'Parents' consent is important'

TV actor Rati Pandey talks about marriage, work and how similar she is to her on-screen character

Other than her show Hitler Didi, Rati Pandey has been in the news for her link-up with actor Anas Rashid lately. The actor was upset with the hullabaloo the media created, with a recent report insinuating the alleged couple's break-up. Anas had gone on record to say he won't marry an actress, as he would't want his family to suffer taunts from relatives. Since the actors have never admitted being together, it was weird to see Rati getting worked up about the reports in the first place. But the actor maintains her stance, and says, "We are very upset about it. The media presented his quotes in a wrong fashion."

What kind of man would you like to marry?

A man who I can depend upon.

In marriage, would religion matter?

My parents' consent is very important. They have to like the guy I choose. I can't marry with my parents being upset.

People think you are arrogant. What do you have to say about that?

People who know me don't think so. And those who don't know me don't matter. Despite being labelled as arrogant, I am still around and doing well.

What similarities do you have with your character Indira in Hitler Didi?

We both are family-oriented, strongheaded, short-tempered, but I don't hit people or throw chappals at them. I'm bubbly while she's not and I can handle things with a cool head, unlike her.

Your show has been under the scanner for low TRPs.

It has become an experimental show of sorts as we tried to do a lot, but didn't get time for stories to develop properly. I don't care about TRPs. I've seen shows go off-air within months, yet we are doing well.

God these actors!

Fans don't know her (at least on a.personal front) , did she mean that they don't matter. Fans and celebrities perpetuate mutually. And if actors think that fans do not matter and they can survive without them, they are so wrong.

Anas had said quite controversial things and saying that things were interpreted wrongly doesn't make sense .

I hate media and love how they spice up things. 🤣 Sin ce the actors have never admitted being together, it was weird to see Rati getting worked up about the reports in the first place.🤣

Here they are talking abt Ppl who call her Arrogant! and its not Fans!

Fans never called her arrogant. Here she is addressing ppl who have called her so, and its media wale or so called sources of media wale whoever called her as arrogant. And regd how much she values fans...she had mentioned in few interviews, how much she appreciates fans love n support and how much she values them. Though all her fans dont knw her much on personal level...we do knw abt her and how she is! Infact many fans who have met her even say how wonderfully she receives them and how down to earth and sweet she is! There is nothing as such u have taken tht comment as! I'll just say u 1 example. Once my frnds went to meet her, who dint take prior permission to enter Filmcity! The guards there stopped thm at the gate itself, whn asked Rati di she talked to the guards to allow thm, but whn guards told tht they cant allow these 2 girls just like tht into filmcity coz of some issues(those days security was high coz of something)...Rati di sent someone frm HD sets to pick thm frm the gate and get thm to sets. And inspite of being Busy & tired tht day she spent sometime with my frnds in her room! Doesnt this say a lot!

And its really wierd...soo long whn she dint speak abt this rumors, ppl had problem with her silence. And now whn she said something, thn too its a problem! Isnt showing disappointment to things written wrongly a common thing! And Media Twisting Actors actual comments and presenting it differently isnt uncommon!

Atleast we wanted rati & anas to either accept it or to clarify that there is no relationship b/w them. Their diplomatic answers confuse the fans as to what sort of relationship is this. Hope they are only good friends & nothing b/w them.

i always admired Anas and Rati as friend and also wished to see them as couple, but the last TOI article put me in dilemma

after reading Rati's interview it is very clear that Rati is in deed very good friend of Anas... no doubts left in my mind, i just want to suggest Anas to keep quiet and not to give contradictory statements about his friendship with Rati, that will stop all this speculations in media.

if they want to come together as couple in future, i will them to have all the happiness in the world 😳
Or if they stay as friends, i wish their friendship continues forever 😊

sami jinko jaanna chahiye wo nahi jaante na actors jaanker kya kar lenge 😆hd writers story par nahi full dhyaan bas title role or character par dete hai story ka kya karna koun soche likhe 😆

they dont want to show indira ki kahani ye ye dikhana chahte hai kese indira jagat kalyan karti hai 😆 start ke 4 ya 5 month hi kahani kahani lagti thi koi samaj seva ya doordarshan ke gaanv ke liye banaye gaye adds nahi 😆
