accurate to the book. It was very scary but overall, effects, acting was super.👏

I normally hate horror movies but a friend dragged me to this one. It was quite good actually. I closed my eyes at the scary bits and found the rest of the movie quite enjoyable. I hear they're planning to make a sequel.

I've watched it a while ago. It was a good movie with great acting by all the kids. Maybe a better movie than annabelle or conjuring but not as scary as them.
