Hi Roshni,I may be misunderstanding you here (so correct me if I am), but I don't think that "goodness" and belief in god have anything to do with each other. In that regard, I am not questioning Indira's "goodness" because one can be "good" without believing in god. Well Dia.. I agree with you that one can be good without believing in god. Indira , according to me, belongs to this category.i knew you would come up with this reply that goodness has nothing to do with god. I have faced such a debate earlier and my opponent had put me in a fix witha similar statement.I tend to come back to same thoughts😆thats me.. But i can just say as some part of explanation to my point.. that " goodness" i meant was to have a higher purpose in your actions or rather than actions i would say to do your moral duties.I had indira here in my mind as she took up her duty immediately when inder left sf and concentrated on it whole-heartedly. Here she denied to believe in god but what made her so quickly take charge of the sf and go out to office daily on time was none other than the god in her.. Basically what i believe is god or the supreme power is rightly called supreme because it rules the universe in every way.. It doesnt call you to believe in him. You may or may not but infact he takes right on you !!I just was talking here with the context of charcters shown in HD .. may be thats why i m not able to present my pov or i actually lack one. But i enjoyed reading your thread. Many views indeed. And all, offering a new dimension to the highly debatable topic-GOD !I love your topics !! 😊@bold: I agree with you here...I also think Indira believs in god. But her understanding of what it means to believe in god is very naive, superficial, and contradictory (in my opinion).my opinion too If you believe that god is responsible for all the adversity in one's life then the flip side is also true and one has to give credit to god for all that is good with you and your circumstances. I also don't understand what she means when she says that she believes in herself, and not god.May be the end of the show might put some light on this. i mwaiting for an answer too. It seems to imply that belief in god and belief in yourself and your actions are mutually exclusive? Again, it goes to show a very cursory and shallow understanding of faith and religion.I think you gave a accurate assessment of Rishi's character. I think we should add another category to the 3 Raj mentioned...maybe 1B or something. Actually, I think a lot of people fall in this category. Being human, you tend to get dejected during difficult phases of your life, but overall, you maintain a positive relationship with god/higher power.Rishi.. He simplifies the concept of god to me. I understand the god in him😊
